Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2513: Chapter 1848: Defensive Counterattack

Bai Xiaosheng made a decision to bear the costs himself, breaking the contract with Maiwen Transport Company and the third-party business to buy that second-hand cruise ship, seal that batch of second-hand transport vehicles, and smooth over the current troubles.

Upon hearing this, Lin Weiwei didn’t say a word and was about to go carry it out.

”No, that’s not feasible!”

Dong Tianlu stopped Lin Weiwei, disagreeing with Bai Xiaosheng’s decision.

”Bai Xiaosheng, these expenses are no small amount! How do you plan to cover this cost? None of Zhenbei Group’s subsidiary companies participated in this cooperation, so expecting the company to cover the losses is definitely out of the question! Are you planning to pay that much out of your own pocket? Is your family a financial consortium?”

Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but look at Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled at Dong Tianlu and said, ”Apart from my position in the group, I actually have my own businesses...”

This was no secret, Bai Xiaosheng even believed that many people, including Dong Tianlu, should already know about it...

Sure enough, Dong Tianlu was not surprised by Bai Xiaosheng’s words.

”Our Dong Family enterprise is a family business, of course, we have some partners, but we hold absolute control, and I am currently the head of the Dong Family enterprise,” Dong Tianlu said to himself, ”But even I, if I ask the Dong Family to absorb such a huge expenditure, would face strong opposition, not only from the partners but also from within the family; they would resist me, possibly even reproach me.”

Seeing Bai Xiaosheng unmoved, Dong Tianlu urged, ”Bai Xiaosheng, do you understand what I’m saying? If you want to cover such a large amount by yourself, can your own businesses even survive? If you have partners, you’ll lose their trust, which will sow the seeds of trouble for you in the future!”

Dong Tianlu was emphasizing the severity of Bai Xiaosheng’s decision.

”Also, this is something we all have to face together; you can’t play the hero and take it all on yourself.” At this point, Dong Tianlu bit her lip and said, ”I signed all contracts with you, at the very least, let me share the burden with you! This way, our respective pressures will be much lower!”

Dong Tianlu’s remarks were sincere and heartfelt.

Bai Xiaosheng was also very grateful.

Even Lin Weiwei was somewhat moved.

Unfortunately, Dong Tianlu did not have an accurate understanding of Bai Xiaosheng’s capabilities.

Currently, Bai Xiaosheng owns over a dozen first-rate enterprises, among which seven or eight have assets exceeding tens of billions, and in all the major collaborations Bai Xiaosheng has facilitated in the past, those enterprises have always focused on ”making big money silently” without seeking fame or profit.

Now, Bai Xiaosheng’s personal assets were approaching those of Lu Yun and Jia Chengshan, and they were growing at a rapid pace, while his disposable funds had reached a staggering amount, even far surpassing eminent business figures like Dong Tianlu in terms of financial flexibility.

Even if Bai Xiaosheng were to take on all the breach of contract penalties and buy that second-hand cruise ship, it would indeed be no big deal.

”Sister Dong, you can rest assured about this matter. I have my calculations, and I’m really not trying to make a show,” Bai Xiaosheng said to Dong Tianlu with a smile.

But no matter how Bai Xiaosheng explained, Dong Tianlu still wouldn’t agree to let him alone bear the financial pressure.

Even Lin Weiwei couldn’t help wanting to tell Dong Tianlu that Bai Xiaosheng’s decision was completely feasible.

In the end, Bai Xiaosheng said to Dong Tianlu, ”Sister Dong, it’s better to resolve this matter sooner rather than later. It’s better to do it quickly rather than slowly. If one side mobilizes funds to settle the matter, it will be faster and more direct, avoiding any complications or issues from the other side; otherwise, what would be the point of making sacrifices? I know you’re concerned for me and worried. How about this, if my side runs into any funding problems because of this, I will ask for your help, how about that?”

After Bai Xiaosheng said this, Dong Tianlu finally had no more arguments and, after pondering for a moment, finally nodded.

”If you insist on this, I can’t stop you. However, if you need help, just let me know, and I’ll do everything I can to assist you!” Dong Tianlu could only say this.

”Alright,” Bai Xiaosheng said with a grateful smile, nodding earnestly.

”Alright, then I’m leaving now. If you need anything, just say the word!” Dong Tianlu sighed, concluding.

Bai Xiaosheng and Lin Weiwei saw her to the door, watching her leave.

”How long will it take to mobilize the working capital from each company?”

Turning around, Bai Xiaosheng reported a figure to Lin Weiwei.

The funds needed to be ample to ensure that any further issues with Maiwen Transport Company and the third-party company could be promptly resolved.

Moreover, this money couldn’t be taken from just one or two companies; at least five or six were needed to ensure there was no impact on the liquidity of each company, especially since everyone was currently preparing funds for Bai Xiaosheng’s Bichi City business plan.

With her extensive experience in handling funds, Lin Weiwei quickly provided an answer, ”If we start working on it right away, the fastest would be by tomorrow noon.”

”Then it will be by tomorrow noon!” Bai Xiaosheng said firmly.

Lin Weiwei didn’t hesitate and simply said, ”Alright.”

Bai Xiaosheng then returned to his desk, activated the authorization for Lin Weiwei, and drafted a plan on which enterprises should allocate how much funds, leaving it to her to handle.

As Lin Weiwei was leaving, she happened to run into Lei Ying coming back, and immediately pulled him along.

Handling this matter was already part of the plan, originally, Lin Weiwei was going to look for him.

Once everyone had left and the office quieted down with only Bai Xiaosheng remaining, he fell into deep thought.

Despite his calm appearance, Bai Xiaosheng’s mind was racing.

Yang Corporation thought they had gained an advantage over him, but they would have to repay it tenfold in the future!
