Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 326: Chapter 308: Coma

When Luo Xiying and the others arrived, Luo Qianqian had already left the operating room. Fortunately, the bullet had passed through Luo Qianqian’s flesh and had not even grazed the bone, leaving no remnants after passing through her arm. Unfortunately, because she had hit a tree, she had fractured three ribs and her leg bone, and even some of her internal organs were damaged, but thankfully, the injuries were not severe and she could recover with rest.

Luo Xiying, standing outside the intensive care unit, looked at his little niece’s pale, unconscious face with a pang of heartache, but he could only clench his fists tightly, because the person lying inside was Ye Meng.

Qin Liang patted his friend’s shoulder, ”This kid is quite lucky. Neither of the two shots hit any vital organs, and the bullets have been extracted. He just had to come and see for himself.”

Luo Xiying nodded, ”She’s still in danger, waiting for her to wake up.”

”I heard something...” Qin Liang glanced at Li Zexi and then at Luo Xiying before he spoke.

”What happened?” Luo Xiying furrowed his brow, his eyes never leaving Luo Qianqian inside the hospital room, yet he felt the gaze directed at him.

”That person, the one who died...” Qin Liang pursed his lips, ”It was her doing. This kid said she saw blood and looked terrified, so maybe she doesn’t want to wake up because of the trauma...”

”She did it?” Luo Xiying was stunned. Even though Luo Qianqian usually appeared calm and collected, deep down she was still a child who needed love. How could she withstand such a shock?

”Moreover, when I was carrying her to the car... her body and face were covered in blood, not just her own but also the blood of the person who was killed.” Qin Liang pursed his lips again, reluctant to meet Luo Xiying’s gaze, ”The equipment I gave her was just for show. I even didn’t provide her with bullets; the bullets were given to her by Zhang Jin for self-defense. I never expected this to happen...”

”It’s not your fault.” Luo Xiying nodded, looking at his lifeless niece inside the room, feeling a pang of discomfort, ”She’s timid, I know. It was me who asked you to take her to gain some experience. It’s all my fault.”

Watching Luo Xiying’s eyes redden and his face fill with sorrow, Qin Liang was at a loss for words. Everyone knew that the person who truly deserved blame was the one who leaked the information. He looked fiercely at Luo Qianqian, ”Little One, don’t worry. Your Boss will definitely catch the culprit!”

Luo Qianqian’s injury quickly alerted the Wei Family. Due to Chang Xi and Wei Ming’s relationship, Wei Guang also hurried over. The three siblings stayed in the hospital, bringing top-notch specialists, but Luo Qianqian still did not wake up.

Qin Nuan, from the Qin Family, defying her elder brother’s attempts to stop her, skipped classes to visit the little girl who shared a similar ordeal.

Ye Liang, though Luo Qianqian was only her sister in name, was still very concerned and didn’t hesitate to take a train to come after hearing the news.

Xu Tianyi, the boy who knew best the reasons behind Luo Qianqian’s present circumstances and who Luo Qianqian regarded second in importance only to her mother, brother, and Xiao Yu, also hurried over.

The person in the hospital room remained lifeless, showing no signs of awakening.

Fang Rou also came. She wasn’t particularly close to Luo Qianqian, but in such a situation, who knew how long Luo Qianqian could live? Qin Liang, even more distressed, went several days without sleep, investigating the information of every soldier in the unit, sparing no one.

Meanwhile, Luo Xiying was calmly handling a smuggling case. Ten were caught, one died, two were injured. Most had confessed, and the unstolen artifacts had also been recovered. Yet, amidst handling these matters, his thoughts still lingered on Luo Qianqian, who remained in the hospital.

Luo Qianqian continuously watched as the muscular man was shot in the head by her, his blood splashing over her face and body. No matter how she tried, she couldn’t clean it off, and no one responded to her calls. In pain and helplessness, she felt as if she were trapped in a closed space, reliving that moment over and over, then being chased by the bloodstained man, unable to escape. Her will gradually sank, not understanding her current state, whether she was alive or dead. If alive, could it be that her own death would prevent her from seeing this scene again? If dead, why wouldn’t her dad come to protect her? Had she already reincarnated?

”It’s Wednesday already, and if you don’t wake up, I won’t be able to call Luo Shufan.”

In her haze, Luo Qianqian heard her brother’s name, tears streaming down her face. Brother, she still needed to save her brother! But how could she escape this blood-colored space? Continuously running, crying, shouting for her brother, all were in vain.

It wasn’t visiting hours, so they couldn’t enter to visit her, but when Li Zexi, who was always watching Luo Qianqian through the glass window, saw her stir, he hurriedly shouted, ”Doctor, Doctor! The patient in the room moved!”

Bai Yixian, Xu Tianyi, Ye Liang, and Qin Nuan, who had been sitting aside, all stood up, watching Luo Qianqian inside the room. They only saw her face filled with terror, her hands grasping wildly, and her legs kicking about, as if she had seen something horrifying. Even though her hand was connected to an IV tube and her leg was in a cast, she didn’t move easily, and the IV needle even flipped out, drops of fresh blood dripping in sync with the dripping glucose.

After the doctor arrived, he immediately began the examination and noticed her body’s various values were climbing. His expression also changed several times, ”No abnormalities, we have to wait for her to wake up on her own.” He hesitated for a while before he called Ye Liang aside — this was the child’s brother, the doctor knew: ”I’m afraid that even if she wakes up, she’ll need to see a psychologist.”

Ye Liang was stunned for a long time and then nodded, ”Thank you, Doctor.”

Luo Qianqian still hadn’t awakened, but compared to her previous lifeless appearance, her current state was somewhat better. Even though she was in fear and fright, she didn’t give off the impression that she was teetering on the brink of life and death.

”Has she awakened?” Qin Liang rushed over upon receiving his sister’s notice, frowning as he saw Luo Qianqian, who seemed to have endured more injuries,

Qin Nuan shook her head, burying herself in her brother’s chest, ”Brother, why is she so unlucky, encountering every possible trouble?” She knew more than Qin Liang, even more than Luo Xiying or even Luo Qianqian’s own brother Luo Shufan, but this was a secret between two people, not to be easily exposed.

Qin Liang stroked his sister’s hair, ”You see how blessed you are, right? Hurry back to class, your second brother is worried.”

Qin Nuan stubbornly shook her head, ”I won’t, I want to stay till she wakes up. She is my best friend, without equal.”

Looking at his sister’s eyes, Qin Liang was somewhat taken aback, but what mind-bewitching drug had this little girl given his sister that made her care so much about this child?

”Yes, brother knows, behave,” Qin Liang said, gazing through the glass at the girl covered in cold sweat.

”She’ll be okay,” Li Zexi said confidently, a girl who dared to handle knives and guns even when at a disadvantage — how could she be easily defeated?

Xu Tianyi looked worried, yet he nodded affirmatively, his girl, wouldn’t be knocked down by such events.

As if sensing the noise from the outside, Luo Qianqian’s eyelashes trembled.
