School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 253: Chapter 286: Am I having dark thoughts?

Principal Yang, furious, stormed the high school senior’s building.

Since the post didn’t specify which classroom Huo Xinya was in, Yang Shan had no choice but to start from the first floor and search each one.

Not on the first floor!

Not on the second floor either!

On the third floor, after rushing to the third floor, Principal Yang saw a man and a woman engrossed in conversation by a classroom window. He couldn’t tell if they were tutoring or whispering sweet nothings.

This is the place!

In a fit of rage, Yang Shan stepped back three steps and fiercely kicked out, a loud ”bang” sounded as the previously closed classroom door was kicked open, the lock made a ”ding-dong” sound as it rolled several meters across the floor, hitting the opposite wall.

”Rascals! In broad daylight, under the clear sky, you two dare to disregard school rules and openly engage in romance in the classroom. Have you no semblance of student decorum!?”

After bursting into the classroom, Yang Shan pointed at Chen Nan and Huo Xinya and began to bellow.

Chen Nan was annoyed; he was intently listening to Huo Xinya explaining grammar when he was suddenly interrupted by Yang Shan.

This damn principal, had he forgotten the incident by the river last time?

Chen Nan’s expression turned ugly as he turned to Yang Shan at the back of the classroom, ”Principal, the class president is tutoring me in English. Is there a problem with that?”

How... how is it him!

Seeing Chen Nan, Yang Shan’s mind buzzed, and he short-circuited in an instant.

He had never dreamed that the man flirting with Huo Xinya would be Chen Nan...

He remembered clearly, last time by the river with Wang Huixi playing in the car, and then Chen Nan took a photo. For Chen Nan, Yang Shan could only appease him, absolutely not offend!

It had taken five hundred thousand to smooth things over with Wang Huixi’s husband; if Chen Nan were to release the photos of the car shaking, then all his efforts would be in vain.

Although Principal Yang was very frustrated now, he was not a fool.

He knew clearly, once he offended Chen Nan, what the consequences would be.

Yang Shan was too frustrated today, so after seeing the post, he rushed over without properly identifying the person involved.

And now, he’d run into Chen Nan, a nail that couldn’t be hammered.

Now that he had encountered a situation he couldn’t forcefully confront, what should he do?

Backing down and withdrawing? Then as the mighty principal, to be driven away by a student, where would he put his face?

Yet, if he didn’t back down and dealt with it impartially, and if this guy released the photos, could he still sit securely in his principal’s seat?

What to do?

What the hell should he do?

Yang Shan’s mind was a mess, utterly disordered.

He had never before thought that he, as a principal, would dare not deal with a student.

After a brief moment of contemplation, Yang Shan made a great decision—provoking Chen Nan now was not the wisest move, so why not lose a bit of face, better to back down than to lose his job and his reputation!

”Uh... it’s nothing, continue, continue, I just came to check how clean the classroom is. Now that I see, um, it’s quite clean, not bad, keep it up,” having said that, the frustrated Yang Shan quickly turned around and scurried away.

”Take care, Principal,” Chen Nan said with a smile.

”Alright, alright, continue,” Yang Shan turned his head back with a smile and hurriedly ran out of the classroom.

Watching Yang Shan beat a hasty retreat, Huo Xinya scratched her head in confusion, ”What is Principal Yang really up to? Why is he saying such puzzling things?” Then she looked at Chen Nan and asked, ”Was it your doing?”

Chen Nan just smiled without saying a word.

Huo Xinya fell silent for a while before adding, ”At first, he seemed to have mistaken us for being in a relationship, but then suddenly, why did he realize his mistake?”

”Do you want to know?”

”Of course! Why else would I ask you?”

Chen Nan chuckled and patted his chest, saying, ”I think it’s probably because I’m too handsome, too charismatic, and the moment my king’s aura was released he felt so inferior he couldn’t bear it, so off he slunk. Right now, he’s probably off getting plastic surgery.”

Huo Xinya stared blankly, then said speechlessly, ”Could you be any more narcissistic?”

”It’s the truth, not narcissism,” Chen Nan replied. ”Otherwise, why would he run away as soon as he sees me?”

”All you do is brag. It’s not a king’s aura you have, more like a turtle’s aura,” Huo Xinya retorted with a snort. ”Alright then, let’s not worry about that and just continue our revision.”

Chen Nan nodded.

Watching the two, Han Yuting felt somewhat guilty.

She had initially found it funny to spread the big news that Huo Xinya and Chen Nan were dating, so she’d made a post about it. Yet, when she saw Principal Yang burst into the classroom, she regretted it, feeling that it was her fault they got caught.

Fortunately, Principal Yang had left without saying anything, otherwise she would have certainly felt awful.

...

The afternoon English exam, without any suspense, turned out just as expected for Chen Nan—aside from the multiple-choice questions, the rest he either scribbled nonsense or left blank.

The middle school basics were very nearly useless on a Grade 12 exam paper.

This was the last exam of the day. Chen Nan had considered handing in his paper early, but then thought, considering how earnestly Huo Xinya had helped him with his studies, what would she think if he just handed in his paper like that?

Fighting off the drowsiness washing over him, Chen Nan stared at the exam paper and began doodling turtles and nincompoops on his scratch pad...

When the exam was finally over, Chen Nan handed in his paper and charged out of the classroom faster than anyone, as if he was fleeing a disaster zone. He had thought he could escape from Su Qingqing’s clutches today and wouldn’t have to carry her, but—

”Idiot, you finally came out, I’ve been waiting for you for ages.”

At the big entrance to the Grade 12 buildings, Su Qingqing and Liu Tiantian stood hand in hand, both beaming as they looked at him.

Chen Nan felt like crying but had no tears—had this darn girl handed in her paper early? If he had known it would come to this, he would have handed in his paper early too and made his escape!

”Actually, you didn’t have to wait for me,” Chen Nan said forlornly.

”If I don’t wait for you, who’s going to carry me?” Su Qingqing smiled joyfully, stretching out her arms: ”Come on, kneel down!”

Chen Nan rolled his eyes and gritted his teeth, ”Su Qingqing, let me reiterate once again, I am your bodyguard, not a slave!”

Su Qingqing scratched her head, ”I know, I never thought of you as a slave.”

”Then why do you have me carry you every day?”

”You’re my cousin!” Su Qingqing threw her arms around Chen Nan’s back, ”Hehe, a cousin carrying his cousin, it’s only natural, how can that be slavery? Your thinking is just too dark.”

I think too dark...

Chen Nan felt like crying without tears, at a loss for words, wondering if he had seriously wronged her in a past life and now had to pay the price in this one. Life is tough!
