Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2173: Chapter 1656: I’m Definitely Taking Charge of This Matter

Xiya’s words truly shocked Bai Xiaosheng and the others; they never expected that the entity repeatedly targeting the Xiya Family, forcing them to the brink of survival, was actually their own group’s company!

The saying goes well, even a rabbit doesn’t eat the grass around its burrow.

The group headquarters is in Ganande, yet a subsidiary has taken action against its ”neighbor”!

Even if not all of Xiya Family’s business is local to Ganande, their family headquarters is ultimately here. Acting like this really doesn’t make sense.

Xiya sighed deeply and looked at Bai Xiaosheng, saying, ”If we used extreme measures against your group’s subsidiary, causing a huge uproar, it would be tantamount to declaring war on the entire Zhenbei Group!”

With some panic, Xiya added, ”My family couldn’t dare to do such a thing!”

If Zhenbei Group were to get angry, the Xiya Family might not even have a place to stand in Ganande!

Bai Xiaosheng finally understood why the Xiya Family was so ”timid”; even in such dire circumstances, they remained ”restrained” and were unwilling to launch a strong counterattack.

The crux of the issue lies here!

Bai Xiaosheng also understood Xiya’s earlier gaze—why it was filled with expectation and entangled with conflict...

Xiya continued, ”Xiaosheng, I know you’re also part of Zhenbei Group. Before I spoke, I actually considered asking for your help. But, I know that’s too difficult! You’re the head of your group’s Asia division, and even you can’t... reach here, especially being in the workplace, where caution is needed in your actions. Asking you to mediate is a bit too demanding. Moreover, business affairs involve a ’profit’ aspect; to ask the other party to give up a ’profit,’ one must at least offer an equivalent ’profit,’ which our family cannot currently afford, making this another difficult matter. If you intervene, you’ll only bring a lot of trouble upon yourself.”

Xiya’s words were sincere, clearly having abandoned her initial plan.

This girl was ultimately too kind. Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but feel heartwarming.

Bai Xiaosheng also felt quite moved by Xiya’s honesty.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying looked at Bai Xiaosheng.

Xiya only knew part of the story; Bai Xiaosheng was no longer just the Greater China Region’s Executive President; now he had the capability to handle this matter.

However, Xiya’s thinking wasn’t entirely wrong.

Intervening in this matter would only harm Bai Xiaosheng without any benefit!

Caroline might not be involved directly, but ultimately, the company in question is hers to manage.

Currently, Bai Xiaosheng’s relationship with Caroline is ”delicate” as they are negotiating a collaboration.

If Bai Xiaosheng were to act against her subordinate company now, it would undoubtedly worsen the conflict between them.

A failed collaboration would be the least of it; if it provoked intense opposition from Caroline, the losses would be too great.

Furthermore, even if that group company had acted excessively, from a profit perspective, it benefited the group. Legally speaking, they haven’t been deemed unlawful.

If Bai Xiaosheng intervened to stop it, wouldn’t he be opposing the group’s interests?

The senior management, including Vice Chairman Morgan, might... use this as an opportunity!

Then Bai Xiaosheng would find himself in bigger trouble at the group’s headquarters...

Emotionally and rationally, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying felt the company targeting the Xiya Family was excessive. They both wanted Bai Xiaosheng to help Xiya while deeply worrying about Bai Xiaosheng’s own situation.

Despite their complex feelings, they knew, given Bai Xiaosheng’s character, he would never stand idly by!

True enough.

Bai Xiaosheng earnestly said to Xiya, ”Xiya, I’ll definitely help you with this matter!”

Even if it brings trouble to himself, even if it angers Caroline.

What Bai Xiaosheng can’t tolerate, and if he thinks something is wrong, he’ll inevitably intervene!

This is his current duty, and it’s also his future obligation to inherit the entire group!

Bai Xiaosheng’s words made Xiya feel joyful, moved, and worried—mixed emotions indeed.

”Xiaosheng, actually, you don’t need to...” Xiya opened her mouth to say half a sentence but couldn’t continue.

Seeing Bai Xiaosheng so devoted to his friends made her extremely touched.

Seeing the situation, Bai Xiaosheng comforted her, ”I won’t intervene just because you’re my friend. They have crossed the line, and this is for the group’s consideration too. Business also has its principles that must have a baseline. I can’t let them tarnish the group’s reputation.”

Upon hearing Bai Xiaosheng’s official statement, Xiya thought he was being polite and felt even more moved.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled, ”You really don’t need to feel you owe me anything. I’ll go home with you now, talk more with Mr. Taylor, and see how best to resolve this issue!”

Even though Bai Xiaosheng made every effort to show he wasn’t helping out of personal feelings, Xiya was still filled with gratitude.

Xiya immediately and resolutely instructed Bai Xiaosheng, ”Xiaosheng, you have to promise me that if you’re going to help my family, it must be without implicating yourself, otherwise, I won’t agree!”

Facing such a stubborn girl, Bai Xiaosheng smiled, ”Don’t worry, I’m fine. I just need to understand more of the details, and ideally, sit down and talk with your father. Actually, there are other ways to resolve this matter. For example, injecting massive capital into your family sufficient to tide over all troubles. I do know many large investment firms and have connections.”

”Regardless of whether it’s money or other means, I must take charge of this matter!” Bai Xiaosheng emphasized repeatedly.

This also served to reassure Xiya.

Xiya was deeply moved, and though she had countless words in her heart, what came to her lips were just two words, ”Thank you...”

”It’s expected, no need to thank me.” Bai Xiaosheng smiled.

His ”expected” line was both a sincere affirmation of friendship and in line with his new responsibilities.

But Xiya wasn’t aware of these meanings; she only thought Bai Xiaosheng was taking considerable risks to help, which made her even more touched.

Xiya nodded firmly upon hearing this.

Every word of this man seemed to carry a magical power that made others feel remarkably reassured upon hearing them.

While speaking, the vehicle they were in had already slowed down and finally stopped.

The Xiya Family home had arrived.

”This is my home, come on, folks, let’s get off,” Xiya collected her emotions, smiled at Bai Xiaosheng and the others, and got out of the car first.

Bai Xiaosheng and the other two followed her out of the car.

The entrance to the estate was quite beautiful and imposing; beyond it were expansive gardens and vegetation, with a cluster of villa buildings faintly visible in the distance.

This was Xiya’s home.

Bai Xiaosheng and his companions were accustomed to larger and grander estates and castles; hence they didn’t feel anything too special about this place.

As Xiya appeared, the servants at the entrance approached, respectfully greeted them, and the leader promptly arranged for a vehicle to take them there.

After all, the entrance was a substantial distance from the villa cluster, and walking would likely exhaust them.

The group changed vehicles and headed inside.

Along the way, the Xiya Family’s servants paused, bowing slightly and respectfully watching their car pass by.

For a family facing turmoil, achieving such stability was truly commendable!

Bai Xiaosheng nodded with approval.

It showed that Xiya’s father, the clan leader, had undeniable prestige and deeply held the loyalty of the people.

Before long, Bai Xiaosheng and his companions arrived at the villa cluster, and Xiya led them to disembark and head towards the central building.

”My father is at home today, but he’s likely discussing business with his uncles at the moment,” Xiya said.

Mentioning this, Xiya’s expression turned somewhat gloomy, ”Due to these continuous issues, they have become displeased with my father as the clan leader.”

Upon hearing this, Bai Xiaosheng nodded.

It seemed the Xiya Family faced not only external troubles but also internal issues.

At times when crises occur, the first to fall apart is often internal.

The current situation in the Xiya Family seemed to confirm this point.

Regarding this, Bai Xiaosheng was hesitant to comment.

After all, this was someone else’s family affair, and it’s better to remain cautious with one’s words in their home.

Of course, Bai Xiaosheng had great respect for Mr. Taylor, the clan leader.

Just as Xiya was leading Bai Xiaosheng and the others into the hall, suddenly a group of people burst out from inside. These young men and women, regardless of their attire or demeanor, were not ordinary; they seemed to be young members of the family, of the same generation as Xiya.

The leader of the group was talking as they walked.

”Right now, troubles are increasing, and our family is getting more difficult. Besides all of us needing to be united and stay closely aligned with me to maintain stability, I still believe that Clan Leader Taylor should resign and give the clan leadership to my father! Wouldn’t you agree?”
