Emperor’s Domination

“Then who is your master? You can’t play dumb with this question.” Princess Chen insisted.

“My master is Huntblade Desolate God.” Mu Hu bowed and said, not daring to lie about this question.

“Huntblade Desolate God.” The group heard of him before.

“Amitabha, a nine-fruit desolate god. I see, so you’re his capable disciple. We were too blind to see.” Monk Zhu said.

Mu Hu scratched his head and said: “I have let down my master with my meager cultivation, unable to learn anything substantial unlike you, a master of Buddhism.”

“Are you two hiding something from us?” Princess Chen stared at the two.

“Of course not.” They waved their hands in response.

“Huntblade Desolate God used to be an actual hunter, right? He came across Crimson Virtue Emperor by chance and was taken in as a disciple due to his talent.” Orchidcore said.

“Yes, that is correct.” Mu Hu said: “My master was a skilled hunter, especially with his hunting knife.”

“I never saw you use a hunting knife before.” Princess Chen stared at his waist.

“Ah, well, you’ve never used Heaven Suppression Fist before either.” Mu Hu laughed in response.

“I’m the only honest one here.” Orchidcore happily joked.

“Crimson Virtue Emperor is from Serene Court, right?” Monk Zhu asked. [1]

“Then you’re a great-great grand disciple of Desolate Ancestor...” Princess Chen became startled after thinking about seniority.

“Of course not, of course not.” Mu Hu became startled and waved his hands repeatedly: “Please don’t connect me with the great ancestor, I am too ashamed of my meager skills.”

His strong reaction amused the others. Nevertheless, there was truth in it.

Although considered an exceptional genius, he didn’t live up to being her great-great grand disciple.

“Who doesn’t know Crimson Virtue Emperor is a direct disciple of Serene Court and the only one while Serene Court is Desolate Ancestor’s first disciple’s branch. The connection is proper.” Princess Chen said.

“Yes, Patriarch Xianting passed away early and only had one disciple, my grandmaster.” Mu Hu admitted.

Due to Xianting’s untimely death, he only had one disciple - Crimson Virtue Emperor.

As a member of Desolate Ancestor’s main branch, he should have had a smooth road. Unfortunately, he had to learn himself without his master’s guidance. Nevertheless, he still became an emperor able to see the origination.

“I heard there are two primary factions in Desolate Frontier, your branch and Tenth-gen Chen’s branch, is this true?” Princess Chen asked. [ref] Tenth-gen Chen used to be Chen Shishi, changing after more context[ref]

“Hahaha, I never heard of this before.” Mu Hu shook his head.

“Please, outsiders know about it but you, the grand-disciple of Crimson Virtue Emperor, don’t know?” Princess Chen glared angrily.

“It’s no secret.” Orchidcore nodded: “Tenth-gen Chen’s branch is even older than Desolate Ancestor’s branch, or so they say.”

“Sure, but not too long.” Mu Hu stopped playing dumb and said: “Their founder, First-gen Chen, is one seniority higher than our Desolate Ancestor.”

“First-gen Chen and Desolate Ancestor came from the same sect, right? Before it became Desolate Frontier due to her success. She was one of seven main disciples then.” Princess Chen said.

“That’s a long time ago, I don’t know much about it.” Mu Hu said softly.

“I don’t think there are records of it now. The seven, only her branch is left now?” Monk Zhu said.

“I’m unsure, I believe some joined First-gen’s branch.” Mu Hu said.

“They were taken over, it’s no secret either. From the first to the tenth generation, it’s no ordinary branch.” Princess Chen.

“Why is it called Tenth-gen now?” Li Qiye asked.

Mu Hu always acted properly when answering Li Qiye: “It pertains to Ancestor First-gen’s branch or legacy. He created a unique dao capable of passing his cultivation and fortunes to the next. They can keep cultivating and do the same for the next generation. It’s the tenth generation now.”

Li Qiye’s brows furrowed upon hearing this.

“One generation after another, just keeps on becoming stronger and stronger.” Orchidcore said.

“Obviously, my ancestor told me Tenth-gen Chen will catch up to Everlasting Jiang soon.” Princess Chen said.

“I heard of this as well.” Mu Hu said.

“This transfer art cannot compare to a pioneer such as Jiang Ba. Each transfer requires a heavy price and resources.” Li Qiye said.

“Then I was right, ancestor mentioned this branch taking over the other seven, maybe it will try to seize your Desolate Ancestor’s branch too.” Princess Chen never held back.

“I, I don’t think so.” Mu Hu smiled wryly, not in the position to talk about internal matters or the ancestors.

At this time, the group made it to Desolate Domain. Mu Hu bowed toward Li Qiye and said: “Young Noble, let me report your arrival so the ancestors can properly greet you.”

The group shuddered because they nearly forgot about one thing - the girl addressing Li Qiye as “ancestor”. This meant the other ancestors needed to come and greet him.

“No need for unnecessary convention.” Li Qiye waved his hand.

Mu Hu didn’t dare to disobey and took them into Desolate Domain. While standing at the main entrance, they had a perfect view of the area.

This felt like the paradise of immortals. Peaks were covered by a special energy and clouds. Hymns could be heard as well.

They couldn’t see the end, only mountain ranges and valleys looking like dragons. The spirit energy here was thicker than anywhere else in the world.

The youths became emotional and felt insignificant before its grandeur.
