Emperor’s Domination

Li Qiye appeared again at the base of an inconspicuous peak - Silence. It had another lake of the nine nearby, extremely peaceful without a single wave or ripple. The whole thing seemed to be condensed like a piece of aquamarine.

Powerful existences could see how it led all the way underground, connecting with the other lakes. Of course, this was beyond the comprehension of even primal ancestors.

“To the limit, I see.” Li Qiye said after gazing at the lake and the peak.

There was not a single blade of grass growing on this peak. It gave the feeling of silence, different from a deathly stillness - like a woman sitting here for eras without uttering a single word. She merely sat there like a statue, imposing this silence on all visitors including primal ancestors. Their supreme grand dao would be shut down so they didn’t want to visit.

With a panoramic view, one would see Desolate Immortal Peak being the center and Silence Peak being the starting point of a full circle. Another way to look at it was viewing the immortal peak as a slender neck, the area as a necklace, and Silence Peak being the pendant.

Silence Peak served to protect the immortal peak, preventing others from getting inside.

“The limit of the dao yet wordless, how lonely.” Li Qiye lay on the ground and stared at the sky.

He let out a sigh and said: “This is unnecessary, a bit more joy and laughter. Even a dao transformation can have room for happiness.”

A gentle breeze blew by, seemingly answering him.

“Good, good.” Li Qiye smiled and patted the ground: “I should help you plant flowers and grasses. The dead can still be adorned with trinkets. You didn’t laugh heartily when alive but at the very least, this place will be full of fresh flowers.”

After a long silence, a breeze came and caressed his hair.

“You’ve done plenty for the girl, so these flowers are to bring you out of your silent world. We all only have one life, so there is no need to insist on this lonely silence. Let’s not waste it.” Li Qiye said.

The breeze hesitated this time and blew slowly, seemingly laying down next to him.

She has been alone for eras in this silent world until now. Li Qiye’s arrival brought a sliver of light to her world, a recognition of her contribution.

She had gone very far with this dao, delving into the most profound part. The more she traveled, the lonelier she became, eventually losing all sounds. Nevertheless, she gained a new friend in his light - one capable of penetrating this area.

The breeze wrapped around him like a soft blanket, aiding him in a peaceful nap.

After a long while, he finally woke up and stretched with a smile: “Time to go take a look.”

He took one step and teleported to the immortal peak. It didn’t stand out among the others in terms of size.

However, it served as the core of Desolate Frontier. Some believed all powers from this region originated from it.

This might not be the case but the dense worldly energy here was unimaginable. Any cultivator visiting would sense a unique dao rhythm here. Not even a supreme overlord could follow its tempo.

Therefore, those aware called it immortal power. They believed Desolate Ancestor left behind this power as the foundation for Desolate Frontier.

Only two things were seen on this peak - Desolate Hall and Founder Tablet.

The hall was said to be her abode after the immortal ascension. It became deserted after her departure years later.

Rumor has it that inside the hall was an immortal-level item left behind by her. Some spoke of an immortal source as well - the origin of the cultivation path. She derived it into physical form and left it here.

However, no one could verify either because the palace had been closed all this time. As for the tablet, it was erected at the entrance for visitors to see.

It was also known as Desolate Tablet, instilling awe into all spectators due to its magnificent size. The whole slab looked natural with engravings of Desolate Scripture.

At the start, she created the paths and spread the methods to the world. After becoming an immortal, she rewrote them into this scripture.

Of course, few disciples could visit the immortal peak, so the sect only had access to copies.
