Emperor’s Domination

“Is it possible? How long would it take to get to the one-hundredth generation?” Orchidcore wondered.

Currently, Tenth-gen Chen was considered nearly as strong as Everlasting Jiang and definitely on the same level as North Kun God.

First-gen Chen was rumored to be Desolate Ancestor’s senior. This could no longer be verified. However, this meant ten generations of legacies took an immensely long period.

The Chen prospered during this process, having numerous descendants in Desolate Frontier. They naturally had many branches outside as well.

In Centurial Peak alone, the direct descendants numbered in the tens of thousands. [1]

This became their main base and after eras of growth, the Chen had a kingdom here. Some believed Myriad Peaks Domain was the most populous, Centurial Peak was the second with just members of the Chen. The disciples here were under the rule of their clan, not elders and ancestors like other peaks.

The passing of legacy was known throughout Three Immortals. Ten generations created someone at the return stage. What about one hundred generations?

Mu Hu couldn’t answer this question; no one in Desolate Frontier could.

“I have no idea. It might be possible.” Mu Hu smiled wryly, unable to express his true thoughts given his status.

“It’s just a fantasy.” Li Qiye smiled and shook his head.

“What makes you say that, Young Noble?” Mu Hu asked.

“If this method works, then there would be immortals everywhere. Accumulating continuously, even an ant can become immortal.” Li Qiye said.

“True…” The group exchanged glances.

“Wealth can’t be passed down forever, the same should be true for cultivation.” Monk Zhu said.

“Your Lankavatara Temple has been around long enough, preaching about cycles of reincarnation and accumulation of Buddhist affinity. Is there an immortal monk yet?” Li Qiye said with a smile.

Monk Zhu placed his palms together and lowered his red face: “What you say is true, Young Noble.”

Lankavatara Temple’s origin could no longer be traced. It might be older than anything in Old World and could store Buddhist affinity in its territory. Alas, it had never produced an immortal before, not to mention it seemed weaker now compared to its golden age.

“Instead of worrying about this legacy passing thing, think about something more realistic.” Li Qiye said.

“Please elaborate, Young Noble.” Mu Hu said.

“A behemoth such as Desolate Frontier requires a leader. Otherwise, it would fall from internal chaos soon enough, no need for foreign enemies.” Li Qiye said.

This ominous assessment shook the youths.

“Who is in charge right now?” Princess Chen asked Mu Hu.

“Well, normally, everyone has their esponsibilities, the ancestors.” Mu Hu said.

“Who makes the final decision?” Li Qiye asked.

“Ancestor Jiang…” Mu Hu responded, realizing the key problem.

“Who is the successor?” Princess Chen asked softly.

“I don’t know, it’s not something a disciple such as myself is privy to.” Mu Hu said: “Perhaps Ancestor North Kun or Ancestor Tenth-gen.”

His grandmaster, an emperor, had no influence over the next leader, let alone him.

“Will there be a conflict?” Orchidcore came from a great clan and knew of the risks.

“No, definitely not. Our progenitor is still alive.” Mu Hu said.

The youths didn’t dare to comment recklessly and risk disrespecting Desolate Frontier. Moreover, Mu Hu made a great point. The internal struggle should be contained since Desolate Ancestor was still alive.

She could return and punish those who stepped out of line. Therefore, everyone would certainly act with prudence.

“You have more than just twelve main mountains.” Li Qiye suddenly remarked.

“More than twelve?” All eyes were on Mu Hu.

“Well.” Mu Hu couldn’t take their penetrating gaze and answered honestly: “I have no idea.”

“No idea? Are you really a disciple of Desolate Frontier?” Princess Chen complained.

“I don’t think anyone knows, this is mere speculation.” Mu Hu said.

“Speculation?” Orchidcore asked.

“Yes, the existence of the thirteenth mountain range.” Mu Hu said.

“This is news to me.” Princess Chen said.

“It is a legend here.” Mu Hu responded.

“It is hidden.” Li Qiye said.

“You know where it is, Young Noble?” Mu Hu became emotional but Li Qiye only smiled.

Princess Chen elbowed Mu Hu and asked: “What else do you know about this thirteenth mountain?”

“Not much, I don’t even know if the legend is true. Perhaps not even Ancestor Jiang knows.” Mu Hu replied.
