Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

”Director Walsh, Mr. Lowell is on his way. He said he wants to discuss this with you personally.”

”Have you notified Tommy? He’s the producer. This isn’t something I can decide on my own.”

”We have. Tommy will be here in half an hour.”

Ten minutes later, a car pulled over to the side of the road, and an elderly man with white hair, who looked to be in his sixties or seventies, got out.

The elderly man looked very kind, approachable, and wise.

He was Jonah Lowell, the man in charge of designing and constructing the Solara Palace for this project.

A suitable plot of land in Jansburg had been specially selected for the construction of the Solara Palace.

The money for all this was invested by Evan Fairchild. Once the entire Solara Palace was built, it might even become a tourist attraction in the future, with ownership remaining in Evan Fairchild’s hands.

That was why, no matter how angry Director Walsh got, he didn’t dare make the final call himself. He could only ask Tommy to come and discuss it with them to see if they should really wait for the Solara Palace to be completed.

With so much manpower and money spent, even a skyscraper dozens of stories high would have been finished by now! Yet this structure, meant for filming, was taking even longer.

For those who didn’t understand, it was truly incomprehensible.

Not long after Jonah Lowell arrived, Tommy rushed over as well.

The group gathered in the conference room.

Jonah Lowell took out the materials he had brought with him: documents he had compiled over a lifetime of researching Solaran architecture, along with the architectural blueprints for the Solara Palace.

”Mr. Lowell, we’re shooting a movie, not restoring the old Solaran Imperial Palace. The construction period we gave you is already over, and now you want to delay it again and again. Just get the scenes we absolutely need ready. For the rest, you can give us the blueprints, and we’ll use special effects to composite them.” Director Walsh had no interest in looking at those things; he only cared about whether they could start filming according to the original plan.

Once delayed, the coordination between all the different departments would be disrupted. Then there were the celebrities’ schedules to consider. This was no joke.

”Director Walsh, I am terribly sorry, but we’ve been building the Solara Palace for so long now. It would be a huge shame to give up at this stage. I hope you can give us a little more time. While I may not understand filming or post-production, I dare say that a real, physical set will produce an effect a thousand times better than a green screen.”

”This is a historical costume drama. That’s precisely why you sought me out—to achieve the most perfect result possible. Since that’s the case, could you please give me a little more time? I promise I will finish the rest of the work at the fastest possible speed,” Jonah Lowell requested with utmost sincerity.

His voice was gentle, capable of soothing people’s hearts and making them calm down and listen to what he had to say.

”How much longer do you need?” Tommy asked.

”About a month.”

”Another month?” Director Walsh’s voice rose several notches.

”How about this. I can’t give you an answer right now; I need to ask for instructions. You just need to tell me: if we give you another month, are you certain you can finish the work and hand it over for us to use?”

”Yes.”

”Alright.” Tommy nodded and walked outside.

Melody Monroe was still in the break room, waiting for the result of the discussion, when her phone suddenly rang.

”Ma’am, the Solara Palace isn’t finished yet, which will affect the start date of filming. They need another month. Should we wait another month?” Tommy’s voice came through the phone.

Melody Monroe was taken aback.

’This is such a huge deal. Why is Tommy asking me for instructions? Shouldn’t he be calling Evan Fairchild?’

’A whole month’s delay! It’s not a problem for me personally, but what about the other actors?’
