Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2501: Chapter 1843: A Minor Complication (Part 3)

Regarding this, Dong Tianlu didn’t have much of a competing mindset, just reminded Bai Xiaosheng, ”Our so-called business alliance currently only exists in words. In the Huaxia business community, there are many business associations, of which I’ve joined seven or eight, serving as a permanent director for two or three of them. If we want to establish a big business alliance, it has to be a real organization.”

This issue wasn’t something Bai Xiaosheng hadn’t considered, even Xiahou Qi had reminded him multiple times.

”No rush, I’ll get started on this after returning to the country,” Bai Xiaosheng said.

Dong Tianlu didn’t say much more.

The journey was smooth, and soon Bai Xiaosheng and his group reached their destination, a transport company called Maiwen.

With the head of Aisha Emirate’s business department clearing the way, Bai Xiaosheng and Dong Tianlu didn’t spend an extra minute and met the general manager of Maiwen Transport Company—Mr. Maiwen.

Upon learning the purpose of Bai Xiaosheng and Dong Tianlu’s visit, the middle-aged man in his forties to fifties smiled like a blooming flower.

Wasn’t this like a big order landing on your lap while staying at home?

However, Mr. Maiwen’s smile seemed to freeze as if he remembered something afterward.

”What’s wrong, Mr. Maiwen, is there something amiss?” Bai Xiaosheng noticed and quickly asked.

Dong Tianlu looked curiously at the other party as well.

Why the sudden change in expression despite the initial delight?

Mr. Maiwen glanced at the business department head who came along and politely said to Bai Xiaosheng, ”We can handle your order, but to carry it out, it would have to be postponed for a few months, even half a year.”

”What do you mean?” Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but exchange a glance with Dong Tianlu, looking curiously at the other party.

”The thing is, our company has a batch of vehicles specialized for transporting your products, which are due for an upgrade, have been checked and stored, and listed for trade online. Let me declare first, those vehicles have absolutely no issues, it’s just about upgrading,” Mr. Maiwen said, ”The new vehicles we’ve ordered will arrive in batches, originally it wouldn’t delay operations, but your order stretches our current vehicle capacity thin; we can’t wait for the new ones to arrive and then transport in batches, I fear you wouldn’t accept that.”

Bai Xiaosheng and Dong Tianlu were taken aback.

Unexpectedly, there really was a problem.

”From what you’re saying, the original transport vehicles have no issues. Can’t you just retrieve them for now and not sell them?” Dong Tianlu asked.

”But we’ve already signed agreements with third parties, unless someone buys them, we can’t take them back,” Mr. Maiwen explained while spreading his hands.

This indeed posed a problem.

Bai Xiaosheng and Dong Tianlu furrowed their brows.

”How about, I make a suggestion and see what you think,” Mr. Maiwen cautiously said, ”If you have sufficient funds, you could first purchase these vehicles, and then entrust them to us for use. After the completion of transport, you can resell those vehicles, you won’t lose money.”

Such a proposal indeed tempted Bai Xiaosheng and Dong Tianlu somewhat.

The sooner they secured cooperation with the transport company, the sooner they could collaborate with the Yang Corporation, and thus the sooner they could profit; any delay would mean a loss.

The two walked aside for a discussion, sent messages to consult others, and finally reached a decision.

Bai Xiaosheng came back and gently said to Mr. Maiwen, ”We can follow Mr. Maiwen’s suggestion to purchase that batch of second-hand transport vehicles first.”

Mr. Maiwen was instantly delighted at these words, but immediately showed a hint of embarrassment.

Bai Xiaosheng had noticed him being evasive earlier, immediately said, ”Mr. Maiwen, if there’s anything else, please feel free to say it.”

Mr. Maiwen, appearing somewhat awkward, grinned and said to Bai Xiaosheng, ”I forgot to mention, we can provide a ship to transport your products, but one of them... is also sealed for sale.”

”Otherwise, would you... consider buying a ship as well?”
