The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 188: Chapter 188- Shelter IX & the Arcanists (2)

If it continues at this rate, who knows how many more weeks or even months they would have to wait here. No wonder, Leona thought it was wise to call him and his order rather than wait for the well to fill up.

As he thought, the thing that was stopping one of the Seven Great Knight Orders was not a powerful enemy but a mechanism.

”So, what do you think? Can you and your knights fill it up? If it’s not possible even for you, then we will have to call the Saintess here too.” Leona glanced at him, her face impassive.

Reinhardt smiled. Who does she think this woman is teasing?

”There is no need for the Saintess to step up. For something of this magnitude, I alone am enough”.

His pride roused, the Divine Paladin stepped forward and extended his right hand forward. ’[Lightforge Ascension]’ he slowly muttered in his heart. Seconds later, a sun dawned in this dark underground chamber that had probably never seen a single ray of sunlight shine down on it.

However, today, not only a ray but the entire hall was illuminated by a gigantic sun that shone down with its divine light onto everything. The underground chamber and even the entire labyrinth started shaking, bowing at the might of the divine sun.

”This much should be enough.” Saying that, Reinhardt stopped his skill from fully exerting its power. At its size, it was just half of its usual power.

WOAHH... At the same time, the powerful and dramatic effect of his skill caused the members of the Knights of Lunar Veil to gasp collectively. A sun just appeared over their head, how could they not be shocked?

”Commander... is that the skill you used back in the capital?” Bob and the other holy knights asked. For some of them, this was not their first time looking at this skill of his.

[Lightforge Ascension]Effect: The Paladin summons a massive, radiant sun of pure divine energy overhead. Can be crafted into any shape or weapon— sword, hammer, or spear. The gigantic weapon strikes with devastating force, shattering both physical and magical barriers, and explodes upon impact, dealing holy damage to all enemies in its radius.

The Paladin is empowered for a short time, increasing speed and strength.

This was the very same move he used to kill the demon who infiltrated the capital half a year ago. Well, it ended up being an overkill. Nevertheless, at its full power, the sun was the size of half of the capital.

After gaining some mastery over his strength, Reinhardt is now capable of invoking the skill at its fifty percent power. However, even that was too much for this occasion. That is... only if he forged it into a weapon.

With extreme and delicate actions, the Divine Paladin turned the massive sun filled with divine energy into a waterfall that dropped into the well, quickly filling it up.

”Hoh, that is quite a powerful skill,” Leona commented, her face still cold and impassive.

”Right, you haven’t seen it before”.

As the only Commander out of the Seven Great Commanders who was absent that day, she did see Reinhardt using the [Lightforge Ascension] skill on that day in the capital.

”If you are referring to this year’s Magic Knight Entrance Exam, then I was away on a mission. Though I did hear about your recovery and appearance from my knights. Seeing you today, it seems like you have been fully healed”.

Was this woman praising him or what? It was extremely difficult to understand what Leona was thinking, thanks to her impassive face.

That aside, the well was almost about to be filled up, and the door behind the statue was showing signs of creaking open. However, before that, they need to take care of something.

Suddenly, the statue started trembling. Gulcainus’s eyes glowed with bright light, and it stood up from its half kneeling pose. Compared to its incredible size, the order looked just like a colony of ants crowding near its foot.

”Should I do it?”

Reinhardt asked. However, Leona was already on the move before he could complete his sentence. Like a shooting star, the Commander of the Lunar Veil shot towards the slowly standing upright statue and executed her skill.

To the onlookers, she looked like a blazing comet, piercing through the defensive barrier of the statue and through its body while leaving behind star dust that faintly sparkled in this dark chamber.

BOOM... cracks appeared on the statue after that attack and within a few seconds, it crumbled apart. Leona also dropped to the ground, her figure heroic and beautiful.

One hit... it took just one hit from Knight of the Lunar Veil’s commander, and the statue that looked incredibly tough and powerful, was downed. That was the power of one of the Seven Great Knight Commander, that was the power of the Dawn Valkyrie.

BANG... at the same time as the shattered fragments of the statue fell into the abyss, the door it was protecting behind also slammed open.

”The sixth floor is now open to us, thanks to you.”

It has been more than a week that they were stuck. However, Reinhardt’s presence had allowed them to break past their obstacles that had stopped them from progressing all this time.

”Well, I’m glad I could be of help to the Dawn Valkyrie and her knights.” Reinhardt smiled dashingly, his charm capable of bewitching any woman. Yet in front of Leona...

”Let’s go, now that the sixth floor is open, we should hurriedly get moving.”

It weirdly did not work.

While the knights from both the orders descended onto the sixth floor, at the same time, outside.

”Kishishi... Look at them... swarming like ants around spilled honey, thinking they’ve found salvation. How foolish, how ignorant.”

High up in the ash grey sky, a demon slowly flapped its wings and observed the human camp below. It had crimson eyes, jagged teeth and dark black limbs so sharp that they could tear apart anything.

On its head, it had four horns and its appearance was quite hideous, covered in a powerful looking carapace.
