Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2166: Chapter 1651: Troubles

On the fifth day in Ganande, in the morning. Bai Xiaosheng took a break from his busy schedule. Instead of going to the headquarters, he invited Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying for a coffee.

Along the way, they also talked about the current situation on various fronts.

”Everything is normal back home, all the work is orderly, basically, unless there’s a major incident, Xiaosheng, you can totally be a hands-off manager,” Lin Weiwei reported the phase overview of the Greater China Region and joked with Bai Xiaosheng.

In the early stages of the reform and restructuring of Zhenbei Group’s Greater China Region, Bai Xiaosheng spent a lot of effort and painstakingly built everything up, personally overseeing it all the way.

Now everything ran smoothly, and there were rules to follow.

From grassroots employees to middle management to senior management, all were screened thoroughly, so ninety-nine percent of work did not require Bai Xiaosheng, the top leader, to worry.

For the remaining one percent, Bai Xiaosheng only needed to give it a little attention.

Thus, talents were used to their fullest, and resources were utilized optimally.

Not pushing everything upstairs also greatly improved efficiency and saved resources.

This was what Bai Xiaosheng had always strived for.

He was quite satisfied with this.

”Our seven companies are currently doing extremely well, relying on the European and Asian markets, along with the Wei Family’s market in North America, developing rapidly. They have already drafted plans to use our opportunities gained in South America to enter that market, and they’ll be sent to you soon,” Lei Ying smiled and said.

Currently, each of Bai Xiaosheng’s seven companies was a rising star in their industry, not to be underestimated even by giants in the field.

Just like how Ambray Company in the pharmaceutical field identified Feisheng Biotechnology Pharmaceuticals as their rival in the European pharmaceutical market.

It could be said that with just these seven companies, Bai Xiaosheng could stand shoulder to shoulder with some small family businesses, comparable to Tengyun’s market value two years ago!

This naturally pleased Bai Xiaosheng, as he nodded with a smile.

”Also, Elder Xia suggested pulling Li Haofeng, Zheng Honghu, and Chen Yucheng together to form a group to help you build a coordination team for the Global Business Alliance, balancing all parties and handling information, ensuring our new partners won’t descend into chaos,” Lin Weiwei added.

This showed Elder Xia’s thoughtfulness!

Bai Xiaosheng nodded, ”Elder Xia mentioned it to me!”

This was a good thing, but currently it relied on the framework built around Zhenbei Group’s Greater China Region.

In the future, Bai Xiaosheng hoped that both the Global Business Alliance plan and this management group would be centered around him rather than the group.

It’s not that Bai Xiaosheng was overly self-centered or didn’t want the group to do well.

After all, as the potential heir of Zhenbei Group, how could he not wish for his group’s further success?

But as he delved deeper into headquarters, Bai Xiaosheng increasingly felt that the internal relations of a group were too complicated; many things were too rigid and regimented, potentially exhausting one’s passion. So, Bai Xiaosheng wanted to build something separate.

This also felt like a great accomplishment.

Bai Xiaosheng didn’t know when it started, but he even felt more accomplished with an empire he built with his own hands than the one inherited!

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying finished reporting to Bai Xiaosheng and saw him in thought. Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but ask, ”How long do we need to stay in North America, Xiaosheng? Has Miss Caroline still not mentioned cooperation to you?”

Lei Ying also looked at Bai Xiaosheng, inquiring with his eyes.

Bai Xiaosheng took a sip of his coffee and looked out at Ganande’s street view through the large window of the coffee shop before speaking to them, ”It only takes two or three days to finish the trivial processes at headquarters. I ran into Caroline at headquarters, but she didn’t mention anything about cooperation. However, I believe she’s definitely working on the cooperation framework!”

In a global setting where big businessmen gather for cooperation, Caroline and her family couldn’t be indifferent.

Bai Xiaosheng put down his coffee cup and murmured thoughtfully, ”But working with her might be... a bit troublesome.”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying exchanged a glance.

”Are you worried she’ll take advantage of any unintentional mistakes on our part to demand exorbitant terms under the guise of smoothing relations?” Lei Ying asked.

”If it’s too excessive, we can’t agree. After all, it’s all group business, not our personal one. We have reasons to refuse. Besides, what right does she have to ask for the moon? It was her brother’s fault,” Lin Weiwei muttered.

Bai Xiaosheng shook his head, ”The trouble isn’t just with Caroline.”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying were taken aback by this revelation.

What other trouble could there be?

Bai Xiaosheng sighed and said, ”Yesterday, Wen Yan and I had another talk.”

”He told me that Vice Chairman Morgan has significant influence in North America, both outside and inside the group. Vice Chairman Morgan holds animosity towards our Greater China Region, often voting against us in past decisions. He will surely interfere with this cooperation. Caroline can’t be unaffected...”

Could Vice Chairman Morgan really be so hostile towards them?

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying thought to themselves.

”Vice Chairman Morgan’s obstruction isn’t confined to North American cooperation; it could affect group-external enterprises too,” Bai Xiaosheng said with a frown.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying were speechless.

How much enmity does Vice Chairman Morgan have against the Greater China Region to block them internally and externally? Is he a group Vice Chairman or an external competitor and enemy?

Even outsiders wouldn’t be this ruthless.

”It seems that sometimes insiders act harsher than enemies,” Lin Weiwei even murmured.

Lei Ying glanced at her and truly wanted to praise her.

Clearly perceptive!

Bai Xiaosheng rested his chin in his hand and said in a muffled voice, ”The trouble isn’t just this.”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying immediately looked at him.

”If Vice Chairman Morgan stands against us, then Wen Yan might be opposed to him,” Bai Xiaosheng murmured, ”Wen Yan told me that as the second-in-command of the group’s supervisory department, it’s not an idle position and I must fulfill my duties, which is to investigate issues in subsidiary companies. It’s a bit like we’re back doing affairs officer work.”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying, hearing this, indeed got that feeling.

However, this time their position carried the authority of group headquarters, allowing them to investigate problems in subsidiary companies worldwide!

Moreover, Bai Xiaosheng could hold individuals of the same rank accountable, meaning if there were someone like Landvo again, Bai Xiaosheng could initiate an investigation directly!

This was quite significant!

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying couldn’t figure out why Bai Xiaosheng saw this as trouble.

Bai Xiaosheng glanced at them with a bitter smile, ”Wen Yan suggested that as a new officer, I should metaphorically light three fires to establish my position. You know what that means, right? It means finding and addressing some problematic companies in a short period.”

This wasn’t a mere suggestion; it was more like Wen Yan, as a direct superior, assigning work.

But where should Bai Xiaosheng target these ”three fires”?

The home base had already been reorganized by Bai Xiaosheng.

Europe? Bai Xiaosheng and Soruns were partners with a good relationship, not suitable.

South America? The group companies there had already been turned upside down by Bai Xiaosheng.

Australia? Africa?

Bai Xiaosheng was still planning to establish initial contacts and discuss friendly cooperation.

While Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying were pondering, Bai Xiaosheng directly provided the answer.

”Wen Yan said, since I’m in North America, why not start here!”
