The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 191: Chapter 191- Two High Ranking Demons

”The First Arcanaists never spoke of their names, not in writing, not aloud. It was them... the harrower. The bomb was never meant for war. It was meant for containment. You don’t kill the Four. You bury them where memory cannot reach. This place was never meant to be found. It was meant to be forgotten... before they remember.”

The record ended there. However, more than clues, it only left more questions.

Who was this person, and what was he talking about? What did the Great Federation unleash? What was the prophecy of the gods? What was the reality shattering event that occurred? And what was he so fearful of?

The more one read, the more confusing it sounded.

”At least one thing was clear, this place, or rather the cube in front of the,m was extremely important and was something this person was desperately trying to hide in this shelter”.

Something that was seen as consequential even in the ancient times. One need not even mention how significant the item here was. If they took it back, analysed it, and are able to understand what this thing was, it might just become another weapon that is capable of being used against demons.

”To use a shelter meant for sheltering people instead of a great vault to hide something, I wonder what this cube is.” Leona carefully stored the item in her [Pocket] while muttering to herself.

With their mission for coming to the labyrinth now completed, the knights searched every corner of the building one last time before heading back up.

.

.

Outside, a scene of chaos and battle was waiting for them. As soon as Reinhardt, Leona, and their forces surfaced, they were stunned to see the scene in front of them. Fire and explosion breaking out everywhere.

Dust clouds rising up to the sky, blood drenching the land, and corpses piling up as high as a mountain. The previously organised camp of the Knights of the Lunar Veil was nowhere to be seen.

Instead, what was playing in front of them was a vision of chaos and battle. Knights roaring and yelling in the distance, the piercing roar of the demonic beasts, and the unforgettable shrill sounds of the demons laughing.

The two Commanders moved instantly, the knight order following behind them stepped forward right after.

Leona zipped past like a streak of shooting star through the onrushing hordes of demonic beasts and joined up with her knight order she left on the surface to secure the area.

Seeing them bloodied and injured yet still fighting the demons, her face became chillingly cold. She was just about to start a killing spree when her senses detected a sudden, violent power surge.

Immediately, she used a skill and pushed all the members of her knight back.

BOOM... the magic connected devastating dozens of meters of land in a fiery inferno.

”Hoh, you managed to dodge my spell, huh. Kisshishi... interesting.”

The demon laughed. Numerous magic circles could be seen rotating around his person. Then, without any delay, all of that magic was fired towards Leona.

Each and every magic that was invoked by the demon was extremely powerful and was of intermediate grade at the very least. However, the Lunar Veil’s commander perfectly intercepted all of them, cleaving through magic and everything.

”What?” The demon was surprised. The next second it chanted some kind of weird spell and hurriedly dodged the attack that the former just threw at him.

”Tch, so you are one of those abominable knight commanders, huh? No wonder you dare to come to our territory,” The demon cursed.

Having failed at her surprised attack, Leona also stared at the demon with surprise.

”You are a high ranking demon?”.

Not only was it capable of speech, but it was extremely intelligent and used spells of multiple grades.

”Kishishi... might as well, if I can kill a commander, my rank in the Eleventh Army will skyrocket. Playtime is over, from now on you will experience what it feels like to be in hell.” The demon laughed in a shrill voice.

On another corner, having arrived at the side of his knight order, Reinhardt observed for any casualties. Sighing only when he saw that his knights were only slightly injured.

”Commander,” At this moment, he was joined by his holy knights and the team he led inside the labyrinth.

”The Holy knights will take command. The knights, squires, and recruits will fight in groups. Make sure you do not step out of your formation.”

Saying that, he unleashed the effects of all of his titles and zipped through the battlefield, culling down any demonic monster hordes or demons in his way.

The arrival of the two commanders and the high raking members of the two knight orders had completely changed the situation.

The knights who were on their back foot, injured and constantly retreating back, had suddenly become powerful to the point where the enemy they were struggling against previously, were no longer their opponents.

”It looks like we managed to arrive on time,” Reinhardt spoke, cutting down three mid ranking demons who were spamming their magic.

Using his [Eyes of Divine Clarity], he quickly understood the true situation of the battlefield. Thankfully, they weren’t too late. The demons’ attack began not too long ago.

Suddenly, two huge flaming claws burning with an infernal heat came crashing at him from both directions.

At that very instant before they could get close to him, Reinhardt executed the [Holy Blade Arts] first technique, brandishing his sword and easily cutting through the enemy’s attacks.

”What?”

The demon that attacked him was shocked. The magic he used earlier was a high grade one and packed the power to blast a hole through a mountain. Yet this human in front of him could cut through his magic as easily as if it were paper.

”Who the hell are you, human?” The demon questioned.

Reinhardt stared at the flying enemy and grinned, ”Don’t you know it’s basic decency to introduce yourself first when asking the name of the other person?”
