I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2081 - 24.342 Sixth Violet Star - Why have you come?

Though the words of Zhi Yang and Zhi Yue seem cold and ruthless, this is an undeniable truth. Compared to the lives of Heri and Vega, the lives of Mo Minkong and Huzi can affect this world more. Moreover, it is not like the lives of Heri and Vega were currently in danger. There are still two dragons and two wardens keeping them safe. Anyway, they couldnʼt die as their souls were connected to their masters and they could be revived as long as their masters willed it.

It took a while for the beastmen leader to calm down. The words of the two systems about him dragging his sons down made him fear that situation more. He didnʼt want his children to be in danger because of him and he also didnʼt want to lose his brother who finally came back to his side. Frustrated for being powerless, Lord Huzi turned silent at the corner.

Seeing this Zhi Yue felt a bit guilty while Zhi Yang remained calm. Compared to the well being of their masters, mortals were nothing in his eyes. If not for the fact that the God of Destruction cares for them too much, he wouldnʼt waste his time on reprimanding them about the truth.

As for the Beast God, Mo Minkong, he didnʼt feel offended by the words of the two systems. As a chaos creature, his loyalty had always been only towards the chaos children and not this world. If not for his mate being a part of this world he would have this place and go to the upper realm to report to the Mo Clan.

Mo Minkong hugged his mate and comforted him, ”Donʼt worry. Nothing will happen to your brother. He is well protected there. Have you forgotten about the blessing? With that blessing it is almost impossible for them to die.”

It was only at this moment that Lord Huzi recalled about the Blessing of Immortality given by the God of Destruction to their family. It was due to this blessing that most members of the royal family save a part of their body whether itʼs a nail or hair somewhere safe. So even if their current body perishes they will still be able to revive through this part which they had left behind.

Only when Lord Huzi realized this did he calm down. Though at first he didnʼt know why his youngest son had told him to make amulets using their whole familyʼs hair before. Now knowing the effects of the blessing of immortality from the hidden guards that he knew that it was another way to survive. Knowing this he always keeps that amulet made from his whole familyʼs hair safe and always with him.

”I understand. I panic for a moment. They will be alright,” said the Beastmen Leader, Lord Huzi, as he held on to the family amulet that was left in his care.

But unknown to them, the young couple who came over to visit had overheard their conversation and barged into the room. They were surprised to see the two systems, Zhi Yue and Zhi Yang. It was Long Juedi and Haerin.

”What does that mean? The ancient forest is in danger?!” Long Juedi question.

Haerin was already in tears as the subject of her unclesʼ conversation were her parents.

”Uncles, are my parents… They… They… Are they alright?” Haerin asked.

Seeing Haerin cry made Lord Huzi nervous. This is the only princess of their family, even his two sons like her the most and even spoiled her by giving everything nice to her. Seeing the reddening eyes of Long Juedi, one can see that he is also trying his best to hold back his tears. After all, in the ancient forest there is also his uncle and cousin who are the last of his family members. If he also lost them then he would be an orphan that didnʼt even have any relatives left.

Beast God Mo Minkong pats long Juediʼs shoulder as he walks towards him and says, ”Calm down and take a seat. Itʼs not as bad as you thought.”

All six of them took a seat in the living area of the office. After serving some calming tea to Long Juedi and Haerin, Mo Minkong and Huzi explained the situation to the couple.

”Is there someone like that! He can possess the Marshal?!” Haerin exclaimed. She was shocked when she learned that the current Marshal Gu Ying is no longer the real Marshal. He was replaced by an existence that is as powerful as gods.

Long Juedi on the other hand had accepted this too easily which the beast god, Lord Mo Minkong had noticed.

”Xiao Jue doesnʼt seem surprised. Did you know already?” Beast God Mo Minkong asked.

Long Juedi responded, ”No Uncle Mo. I only have a few guesses from before. Actually, that summoned beast we killed before, we only learned it looked similar to the summoned beast of the Lord Marshal after we saw its corpse closely. At first we thought it was just a monster but the similarity is there even though it looked distorted by something.”

”There is also the fact that it was this monster who killed Gu Yang. Before the monster came attacking us, we had witnessed that monster eating Gu Yang alive. I was thinking why would his own fatherʼs summoned beast kill Gu Yang. Now that you told me he had been replaced then, that is most likely right.”

The two systems were also surprised by this. They know more about soul, possession and taking over. Unless you are an evil thing, taking possession of oneʼs soul requires a soul contract especially between a god and a mortal. The gods cannot break this contract and likewise, the soul would voluntarily give away the control of its vessel. The gods will protect the souls of the original owner and they will be able to use the vessel that was lent to them.

It was already known that the soul of Gu Ying was still alive when the two commanders had arrived at the borders and he was most likely only replaced after he had returned to the city. Which means that Gu Yingʼs original soul still exists by then. The moment the possessor had made a move on the important people of the original owner of the vessel it meant that the contract between them was broken. Gu Yangʼs death was the beginning and the reason why the Marshal had sent a full attack on the ancient forest.

Zhi Yang frowned, ”No wonder, the situation in the city worsened. That monsterʼs vessel is dying as he broke his contract with the original Gu Ying after he had killed Gu Yingʼs son.”

”Doesnʼt that mean that bad man is dying?” Zhi Yue asked.

Zhi Yangʼs expression turned serious and said, ”Yes, but this is not a good thing. I need to inform the wardens about this, Yueʼer stay here. I will be back soon.” He immediately disappeared as he said these words.

Zhi Yue said, ”Donʼt leave me. What am I supposed to do here?”

”Xiao Yue, what did Xiao Yang mean?” Lord Huzi asked,

Everyoneʼs eyes had fallen on Zhi Yue. Even though he knew the answer he didnʼt know if he should tell it to them. They can see the hesitation in Zhi Yueʼs eyes and this just made them worried.

Beast God Mo Minkong said, ”Itʼs alright. We can take it.”

Sigh~

”What AʼYang meant is that even though the one in Gu Yingʼs body is dying due to a broken soul contract between him and the original Gu Ying, a desperate god is still a god so… AʼYang left to warn our comrades guarding the ancient forest,” said Zhi Yue.

As soon as he said this, the face of Lord Huzi and Haerin turned pale seeing this Beast God Mo Minkong and Long Juedi had no other choice but to support them.

Zhi Yue said, ”Please donʼt worry. This warning was so they can make a move before things get worse. It would save their lives on time and make sure they were aware of the danger.”

”This is not good. I need to inform Mom and Dad so they can hurry to descend,” said the Ninetailed Fox Beastmen Leader, Lord Huzi.

His mate, Beast God, Mo Minkong didnʼt stop his beloved. He knew that he can only feel at ease once he does such a thing. As for Haerin, she had fainted maybe from fear, shock and mixed frustration. Long Juedi also felt helpless at the current situation.

Mo Minkong said, ”You should bring her back to rest and tell her not to do anything foolish. I will leave her in your care, Xiao Jue.”

”Yes, Uncle Mo,” said Long Juedi.

Recalling something, the Beast God remembers that they didnʼt summon this couple and for them to come over meant, they come into his office for a reason.

”By the way, why have you two come?” Commander Mo Minkong asked.
