Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2512: Chapter 1847: Trouble Arrives (Part 2)

Bai Xiaosheng nodded and smiled, ”Then thank you, Sister Dong.”

”We’re family, no need to be polite,” said Dong Tianlu.

As she spoke, Dong Tianlu was also preparing to take her leave.

But before she could lift her foot, her phone rang.

”I’ll take a call first,” Dong Tianlu said apologetically to Bai Xiaosheng as she took out her phone.

Bai Xiaosheng made a ”please go ahead” gesture and returned to his desk.

Dong Tianlu answered the call while walking toward the corner of the room.

Lin Weiwei didn’t disturb Dong Tianlu but instead handed the report she was supposed to deliver to Bai Xiaosheng.

Less than a minute later, Bai Xiaosheng and Lin Weiwei simultaneously heard an angry and shocked voice from Dong Tianlu, ”What! Say that again!”

Bai Xiaosheng and Lin Weiwei exchanged a bewildered glance and looked toward Dong Tianlu’s direction.

Dong Tianlu was not an ordinary person, composed and unemotional, yet she was losing her composure today.

At first, it was regarding major news from Yang Corporation, which was understandable.

But why was she now both shocked and angry?

”What you’re doing...bastards!”

”You won’t get a single cent!”

Under Bai Xiaosheng and Lin Weiwei’s gaze, Dong Tianlu erupted into cursing.

This left the two even more perplexed.

Not long after, Dong Tianlu ended the call in a huff and walked towards Bai Xiaosheng, her expression angry.

”What happened?” Bai Xiaosheng asked.

Actually, he had already heard quite a bit of information, but it was not complete.

”Yang Corporation has played a venomous trick on us!”

Dong Tianlu said through clenched teeth, ”They tricked us into buying that large batch of second-hand transport vehicles, claiming they functioned perfectly well, and yes, there was indeed no problem. But a new transport law was issued this morning in an administrative area through which they must pass during transport, and those vehicles fail to meet one of the requirements.”

”Just now, Maiwen Transport Company informed me that if we want to keep using them, we must have the vehicles modified, and not counting the handling fees and time-consuming processes, the modification cost is a huge expense, almost a third of the price of each vehicle!”

”As an industry company, they must have heard the news in advance and updated their equipment accordingly, now dumping this pile of junk on our hands!”

Dong Tianlu’s words made Bai Xiaosheng raise an eyebrow.

Currently, Maiwen Transport Company has been acquired by Yang Corporation, and Yang Corporation is in legal disputes with the original transport company, seemingly to establish their own transport company.

Maiwen Transport Company has, under Yang Corporation’s instruction, viciously stabbed us in the back.

Now, those vehicles are ours, and we either have them modified to go on the road or be refused for not meeting local laws. Maiwen Transport Company assumes no responsibility and will claim compensation for the stoppage due to the non-compliance of our transport tools!

Well calculated!

Previously, Maiwen Transport Company paid for renting the second-hand cruise ships for us, and now, this money seems to be coming back!

Bai Xiaosheng speculated that the so-called third-party company had long made a pact with Maiwen Company.

The batch of second-hand transport vehicles in Bai Xiaosheng’s hands, even if sold back, would depreciate immensely.

”Maiwen Transport Company also reminded us to activate the transport agreement as per the original plan, otherwise, they would sue us for breach of contract and demand compensation for their losses!”

Dong Tianlu, indeed, mentioned this point.

”Shameless!” Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but blurt out.

”Not only that,” Dong Tianlu bit her lip and continued, ”the third-party company just reminded me over the phone that if the second-hand cruise ship we leased doesn’t set sail by the end of this month, it will need several inspections, and since the delay is on our part, we’ll have to cover the costs, including a bunch of other expenses. Also, if we don’t set sail within a month, they’ll file for a large penalty with the relevant departments as agreed. If we don’t operate the planned route within two months, they’ll sue us, alleging through abnormal means that the other party’s assets were intentionally rendered idle and unauctionable, forcing us to buy that cruise ship!”

Dong Tianlu huffed, ”Even if we run an empty ship on the route, they will use all sorts of tricks to trip us up; they just want us to buy that cruise ship!”

Yang Corporation, through Yang Xiaoyun, dug no fewer than three pits for Bai Xiaosheng and his team.

First, they had Bai Xiaosheng sign on to Maiwen Transport Company, allowing Yang Corporation to fulfill their agreement with Aisha Emirate.

Even if Bai Xiaosheng didn’t accept this tab, it wouldn’t matter.

Because Maiwen Transport Company now counted as Yang Corporation’s property, equating to Yang Corporation’s Maiwen Transport Company signing a major co-op project, utilizing vast numbers of drivers, satisfying their employment commitments to Aisha Emirate.

Secondly, Maiwen Transport Company successfully sold off their second-hand vehicles and other equipment to Bai Xiaosheng, achieving financial liquidation, and updated their equipment without much loss, even offloading that second-hand cruise ship burden.

Finally, Maiwen Transport Company would accuse Bai Xiaosheng of non-compliance and pursue huge compensation through a lawsuit.

The collaboration between Bai Xiaosheng and Yang Corporation results in nothing, with not even goods available for transport, forming an unbreakable deadlock.

”It seems that not signing a contract with us was just the beginning; the troubles to exploit us are still to come!” Bai Xiaosheng said in a deep voice.

Such a mindset is venomous.

To conduct business in this manner, is truly unmatched!

”What do we do now?!” Dong Tianlu asked in a solemn tone.

Bai Xiaosheng stood, pacing aside, eyes locked on a national map on the wall.

Lin Weiwei and Dong Tianlu watched Bai Xiaosheng’s back.

Moments later, Bai Xiaosheng decisively turned to face the two women.

”What needs to be done now, is to swiftly cut the Gordian knot.” Bai Xiaosheng declared, ”Buy that second-hand cruise ship, end the disputes with the third party! Rent a warehouse, seal off all the second-hand transport vehicles! Sever ties with Maiwen Transport Company, paying them off for breach of contract as per terms.”

Bai Xiaosheng planned to decisively sever all troubles, then turn back and focus all efforts on dealing with Yang Corporation.

Fast and ruthless!

Yang Corporation’s intent to bind us with these troubles will fall through.

”I agree with what you’re doing!” Dong Tianlu couldn’t help nodding, ”Those vehicles are designed specifically for transporting special products, cannot be used for anything else, and presently can’t even go on roads. Rather than letting Maiwen Transport Company harass us, doing it your way makes more sense; even if we switch to transporting crude or petrochemical products elsewhere, their transport company would still likely cause trouble, making future cooperation impossible. The third-party company’s situation with the second-hand cruise ship is much the same.”

”However, this is another huge expense,” Dong Tianlu acknowledged, ”I will contact others, and I’m sure they’ll understand, each household taking a share, isn’t too much.”

At her words, Bai Xiaosheng shook his head.

Dong Tianlu was immediately puzzled.

”I didn’t mean for everyone to share the cost; my previous words were directed at Weiwei,” Bai Xiaosheng clarified, ”I’ll cover all the costs myself.”

Lin Weiwei paused, then nodded.

Dong Tianlu looked at Bai Xiaosheng in disbelief, shaking her head, ”Covering such a large sum by yourself? No way! This is all of our issue, I cannot let you bear such a heavy loss!”

On hearing this, Bai Xiaosheng smiled—

”Loss? Sister Dong, you misunderstand. I will have the Yang Family buy all these things back at a multiple of what I paid!”
