Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 342: Chapter 324: A Day as a Teacher, a Lifetime as a Father, How Should One Regard a Month as a Teacher?

Upon entering the base, Luo Qianqian didn’t feel much different compared to last time. Aside from a few additional large devices, there hadn’t been much change. Xu Tianyi, however, was agape. Not to mention that the base was underground, the lighting was so perfect. Just looking at the equipment alone, it was world-class.

”You go to the usual spot, and you, come with me,” Hei Yu said, the moment he entered the base, he became a man of few words, like a frosty teacher. Luo Qianqian smiled at Xu Tianyi, letting Hu Si wheel her to her usual spot, but she still had a question, ”How did you know I was here?”

With an open hand gesture, Hu Si replied, ”If I put the equipment here, where else could you be?”

Luo Qianqian sheepishly nodded, ”Sorry for the trouble.”

”No worries, just repay me later,” Hu Si said, seeing Luo Qianqian didn’t feel like talking, he didn’t press on: ”Do you want to eat, or should I give you glucose?”

”I really don’t feel like eating today, let’s go with glucose,” Luo Qianqian said, her face pale as she grimaced, afraid of the pain but even more scared of seeing food she couldn’t stomach.

It was only when Luo Qianqian entered the inner room that she realized it wasn’t just this morning’s equipment that was here; even things that should be in a hospital were present. She turned her head in suspicion to look at Hu Si, only to hear him say, ”With me around, isn’t it better than a hospital? With that kind of money, it’s better to buy me some things as tribute.”

Luo Qianqian awkwardly rubbed her head. She hadn’t realized how impressive he was, but Hei Yu knew him, and he also knew Qin Liang, so he couldn’t be too bad.

”You have good taste. That kid, aside from a bit of a stomach issue, has decent physical quality and his figure isn’t bad either,” Hu Si commented out of the blue as Luo Qianqian turned on the computer.

Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes, ”My idol.” Since he was still young, she could say whatever she liked, borrowing the excuse of a child’s innocence, while quietly planning to make Xu Tianyi hers.

”I can tell,” Hu Si sat in front of the computer, a mischievous smile on his face, ”If, and I’m just saying if, that kid were to stand in front of you with a fair-skinned, beautiful, big-chested, slim-waisted lady, what would you do?”

However, to his surprise,

Luo Qianqian looked down at her chest and waist, then touched the skin on her face, and then looked at her arms, nodding, ”Aren’t you describing me? Although I’m already excellent, I can’t handle so much praise. After all, I’m young and would get conceited.”

Hu Si was speechless and quietly left the room, only to see Hei Yu leaning against the wall waiting for him.

Hu Si raised an eyebrow and closed the door behind him, ”What’s up?”

”What do you need glucose for?” Hei Yu asked, holding his phone and pointing at the information on it.

Hu Si pointed at Luo Qianqian’s room, ”She doesn’t want to eat, so she gets glucose.”

”Are you really a doctor? Did someone who doesn’t like her bribe you?” Hei Yu frowned, ”Do you think this is a pharmacy, where you have everything?”

”Believe it or not, it kind of is. Just this morning I saw digestive tablets aplenty, lozenges aplenty, eye drops aplenty...”

”Oh, and while you’re here, prescribe me something else, the ones I’ve been using lately aren’t working,” Hei Yu said, unabashedly extending his hand.

Hu Si took Hei Yu’s wrist, frowning, ”You haven’t been eating properly.”

”You’re too nosy,” Hei Yu withdrew his hand, looking uncomfortable.

”Then I won’t bother with you anymore. You need to take care of yourself over time, medicines have side effects, and you don’t care about yourself,” Hu Si said nonchalantly, looking indifferent.

Hei Yu frowned, hesitating for a moment, ”I’ll try to eat more gradually.”

Hu Si sighed, ”We can talk about that issue later, but it looks like your little apprentice has started to fall in love early, huh?”

”I know,” Hei Yu sighed, ”But that kid is really not bad, it’s just that his family is too messy.”

Hu Si raised an eyebrow, ”Have you forgotten that you promised to make your apprentice my daughter-in-law?”

Hei Yu glared, Are you trying to commit a crime???

However...

Five years ago, Hei Yu wasn’t yet called Hei Yu, he was just a dejected young man who drank to drown his sorrows, suffering from gastrorrhagia, gastric perforation, gastric ulcers, and gastritis. Without a penny to his name, he was saved by Hu Si, a recent graduate, who took him to the hospital. Then, unable to afford to stay in the hospital, he gradually recovered under Hu Si’s care. Back then, without any money, he made a promise: ”One day, I’ll repay you by finding a good-looking apprentice for you to marry.” And that’s how they became friends. Over the years, Hei Yu had introduced many to Hu Si, but Hu Si had turned them all down, claiming, ”None of them are your apprentices.” Now he’s finally taken on a female apprentice, only to find out she’s a minor...

Back then, Hei Yu was just a love-lost youngster who hung out in internet cafes, while Hu Si was just a recent college graduate. And yet, they had inexplicably made such a promise.

”Let’s forget about this apprentice. I’ll find someone older to discuss this matter,” Hei Yu repeatedly shook his head. Not to mention that Luo Qianqian was young, seeing that she liked someone, he would not bring it up; it’s better to demolish ten temples than to destroy one marriage.

After a while, Hei Yu raised his head, his face full of embarrassment, ”Do you really have to call me teacher? Do you want to marry my apprentice because you want to be my student?”

Hu Si was momentarily stunned, then flew into a rage. He was just waiting for someone and had made a casual joke. How did this rascal get the upper hand?

”Call me Daddy,” said Hu Si.

”Get lost,” Hei Yu rolled his eyes, but then he saw Luo Qianqian sitting on the wheelchair, her face flushed with embarrassment. He quickly asked, ”What’s wrong?”

”...Did I disturb the teacher?” Luo Qianqian looked like she was about to cry, ”But I can’t back out now...”

Hei Yu saw that the computer chair was blocking the way behind her, no wonder she couldn’t get back, ”Where are you going?”

Luo Qianqian was startled, looking at Hei Yu. ”I was going to ask Xu Tianyi to find me some study materials. Don’t worry, I won’t reveal the relationship between you and Doctor Hu.” Yet her gaze shifted back and forth between them, disbelief written all over her face.

”What relationship?” Hu Si was also taken aback.

”The father-son relationship, of course. I didn’t expect Doctor Hu to be of such an age. Don’t worry, I am very tight-lipped,” Luo Qianqian made a zipper motion across her lips. However, now Hu Si was already laughing so hard that he couldn’t get up from the floor.

”In that case, a teacher for a day is a father for life, huh.” Hei Yu squinted at Luo Qianqian, who felt a chill down her back.

”Teacher, you’ve taught me for more than a day. It’s been a month,” Luo Qianqian argued calmly, ”If we go by what you said, wouldn’t you be my great great great... great-grandfather? Does my grandfather even know about this?”

Hei Yu was startled, then he didn’t know whether to cry or laugh.

”So from now on, I’ll call Doctor Hu ’Brother Hu’ and you ’teacher.’ That way, he’s one generation below you. Is that okay?” Luo Qianqian suggested with a smile.
