The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 193: Chapter 193- [Holy Blade Arts] Seventh Light: [Heaven’s Interval]

Crimson eyes, jagged teeth, and a long black tail sprouting from their back, the figure resembling a human was a demon. What’s more, given how dangerously close it looked to a human, it was no high ranking demon, but a being even above that.. a Demon General!!

At this moment, the mood of this demon general was quite sour.

”This was a complete and utter failure, damn those two. Do they have eyes or buttons? How did they not see two level 9 humans among the lot? Now, not only did I lose two high ranking demons given to me, but I lost an army of a thousand demons and demonic beasts. There is no way I can report this back to lord Malcroth. I have to do something”.

Suddenly, as if it had an idea, the demon’s face twisted into a wicked grin.

”That’s right, they came here to explore that labyrinth. Kfufu... if they end up losing all those relics, their trip here would be wasted. Now, how do I gather enough hostages?”.

The demon was not called Malganor the Architect of Despair for no reason. It started spinning a devious plan in its mind.

”Hoh, I see. Not a bad plan. However, there is one glaring mistake in it”.

Suddenly, a voice sounded so near him that the Demon General, who had never freaked out in its entire life, felt its entire body jolt from fear.

”What? How?!!”

BLINK... Using some kind of typical movement skill that was unique to the demons, Malganor instantly opened some distance from the other party. Its eyes swivelled to look at the figure that appeared behind its back, without it even realising.

”You!! You are the Level 9 human who was with that group of humans just earlier. How did you reach this place?”

No, what he should have probably asked was how did this human found out that he was here. Or maybe he should have just run away the moment he saw a knight with hair like liquid gold and wearing a platinum white armor that outshone everything in this world, pulling up next to him.

In any case, one thing was certain, the demon was not getting out of here unscathed.

”That’s not what’s important. What you should really focus on is the critical mistake that you made in your plan.”

Reinhardt smiled, slowly and exaggeratedly taking out his divine sword Solar Edge from the [Dimensional Storage].

DEATH!!

At that very instant, a powerful premonition hit Malganor, who always thought he was far more intelligent than his peers. The premonition he had was RUN. RUN AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.

There is no fighting this being; only death is certain.

BLINK... Immediately, it executed the demonic movement skill and flapped its wings so hard that it might have broken a few bones. However, thanks to that, he got a ridiculous boost in speed that allowed him to get as far away from the mountain as possible.

”The mistake you made was thinking that I was just a level 9 human. [Holy Blade Arts]Seventh Light: [Heaven’s Interval]

”.
While saying that, Reinhardt slowly slashed forward. At that moment, it was as if time had slowed down; the sword slashed in a slow motion, leaving a glaring mark in the fabric of space that did not disappear even after a whole day.

At the same time, Malganor, who was already far away from the peak, suddenly felt its body itching. Then its vision wavered, and before it knew what was going on, it saw the world from two different directions.

That was the last scene that Malganor saw before its body was sliced in two from head to toe, before turning into ashes from the star fire the sword was forged with.

.

After a couple of hours of rest and healing, the two knight orders were ready to leave these ominous lands and return back to their home.

On their way back, the knights marched with swagger in their body movements, their morale high from the successful mission.

Leading his order from the front, Reinhardt steered his warhorse towards the beautiful knight, heroically trotting forward.

”That was an impressive skill. Looks like you would have been fine even if I did not intervene”.

”Says the one who went off to finish the last boss. Who was spying on us? Was it a Demon General?”

It seemed that Leona sensed something, too. However, since the distance was too great, she could not pinpoint what exactly that was.

”Indeed, it was a Demon General. However, it was not old or ancient one. Just some creep, trying to spy on us and report all our movements back to its lord.”

Reinhardt dismissed a Demon General as if it were your everyday alleyway goon. Perhaps in this world, only he could talk about them like that.

”In any case, since you took down that Demon General, you were a big help, you have my thanks”.

As usual, the reply of this woman was quite cold. It was not like she was cold and impassive every time; no, it was only when conversing with him that she became like this.

Having finished saying her piece, Leona moved away and joined her knight orders, trailing a little behind. Since her head was down, it was unknown what kind of expression she was making.

’Sigh... I did it again. Why is it that every time I speak with that man, I am never able to speak my true thoughts?

Leona, now amongst her order, agonised over the exchange she had with that man just a moment ago. Right then, what she wanted to say was in the lines of— ”No, the one that was impressive was you. You finished off a Demon general so fast. Thanks to you, we finished exploring the labyrinth so fast. You have my gratitude. Perhaps we could cooperate like in the future missions”.

That was what she wanted to say. However, for some unknown reason, whenever she was in front of Reinhardt, she could not be her true self and turned into that icy queen.
