School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 288: Chapter 328 Han Yuting’s Curiosity

She’s Han Haihe’s daughter?

The shock sent Cat Daddy trembling all over, nearly wetting himself.

He never expected that this aberrantly fierce individual would actually have ties with the Han family; if he had known that, he wouldn’t have dared to be so ruthless, even if he was lent an extra dose of courage!

Scared as he was, Cat Daddy had his own backing. Han Haihe owed him a high-interest loan of five hundred thousand, and he wouldn’t just let it go easily.

”Buddy, though I can’t beat you, you still have to be reasonable, right?” Cat Daddy said defiantly, ”Her father owes me five hundred thousand, and today, out of respect for you, I’ll forget the interest as long as he pays back the principal of five hundred thousand, I’ll release her immediately.”

Chen Nan frowned. He did have over a million on him, but he couldn’t just throw it away willy-nilly!

Moreover, Han Haihe had lost five hundred thousand before, and yesterday, he came to pay and lost another five hundred thousand. The speed of his losses was comparable to the speed of light, clearly indicating something fishy in the casino—it had to be trickery at play; otherwise, such a large sum could not be lost so swiftly.

If he were to give another five hundred thousand now, he would be nothing but a big fool, squandering his money for nothing!

”I think you don’t quite grasp my point.”

Chen Nan patted Cat Daddy’s pocket, took out his box of cigars, put one in his mouth, and lit it saying, ”I don’t have a penny, but you must release the person, understand?”

Cat Daddy’s face turned cold.

His eyes fixed on Chen Nan: ”Buddy, don’t push things too far. I’ve been in this line of work for many years, I’m not a pushover. My boss is Zhao’s bodyguard, Hong Yijiang, Jiang, so I hope you can show some respect.”

The Zhao family?

At the mention of these three words, Chen Nan chuckled.

Since they were Zhao Dongshan’s people, things would be easier.

Patted Cat Daddy on the shoulder, Chen Nan said indifferently, ”Hong Yijiang, right? Okay, then I’ll just ask your Boss Zhao whether you will release the person or not.”

Cat Daddy was startled.

Big Brother Zhao Dongshan? That can’t be!

He couldn’t even dream that the ’Boss Zhao’ Chen Nan was referring to was the head of their Zhao family. He thought the guy in front of him, at most knew some martial arts but couldn’t possibly know Zhao Dongshan!

By that time, Chen Nan had taken out his cell phone and dialed Zhao Dongshan’s number.

”Brother, you haven’t contacted me in a long time. Are you looking to have a few drinks with me?” Zhao Dongshan’s chuckles came from the other side.

”I really don’t have time to drink today,” Chen Nan said with a smile, ”It’s like this, you have a subordinate called Hong Yijiang, right? His underling, Cat Daddy, is charging a high-interest loan in a gambling den and has detained my uncle. I need your help with this.”

”Sure, no problem. You just relax, I’ll speak to Hong Yijiang and get a clear picture.”

”Then I’m troubling you, Brother Dong.”

Chen Nan hung up the phone with a smile, then sat down by the stool with Han Yuting, glanced at Cat Daddy with a smile, and said, ”I’d advise you to hand over the person quickly, or you’re going to regret it soon.”

”Buddy, the money hasn’t been transferred yet, I’m afraid it’s not good to release the person!”

Cat Daddy smiled on the surface, but inside he despised Chen Nan a hundred times over. In his view, this guy was purely posturing. The so-called phone call to Brother Dong was probably entirely made up.

”Then you just wait it out.”

Chen Nan shrugged his shoulders lightly and patted Han Yuting’s soft little hand, comforting her, ”Don’t worry, everything will be fine.”

Han Yuting nodded vigorously, ”Mm, I believe you!”

At that moment, the sound of ringing broke the silence—Boss Cat’s phone was going off.

Jiang!

Seeing this name on his cellphone screen, Boss Cat shuddered and swiftly answered the call, his smile sycophantic, ”Brother Jiang, you...”

He hadn’t finished his sentence when an angry curse from the other end of the line cut him off: ”You goddamn bastard Yellow Cat, fuck your ancestors, what the hell have you done? Do you even know who you’ve crossed? Goddamn it, you actually detained Marshal Wang’s uncle, if you wanna die just go jump in the Pacific Ocean, don’t screw around and drag me down with you, I just got a half-death scolding from the boss.”

Boss Cat, aka Yellow Cat, was dumbstruck by the scolding, and it took him a long while to recover.

With a tone full of confusion, he asked, ”Brother Jiang, who did you say this Marshal Wang is?”

”It’s the boss’s sworn brother, Chen Nan!” Hong Yijiang cursed loudly, ”What the hell are you doing, not even knowing who Marshal Wang is! Now, it’s not just about me, even the four Hall Masters have to treat him with respect when they see him, but you damn fool, do you even know your own last name? You actually dared to detain his uncle, do you believe I’ll come over now and slap you to death?”

Higher in status than the four Hall Masters!

Yellow Cat broke out in a cold sweat and quickly said, ”Jiang... Brother Jiang, I know what to do now, I’ll apologize and release him immediately, you can count on me not to cause you any more trouble.”

”But you’ve already fucking caused me trouble, from now on, don’t say that you know me, damn it!”

Hong Yijiang continued swearing and hung up the phone.

Yellow Cat stared stupidly at his phone, frozen in place, his body filled with a sense of powerlessness.

Even a fool would realize by now that the young man in front of him was none other than the legendary Marshal Wang, the brother of Zhao Dongshan.

I’m such a fucking idiot, if I’d known Han Haihe had such powerful backing, wouldn’t I have offered him five hundred thousand no problem!

Regret filled Yellow Cat’s heart as he swiftly glanced at his minions, ”What the fuck are you all standing around for? Hurry up and bring Mr. Han out, no, invite him out!”

”Yes, Boss Cat!”

Though his minions felt somewhat baffled, they followed orders and left.

Turning to Chen Nan and Han Yuting standing to the side, Yellow Cat hesitated for a moment before gritting his teeth and walking over, forcing a smile uglier than crying: ”Brother Nan, Miss Han, I’ve been blind and offended you both, I hope you can forgive me.”

Han Yuting was taken aback for a moment, seemingly understanding something.

After all that had happened just now, she could almost be certain that Chen Nan was someone extraordinary; this sudden change in Boss Cat’s approach must be connected to the phone call Chen Nan had made earlier.

Could it be... this guy is one of those legendary crime lords? Tired of the life of violence, so he’s hiding out on campus?

Han Yuting looked curiously at Chen Nan, finding it somewhat implausible.

The crime lords in movies were all so cold, but this guy was approachable and seemed pretty gentle in his interactions with others. The only things that seemed to fit the image of a crime lord were his fierce martial arts and that cool way he smoked!

Who exactly is he?

In Han Yuting’s eyes, as she looked at Chen Nan, they were filled with curiosity.
