Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2516: Chapter 1849: Who Did You Say That Was?!

Lin Weiwei, Lei Ying arrived with the relevant staff and lawyer, following all protocols, yet Mr. Maiwen was unwilling and had no real reason to evade.

Moreover, his own son held a weakness that could be exploited, and if accused of infringing upon a woman, it would become a major issue.

No matter how annoyed Mr. Maiwen was with his disappointing son, he couldn’t bear to watch him head to prison.

Eventually, Mr. Maiwen reluctantly compromised and, together with Lin Weiwei and her team, completed the termination of collaboration procedures.

The batch of secondhand transport vehicles still parked in the Maiwen Transport Company warehouse would be driven away by the drivers hired by Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying to a rented warehouse for storage.

Between both parties, everything was settled cleanly.

Despite having received the compensation check, Mr. Maiwen’s smile was more like a grimace.

This was obviously not what his new boss behind the scenes was delighted to see.

Lin Weiwei, Lei Ying, and their team left without looking back, leaving the third-party trade company’s president Andy to stay behind.

Mr. Maiwen saw him off, but hesitated to make a move, stealing glances at Andy.

Mr. Andy also looked at him.

”Mr. Andy, this was discussed well in advance, how could you unilaterally settle things with them ahead of time?”

Mr. Maiwen couldn’t hold back and complained to Andy.

”You also ended the collaboration with them, didn’t you?” Andy looked bewildered and shrugged, saying, ”They truly bought that secondhand cruise ship, why wouldn’t I agree? What you gave me was a blank check, while they offered solid silver.”

Mr. Maiwen opened his mouth to further accuse him but found himself speechless.

”Alright, the reason I stayed was to let you know that our cooperation ends here. Goodbye, Mr. Maiwen.”

Mr. Andy was courteous enough to clarify before turning and leaving.

Mr. Maiwen watched Andy’s silhouette, his expression dark, and finally turned back to his office.

His cherished son had long disappeared, likely afraid of further scolding.

Mr. Maiwen didn’t care for that disappointment, pondered for a while, and took out his phone to make a call.

As the call connected, a woman’s cold voice came through, ”Hello, Mr. Maiwen!”

It was Yang Yishan’s voice.

Mr. Maiwen immediately proceeded cautiously with her, ”Miss Yang Yishan, there’s been trouble on my end!”

...

Yang Xiaoyun was in his study at his mansion perusing the financial reports for the business he handled when he heard a rapid knocking at the door.

Unless there was urgent business, no one would dare disturb him in such a manner.

Yang Xiaoyun immediately set aside his materials and raised his voice, ”Come in.”

Yang Yishan pushed open the door, his expression slightly serious.

”What happened, Yishan?” Yang Xiaoyun asked immediately upon seeing him.

”Dad, news just came in from Maiwen Transport Company.” Yang Yishan was approaching as he spoke, ”The Huaxia Business Group’s Bai Xiaosheng sent representatives to terminate the contract with them!”

”What?!” Yang Xiaoyun was surprisingly shocked to hear this news.

”You instructed Maiwen, didn’t you, that if anyone sought to terminate, he must not agree and find every excuse to delay, informing you first? Why did he agree to such a swift termination with them?” Yang Xiaoyun glared sharply.

The contracts between Maiwen Transport Company and Bai Xiaosheng were, to be honest, a noose around Bai Xiaosheng and the Huaxia Business Group merchants’ necks.

To have it removed so swiftly, in just a few days!

This genuinely made Yang Xiaoyun somewhat furious.

”I heard Bai Xiaosheng sent people over, accompanied by the head of the Aisha Emirate Business Department, and even several prominent lawyers, leaving Maiwen completely unprepared with no means to delay.” Yang Yishan explained.

Yang Xiaoyun’s gaze darkened, exhaling heavily, ”Maiwen, ultimately not someone we cultivated, lacks that die-hard loyalty, didn’t even consult before untying himself from the other side!”

Yang Xiaoyun spoke these words, truly misjudging Mr. Maiwen.

Mr. Maiwen indeed considered contacting Yang Yishan, but helplessly, his son created leverage held by their opponents. If he dawdled, they might take advantage, and he had no choice.

”Now, what we can use to counterbalance the other side is only that third-party company’s secondhand cruise contract, right? Call them immediately...” Yang Xiaoyun thought, quickly saying.

Yang Yishan frowned, ”The third-party company terminated the contract with Bai Xiaosheng even before Maiwen Transport Company.”

”Hm?!” Yang Xiaoyun heard, frowning at Yang Yishan.

”According to Maiwen, Bai Xiaosheng’s side bought that cruise!” Yang Yishan said solemnly.

This statement stunned Yang Xiaoyun.

The opposite side first bought that batch of secondhand transport vehicles, then paid the breach penalty, and even bought that secondhand cruise?

Mind you, the third-party company priced that ship quite high.

These expenditures, while bearable for those eleven Huaxia enterprises, were just throwing money in without visible outcome.

Yang Xiaoyun didn’t believe those dozen people were of one mind with no objections.

These collective matters, any dissent from one or two would cause postponement.

Think of Western alliances, anything major involving expenditure entails repeated meetings, without result.
