Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2503: Chapter 1844: There Are More Solutions Than Difficulties (Part 2)

The two of them exchanged a glance, sharing their thoughts through eye contact.

”Then we’ll go back and think it over,” Bai Xiaosheng said indifferently.

The implication was that they were not satisfied; when they said they would consider it, they meant there was a high possibility they would discuss changing the transportation company.

After all, Mr. Maiwen didn’t know that Bai Xiaosheng and his partner approached them at the request of their partner, Yang Corporation, and it would be best to cooperate if possible.

Mr. Maiwen only saw Bai Xiaosheng’s lack of interest and Dong Tianlu’s impatience, eager to leave, which made him anxious.

If this big order slipped away, he reckoned he’d spend the next six months living in regret, possibly even scolding himself awake in his dreams.

”Mr. Bai, how about this? You sign with them, and we’ll cover the rental fee!” Mr. Maiwen gritted his teeth and said, ”If you’re not reassured, we can pay you all the rental fees upfront!”

With his words, it practically meant they could use the ship for free, which was a big offer coming from a transportation company.

If they further bargained, Mr. Maiwen might lose his sanity.

Bai Xiaosheng glanced at Dong Tianlu, who nodded, indicating it was fine.

Bai Xiaosheng then turned to Mr. Maiwen, smiled brightly, and said, ”Since Mr. Maiwen is so sincere, there’s no need for us to go back and reconsider. Let’s discuss the cooperation terms.”

Hearing this, Mr. Maiwen beamed with joy and nodded frequently.

Right there at Maiwen Transport Company, Bai Xiaosheng, Dong Tianlu, and Mr. Maiwen sat together to discuss the terms of the cooperation.

The head of the Aisha Chieftaincy State Business Department, who had come with Bai Xiaosheng, had to leave early due to an urgent matter.

In fact, his appearance showed the department’s attention to the matter, ensuring Mr. Maiwen wouldn’t dare treat it lightly. Whether he stayed or left was of no consequence now.

To show their gratitude, Bai Xiaosheng and Dong Tianlu escorted the business department head out, and naturally, Mr. Maiwen warmly invited him to visit again next time for work guidance.

After seeing the official off, everyone returned to the negotiation table.

Mr. Maiwen not only called his core team to study the terms but also requested representatives from the third-party company responsible for the sale of transport vehicles and the ship to come over.

Upon hearing about the matter, the third party also showed great importance, specially sending a vice president with several subordinates to arrive.

From morning until afternoon, with barely any time spent on meals, they fully committed to analyzing the terms.

In the end, both sides finally reached an agreement.

With the freshly printed, still warm contracts, Bai Xiaosheng and Dong Tianlu signed their names.

They were fully entrusted to handle this matter, and later, the chamber of commerce would transfer the funds to them, avoiding complicated hurdles.

With the signed contracts in hand, Mr. Maiwen was visibly pleased, tapping the contract with his finger and exclaiming, ”It’s done!”

Bai Xiaosheng and Dong Tianlu gathered their contracts and didn’t notice Mr. Maiwen’s expression.

Upon hearing this, Bai Xiaosheng looked up and said, ”Mr. Maiwen, please make all necessary preparations on your end. At that time, the transportation will depend on you.”

Bai Xiaosheng spoke politely, but in reality, if there were problems in the transportation process, Maiwen Transport Company would be responsible and compensate Bai Xiaosheng and his team.

Hearing this, Mr. Maiwen grinned at Bai Xiaosheng, saying, ”Rest assured, we’ll make sure vehicles and equipment are checked, and all transit permits are prepared. We are professionals at this. However, you’ll initiate the transportation process in three weeks, right? If the cargo isn’t ready by then, we can delay by a few days, but not too long. Keeping personnel, vehicles, equipment, and even the ship on standby incurs high costs.”

Bai Xiaosheng nodded with a smile and replied, ”Okay.”

Bai Xiaosheng naturally understood that maintaining a massive fleet of vehicles and drivers on standby, along with various loading and unloading machinery and the ship docked at the port, resulted in large expenditures. Any delay meant the transportation company would incur significant costs.

Therefore, in their contract with the company, if delays were due to Bai Xiaosheng and his team, they would have to compensate the transportation company.

Before signing the contract, Dong Tianlu had actually whispered to Bai Xiaosheng, saying that given Yang Corporation’s good cooperation record in the past, such terms were mostly symbolic, and the transportation company wouldn’t earn this compensation fee.

Now that the contract was signed, and there were no other matters, Bai Xiaosheng and Dong Tianlu bade farewell to Mr. Maiwen and the vice president of the third-party company.

Mr. Maiwen personally escorted Bai Xiaosheng and Dong Tianlu out of the company, saw them into their car, and watched them leave.

After their car disappeared from view, Mr. Maiwen couldn’t help but smile at the third-party company’s vice president beside him, as they shook hands.

”Happy cooperation.”

”No, it should be said, happy collaboration!”

The two exchanged a knowing smile, their expressions full of deeper meaning.

...

On the way back, in the car, Bai Xiaosheng and Dong Tianlu both breathed a sigh of relief.

The matter was finally settled, and they didn’t need to make a second trip, which was quite reassuring.

”This time, we can take these transportation contracts and proceed to sign the remaining contracts with Yang Corporation.” Dong Tianlu said with a relaxed smile, looking at Bai Xiaosheng, suddenly giving a charming smile, teasing, ”Who would have guessed, Mr. Bai, someone so serious, would be full of small tactics during negotiations with Mr. Maiwen, using street bargaining strategies so skillfully.”
