Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2540: Chapter 1859: An Unexpected Situation (Part 2)

After the meeting, everyone went to the hotel restaurant together to enjoy a lavish dinner.

This was also due to Karan’s royal family considering the business delegation’s fatigue from the journey and not scheduling any activities for the night.

After eating, everyone went back to their rooms to rest, including Bai Xiaosheng.

But as Bai Xiaosheng entered the room, Lin Weiwei came to report that there was a guest.

Bai Xiaosheng was wondering who it could be, and then saw that the visitor outside was actually Yang Yishan from the Yang Family!

Seeing Bai Xiaosheng somewhat surprised, Yang Yishan took the initiative to smile at Bai Xiaosheng and said, ”Mr. Bai, hello, we meet again.”

As he spoke, Yang Yishan extended a small, soft, white hand.

Bai Xiaosheng quickly reached out to shake it, ”Miss Yang, we meet again.”

”How come you are here?” Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but curiously ask.

Yang Yishan chuckled and said, ”Our Yang Family has a lot of business in the Karan Chieftaincy, and we’re planning to establish factories in Akkro and the three major cities soon, so naturally, I’d come by more often.”

With this explanation, Bai Xiaosheng understood and nodded.

”Actually, I came because I knew you all were here, so I wanted to come by and say hello,” Yang Yishan said with a smile. ”My father, Mr. Yang Xiaoyun, was supposed to come as well, but he had something come up at the last minute, so he couldn’t make it. Please forgive him, Mr. Bai.”

After being bested by Bai Xiaosheng, Yang Yishan’s view of Bai Xiaosheng actually improved significantly.

Bai Xiaosheng could also see this, but didn’t care much.

Whether she valued him or not was irrelevant; Bai Xiaosheng simply didn’t care.

”Thanks for Mr. Yang’s consideration,” Bai Xiaosheng still courteously said.

”Now, since we’re partners, we naturally need to strengthen our relationship. I also brought some local specialties for your business group friends, assuming you all didn’t have time to explore on your own,” Yang Yishan said with a smile.

That was thoughtful.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled, just about to express his gratitude, when Yang Yishan winked and said, ”Mr. Bai, aren’t you going to invite me in for a bit?”

Only then did Bai Xiaosheng realize that they had been chatting at the door all this while.

He immediately gave an apologetic smile and made an inviting gesture, ”Miss Yang, please come in.”

Yang Yishan immediately beamed a sweet smile and walked in.

Lin Weiwei, standing to the side, couldn’t help but glance at Yang Yishan’s swaying hips and frowned slightly.

Previously, she didn’t think much of it, but now, she found this woman somewhat ”awkward” and not very pleasant to look at.

”Weiwei, a cup of coffee, please,” Bai Xiaosheng didn’t notice Lin Weiwei’s unusual demeanor and instructed.

Lin Weiwei nodded, but there was a faint hint of displeasure on her face.

Yang Yishan ended up chatting and laughing with Bai Xiaosheng for over half an hour.

Eventually, seeing that it was getting late, Yang Yishan reluctantly got up to say goodbye.

Before leaving, Yang Yishan sincerely told Bai Xiaosheng, ”Mr. Bai, our Yang Family has many friends in Karan’s business circles. If you have any issues here, feel free to let us know. We’ll definitely offer all the help we can! After all, we’re partners now!”

Faced with the Yang Family’s goodwill, Bai Xiaosheng naturally expressed his gratitude.

After seeing Yang Yishan off, Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but mutter to Bai Xiaosheng, ”We just clashed with the Yang Family and pushed them to bow down. Now their young lady comes running to be all chummy. It feels so strange...”

What’s so strange about it?

Bai Xiaosheng instantly chuckled, ”People come to show goodwill, and you’re not happy about it. Alright, alright, go rest up early. Aren’t you tired from the day?”

Lin Weiwei pouted, not saying a word.

”Go to bed early; staying up late will give you dark circles, and you’ll look bad tomorrow. How will you travel with us like that?” Bai Xiaosheng teased.

Lin Weiwei was startled, said a quick goodbye to Bai Xiaosheng, and hurriedly left.

Nighttime skincare and masks were not to be skipped, and they took a lot of time.

Watching Lin Weiwei’s hurried departure, Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but smile.

Back in his own room, Bai Xiaosheng truly felt exhausted, and after a simple wash, he collapsed onto the bed, falling asleep in no time.

The night passed without incident.

The next day, Bai Xiaosheng got up early to get ready. After having breakfast with the business group, the car came to pick them up.

Leading the way was Milo, driving his conspicuous RV as always.

The Karan Chieftaincy is small, with only about six hours’ drive from south to north, and the economically developed cities are relatively concentrated, making this inspection much more convenient.

As usual, Bai Xiaosheng was pulled into Milo’s vehicle.

Upon boarding, Milo made it a point to remind Bai Xiaosheng that he could bring his own entourage along.

The implication was clear.

And this guy kept the door open, craning his neck to look outside.

”No need to wait, Mr. Milo, it’s fine if I’m the only one in your car. The others have work to do,” Bai Xiaosheng said with a smile. ”If you’re not inviting me, then I’ll get off.”

”No, no, of course, I’m inviting you!”

Milo laughed heartily, pulling Bai Xiaosheng inside, reluctantly letting the door be closed.

Claiming to discuss the itinerary, but the whole way Milo and Bai Xiaosheng chatted away about beautiful women from various countries and regions.

Bai Xiaosheng tried several times but failed to steer the conversation back on track, so he gave up.

Besides chatting about women, Milo circled around inquiring about Huaxia women’s preferences, and then indirectly asked about Lin Weiwei.

In the end, even when Bai Xiaosheng blatantly brushed him off, he wasn’t the least bit embarrassed.

Facing someone like this, Bai Xiaosheng was rather helpless.

Fortunately, they soon reached the first inspection site.
