Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2178: Chapter 1661: An Unbelievable Request

Bai Xiaosheng walked into Xiya’s father’s office—Taylor’s office. The furnishings were not as luxurious as imagined, but they looked comfortable.

After Bai Xiaosheng entered, a middle-aged man sitting inside stood up and walked over with a smile.

Although he had a Western appearance, he exuded a certain Eastern sage-like charm. By today’s standards, he belonged to the handsome uncle category—-a man with great appeal.

”You must be Mr. Bai Xiaosheng.” Clan Leader Taylor smiled and proactively extended his hand, his tone extremely courteous.

The Xiya Family is facing an unprecedented crisis, and Clan Leader Taylor has just been ”forced” by his own people. Saying things weren’t going well and he was overwhelmed wouldn’t be an exaggeration. However, Bai Xiaosheng did not see any anxiety or agitation on his face, only composure.

Just based on Taylor’s current mountain-like calm aura, one couldn’t help but admire him.

”Hello, Clan Leader Taylor!” Bai Xiaosheng smiled and shook hands with Taylor.

Taylor had been sizing up Bai Xiaosheng ever since he walked over.

This young man, according to his daughter, was the one who could help their family. His identity was also surprising—

Executive President of Zhenbei Group’s Greater China Region!

To be honest, before actually meeting Bai Xiaosheng, Taylor was still a bit skeptical. On one hand, his daughter wouldn’t lie to him; on the other hand, a young man of similar age to his daughter holding such a high position was unimaginable! Even compared to Miss Caroline, he was only slightly lesser! Simply incredible!

Now, Taylor just made a polite greeting with Bai Xiaosheng and found Bai Xiaosheng’s deep eyes, restrained aura, and presence so imposing that it made him feel subconsciously oppressed.

In almost an instant, Taylor acknowledged Bai Xiaosheng’s identity.

People like them, who hold leadership positions in large groups, can often affect the prospects and fate of many with a single decision. They typically have an innate sense of similar or higher-level beings.

However, Taylor only learned about Bai Xiaosheng’s identity from his daughter, Xiya. Plus, Bai Xiaosheng currently holds the position of Executive President of Zhenbei Group’s Greater China Region, which is quite misleading.

Taylor did not know that the young man before him was not just slightly lesser than Caroline.

He was actually on par with Caroline!

Moreover, Bai Xiaosheng, due to his concurrent position as the second-in-command of the Zhenbei Group’s headquarters supervisory department, had a functional aspect that even surpassed Caroline!

Of course, even if he only considered Bai Xiaosheng as the Executive President of Zhenbei Group’s Greater China Region, Taylor was still amazed and delighted.

This was certainly a person capable of helping the family!

If Bai Xiaosheng stepped in, the family’s predicament would be solved smoothly!

”Mr. Bai, please!” Taylor welcomed Bai Xiaosheng over to the sofa with the posture reserved for the most distinguished guests.

”Clan Leader Taylor, please!” Bai Xiaosheng also smiled and walked over with Clan Leader Taylor.

This Mr. Taylor is truly an extremely clever person!

Communicating with such a smart person is indeed trouble-free.

Bai Xiaosheng glanced at Taylor and silently noted.

This was something Bai Xiaosheng had anticipated earlier, after all, someone who becomes the leader of a distinguished family like the Xiya Family, must have good vision, insight, and ability!

Such a character is extremely difficult to deal with in the business arena.

The Zhenbei Group enterprise that trapped the Xiya Family didn’t succeed easily; it was meticulously laid out over a long period with multiple enterprises collaborating step by step to trap them in a quagmire, then delivered a decisive blow utilizing Xiya’s uncle, White, hitting their vital point.

However, even with such measures, thoroughly crippling the Xiya Family would still require a very long time and great cost.

During this process, if there is any opportunity, they might turn the tables!

This is the conclusion Bai Xiaosheng derived from comprehensive analysis of the situation.

If not, Clan Leader Taylor wouldn’t be so composed.

Unfortunately, too few people understand his way of operating.

The foolish members of the Xiya Family even wanted to overthrow him, truly foolish!

Clan Leader Taylor invited Bai Xiaosheng to sit on the sofa and personally brewed tea for him.

”Mr. Taylor, you’re too kind.” Bai Xiaosheng accepted the teacup with both hands, smiling humbly, ”Xiya and I are friends, from that perspective, I am considered your junior, not worthy of such treatment.”

Taylor’s smile was sincere, ”I heard from Xiya that Mr. Bai is here to help our family through the crisis. So Mr. Bai is my family’s benefactor; no matter how courteous I am, it can hardly express even a fraction of my gratitude!”

In the end, both of them exchanged a smile and sat across from each other.

”Mr. Bai, it is admirable that you’ve secured a realm of your own at such a young age in the Zhenbei Group!” Taylor mentioned Bai’s identity and couldn’t help but sigh.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled without correcting his job status change, ”Mr. Taylor, you overpraise.”

Taylor continued, ”This time, there’s been some friction between our family and companies under your Group; I would appreciate your mediation, Mr. Bai.”

Taylor sincerely said, ”Afterward, our family will never forget the kindness. Right now, I have an idea to give Mr. Bai 15% of the business shares in our family! How does that sound!”

There’s no free lunch in this world; if someone rescues you from dire straits, proper compensation is warranted!

Taylor is a businessman and naturally understands this logic.

Moreover, if Bai Xiaosheng held shares in their family business, imagine the enterprises under Zhenbei Group still targeting them in the future.

Taylor also had this intention.

Bai Xiaosheng remained unmoved, neither agreeing nor refusing.

Taylor noticed, smiled, and continued, ”If Mr. Bai is not satisfied, we can certainly negotiate.”

”Additionally, we won’t make it difficult for Mr. Bai. Our contract with the Zhenbei Group company won’t be entirely canceled but will retain most of its effective content. Even if it means cutting losses and not profiting for three years, it’s fine.”

Opening up the conditions to this extent was truly sincere.

Apparently, Taylor only seeks for the family to escape the whirlpool of trouble, and to be content with a few years of rest and recuperation afterward.

Bai Xiaosheng held the tea, watching the leaves floating in the water and the steam rising from the rim.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled.

”Clan Leader Taylor, you’ve offered me such generous compensation. Would your family agree?” Bai Xiaosheng asked with a smile without raising his head, ”I heard that those in your family holding major positions... if I may speak frankly, came to ’force the palace’ earlier!”

Bai Xiaosheng revealed the situation in a single statement.

Taylor’s expression suddenly tensed, his eyes showing a trace of fatigue, which quickly dissipated.

Taylor smiled at Bai Xiaosheng and said, ”I do not hide this from you.”

”Indeed, they think my style is too soft and flexible, which is due to my character; I have nothing to say.”

Taylor continued, ”Regarding your compensation, Mr. Bai, please rest assured, no one will be an obstacle! You are the benefactor of our family; they must acknowledge this! If necessary, I’ll relinquish my position as Clan Leader to gain their acquiescence.”

Taylor, smiling as he said these words, even offering to step down as Clan Leader to ensure Bai Xiaosheng’s benefits, was truly sincere!

Bai Xiaosheng lifted his head, looking at Taylor’s face, smiled, and said, ”Clan Leader Taylor, can you really sacrifice so much to save your family?”

Even the coveted position of Clan Leader, would you relinquish it without hesitation?!

Taylor looked directly at Bai Xiaosheng, without flinching, ”Naturally!”

”If I say I purely want to help Xiya without any compensation, I doubt you and your family would feel assured,” Bai Xiaosheng calmly said, ”We are businessmen, speaking business is the simplest; profit is always the greatest motivation.”

Taylor also agreed with this statement, nodding slightly.

”Then let me propose a precondition for helping you,” Bai Xiaosheng said with a smile.

”Please do!” Taylor’s eyes gleamed.

He was not afraid of Bai Xiaosheng discussing compensation; he was afraid Bai Xiaosheng wouldn’t say anything.

In this world, debt in the form of favors is the hardest to repay; better not to owe it.

Bai Xiaosheng looked into Taylor’s eyes, smiled, and said, ”If I help your family out of the quagmire, Mr. Taylor, I want you—”

”To step down as Clan Leader!”

Taylor, focused and listening intently, was deeply shocked by Bai Xiaosheng’s last sentence, staring at Bai Xiaosheng in disbelief.

What kind of demand is this!
