I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2061: 24.322 Sixth Violet Star - Stabbed

The blessing of immortality was bestowed upon them to avoid misusing it, the God of Destruction told them that the only way to activate this blessing is through a ritual where a royal bloodline will need to feed blood to the spell circle to keep it activated. Of course, the one in the spell circle was blessed with the same blessing of immortality and wouldn’t die. However, the process of losing blood cannot be ignored. It was even unknown if these blood can be restored by the blessing given to them.

The answer to this is yes. But unlike the full immortality the God of Destruction possessed, they wouldn’t be able to go back to life exactly as they die. Instead, it would take time to go back to life. In their case it will take hours. Like how when the hidden guards died for their mission. Their bodies were burned down but they still returned back to life a few hours later. The healing would be slower as well. So it wasn’t wrong when others thought that the Prophet’s life would be sacrificed in the process.

As expected, the moment he heard the whole plan, Lord Guardian Vega was the first to reject it.

”NO! You can’t do this! Heri, let’s change the plan! There should be another way,” said Lord Vega.

He is definitely against the activation of the blessing. He didn’t want to sacrifice his wife over this. Actually, that blessing was something the God of Destruction had nonchalantly mentioned before. No one had truly tried it. Because of this reason, the tribe didn’t even know if the blessing was real or not. Even Lord Huzi and the Beast God Lord Mo Minkong didn’t know about this. The fact that they didn’t know that their hidden guards possessed the same immortality was unknown to them until the two systems, Zhi Yue and Zhi Yang had explained it to them. In short, because the God of Destruction had nonchalantly mentioned it no one remembered it clearly except for the prophet who was reminded by the God of Dreams during his prophecy dream.

The former elf king said, ”We don’t even know if this blessing is real or not! How can you put your life in danger because of this! I don’t agree to this plan!”

”The blessing is real! There is no way that the princes would lie to their tribe!” Prophet Heri said. ”How do you think I have lived to this point? Normally, prophecies needed lifespans as payment. Before we returned to the tribe every time I prophesied something, you have seen my state. I was always sickly. Almost dying. On the day we were found by our nephews and Brother Mo, I had foreseen our deaths!”

”Brother, You and I were supposed to die that day! The only reason we didn’t was because Prince Jing had found us. It was he who had cured my ailments. I didn’t tell you before. That night Prince Jing had come to visit. No one knows. Not even my big brother. I can still remember what he said at that time.”

{What a troublesome power that eats lifespan. If that is the payment you must pay for each time you peek into the future then I will bestow you a blessing of immortality. The pain and suffering will remain as a payment but... You will never be able to die. In this world, no one aside from me is allowed to move the lives of my family in this world.}

At that time, Heri thought it was just a strange dream. But when he started seeing prophecies more frequently the worse he suffered from was coughing blood and slumbering. Sleeping is a way to repair one’s body especially for a mortal like Heri. It’s just no one knows about it and they worry that he will never wake up anymore.

Silence~

The sudden stillness in the area signifies that no one truly believes what the prophet had said. Seeing them like this, Lord Heri was annoyed and looked around. He saw a knife nearby and grabbed it.

”Since you don’t believe it, I will show you a proof!” Lord Heri unhesitatingly stabbed his chest and fell on his bed.

Everyone was shocked by this scene. They all tried to stop their Lord Prophet but as if something had frozen their movement for a while, they were all unable to move. They can only watch as Lord Heri stabs himself.

”NO!!!” Lord Guardian Vega shouted.

Upon hearing the explanation of the Prophet everyone in the tent was dumbfounded by this unexpected truth. Who would have thought that the Prophet would act extreme and stabbed himself on the chest. Just as they were about to mourn his death, they were shocked by what happened next. Even though it took time, the stabbed wound on his chest starts to heal. It pushes the knife out of the body and the wound starts to heal, then with a gasp the prophet comes back to life.

Gasp!

Prophet Heri sat up as he opened his eyes in shock, ”That hurts!” Then he checked on his chest and saw no hole from the stab he had done just now.

Even the unknown power that restrained everyone in the room had also disappeared. Lord Heri was still looking at his unwounded chest with amazement. He never expected to truly come back to life. Though he heard about this blessing from that god in his dream world, trying out was another story.

”Oh my god! I truly came back to life! This crazy~”

Before Heri can make another move Lord Vega had hugged him so tightly that he almost choked.

”I can’t breathe! Soften your hug!”

”You are crazy! What would you have done if you couldn’t come back to life!?” Lord Vega said. ”What is our daughter supposed to do? How am I supposed to live!?”

”Don’t be so careless next time! Don’t test it like that! You are gonna be the death of me!”

The elder shamans, seeing that the couple needed some private time, had silently stepped away. Even though the plan of the Lord Prophet is now possible to achieve, the problem of convincing the Lord Guardian will be left to the Lord Prophet. Right now they only need to gather the warriors of the tribe to explain the plan. Of course, they need to explain to the vassals about this plan. Though it seems unbelievable, since the plan needs to be implemented, there is a need for proper explanation.

By the time, the Lord Prophet had finished coaxing the Lord Guardian, of course the coaxing comes to that nightly exercise on the bed. Lord Vega was preparing to leave the room to resume his duties and is currently dressing with clothes they had removed in the middle, one couldn’t ignore the scratches on his bad which instantly healed under the gaze of Lord Heri.

Tired and bedridden, Lord Heri said, ”Brother, I think you have been given the same blessing as us. Your wounds heal faster than before.”

”I know about the fact that my wounds heal fast. Though I never expected that it was the blessing of immortality that caused it,” said the former elf king.

Looking at the white orb in his hand, Lord Vega said, ”This plan of yours. I agree. Since you had shared with me what you have seen, I believe that the Marshal of the human race was no longer human as you speculated. I will make use of this orb well.”

He approaches his love lying on the bed and lowers himself to kiss him.

Lord Guardian said, ”I will make sure we will survive and see our Haerin again.”

”I believe you. I always do!” Lord Prophet said.

Back to the borders...

After the children had met up with the two commanders of the borderland, they told them everything about what is happening in the city and also their journey on their way here. They told them everything. However, the more the two commanders heard the uglier their faces had become.

Beast God Lord Mo Minkong said, ”If that contracted beast you had killed before coming here is indeed the contracted beast of Marshal Gu Ying, then the city... The city might be even more chaotic now than before. After all, the implosion of a beast is no different than killing itself, which is a breach of contract between the beast and the summoner.”

”Breach of contract between the beast and summoner causes the other life, especially if it was an equal contract between a beast and his contractor. The contract between Gu Ying and his beast is definitely an equal contract, this means his soul is injured and he is... dying,” Lord Huzi, the Ninetailed Fox Beastmen said.

Commander Mo Mingkong said, ”A dying man can do anything especially if he had nothing to lose.”

Upon hearing this the children also realized their mistake. They shouldn’t have tried killing that monster. If they had let it escape it would only run back to the Marshal and report that they had reached the borders and maybe the attacks of the humans towards the ancient forest wouldn’t have worsened to such an extent.

Seeing the palling faces of the children, the two commanders comforted them. Since things had been done, then there is nothing they can do about it but focus on the situation at the borders instead.

Lord Huzi said, ”Don’t blame yourself! It’s not your fault. Moreover, the ancient forest will not fall so easily. Our tribe had many trump cards left.”
