Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2194: Chapter 1673: The Two Filled with Reluctance

Actually, Bai Xiaosheng was also eager to meet the person who had pushed the Taylor Clan into such a position, the person in charge of the Zhenbei Group’s subsidiary.

Bai Xiaosheng had mentioned this idea to Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying last night.

Lin Weiwei thought it would be better for Bai Xiaosheng not to show up, as his appearance might be interpreted as purposely targeting and antagonizing the opponent. Such a move could escalate tensions with Caroline and potentially make the conflict between the two sides spiral out of control!

However, Lei Ying felt that since the matter could not be concealed, it didn’t matter if Bai Xiaosheng went to meet the other side.

In this regard, Bai Xiaosheng agreed with Lei Ying’s perspective.

His involvement was something Caroline would eventually become aware of. Rather than seeming sneaky by acting behind the scenes, it would be better to openly lay things on the table.

From a moral standpoint, the way the group’s company had schemed against the Taylor Clan was indeed dishonorable.

As the second-in-command of the headquarters’ oversight department, Bai Xiaosheng had the authority to intervene.

Even outside of official duties, the Taylor Clan had the right to choose their partners.

If Caroline truly wanted to collaborate with him, she couldn’t hold a grudge over this incident. If she were to terminate their cooperation because of this, going as far as to confront him forcefully, Bai Xiaosheng would have nothing to say.

At worst, they would respond accordingly to whatever came their way, facing each challenge as it appeared.

He could even swiftly take action using his oversight authority; Bai Xiaosheng was not afraid.

After such an analysis, Lin Weiwei also felt that it was best to meet the opposition openly and with integrity!

Bai Xiaosheng had long since unified their understanding, so when Taylor suggested it, Bai Xiaosheng decisively stated he planned to attend.

With Bai Xiaosheng stepping forward, it undoubtedly made their side more secure, so Taylor was naturally pleased.

After the lunch, Bai Xiaosheng spent another two to three hours discussing the new company’s matters with Taylor, finalizing many issues before taking his leave.

This time, Xiya personally drove them back.

On the way, Bai Xiaosheng discussed various aspects of the new company’s establishment and development with Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying.

The company’s office location, factory site selection, equipment procurement, and various application procedures were all to be handled by Taylor’s side, with only coordination and verification needed from their end.

These tasks would be divided among Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying.

As for the factory’s infrastructure renovation, Bai Xiaosheng would assign Huaxia Company to take care of it.

In terms of construction speed and quality, no one could match Huaxia companies. However, it was not appropriate for the group’s Greater China Region companies to be involved; Bai Xiaosheng decided to have Dong Tianlu from Beifeng Holdings send a company to do it...

After discussing various topics, Bai Xiaosheng decided to personally handle one particular matter, which was naming the new company.

Bai Xiaosheng had always been ”bothered” by this, keeping his feelings to himself.

In the past, names like Zunbai Zhisheng, Shengsheng International, and Feisheng Biotechnology Pharmaceuticals all seemed like terrible names; they only felt right when connected to himself, as those people liked to say.

This time, Bai Xiaosheng made a firm decision to come up with a name himself.

Of course, he hadn’t thought of it yet.

Since Xiya was driving and there were no outsiders, whatever Bai Xiaosheng and the others talked about wasn’t classified, and they didn’t shy away from including her, even actively engaging with her.

They chatted for two hours straight, and their car entered the Ganande Outer Ring Expressway.

The road was empty, with few cars around, allowing Xiya to delve deeper into their conversation, focusing solely on the lively chat with Bai Xiaosheng and the others.

In a moment of inattention, they were about to drive straight through an intersection when in fact they should have turned.

Realizing this, Xiya instinctively swerved the steering wheel to correct the ”mistake.”

With adequate driving skills, the car drifted through the junction, but it was indeed a bit rushed, and a car speeding from behind nearly collided with them.

A screeching brake sound pierced the air, as if needles were pricking their eardrums.

Xiya broke out in a cold sweat, exclaiming anxiously while slowing down, ”Is the car behind okay? I—I didn’t mean to do it!”

Bai Xiaosheng and his group looked back.

Thankfully, it was the outer ring highway, with light traffic and no cars tailing closely behind; otherwise, the abrupt stop by the trailing car could have caused a chain-reaction crash.

”It’s not all your fault; we really shouldn’t have been chatting with you, the driver,” Bai Xiaosheng expressed self-reproachfully.

The entire drive was so engrossing that they truly lost track of themselves.

”We can’t stop here; let’s pull over a bit further down the road and apologize,” Xiya suggested, unable to resist.

Even though a mistake was made, no harm was done, but wanting to apologize showed good manners on Xiya’s part.

Bai Xiaosheng nodded, ”That sounds good; after all, we made the mistake.”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying nodded in agreement too.

However, before Bai Xiaosheng finished speaking, they heard the sound of roaring air from behind.

The car behind them had accelerated and caught up.

”It’s not going to hit us, is it?” Lin Weiwei glanced at the rearview mirror, exclaiming in astonishment.

Xiya also jumped at the words.

However, it was clear that the trailing car hadn’t gone crazy, instead overtaking to get in front of their car.

The next scene, however, was quite startling.

The other car suddenly cut in front without warning, forcing Xiya’s car to swerve.

Startled, Xiya nearly drove off the road to avoid a collision.

Bai Xiaosheng and the others felt as if they were boats being tossed in the waves, bouncing so much they almost flew, quickly holding onto the side handles of the car interior.

”That guy, is he really crazy?!” Xiya couldn’t help but shout, and then, in an aggrieved tone, ”I really didn’t do it on purpose earlier.”
