I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 285: 8.12 First Blue Star - Fated Pair

The scene of a huge black dragon breathing out a fire pillar of azure flames and melting those mechas to soft and distorted things was what welcomed everyone upon reaching the location of the flare.

They saw a half-naked Marshal hugging someone within his embrace preciously like it was his life himself he was holding. His raven eyes were tinted with rage and detachment. Only the sight of the black carpeted sky glowing with a purple shade of moonlight, fire, and falling objects from the sky gave them the feeling of a war god overlooking the death of others with an expressionless face.

Feng Yang and the aides noticed the unconscious Bai Yuyan and Feng Wu at some corner beside them; their quantum beasts were also unconscious like them.

As they got closer, they immediately smelled the two scents overlapping each other. The dominant one is obviously the scent of blood mixed with sandalwood. Those who understand frowned at this moment. The adult couplesʼ faces were especially not good at this moment.

The two madams of the two families instantly understood what happened here.

Mrs. Altairʼs thoughts, ʼThis dominant fragrance... this is obviously the scent of my sonʼs pheromones but... Who owns the sweet floral one?ʼ When she saw the gloomy expressions of the Feng Couple, she immediately understood that the other scent was owned by Feng Jing.

ʼMy darlingʼs pheromones were overwhelmed but the egg hasnʼt hatched yet. How could they mix their scent!?ʼ Thoughts of Mrs. Feng while looking at the large red egg the huge black dragon clings to.

Feng Tian and Altair Reeva, these two fathers, approached the youngest marshal. Sirius immediately turned defensive towards the two approaching adults who tightly held Feng Jing in his embrace.

The two fathers were also Sentinels; they understand the protectiveness Altair Sirius is giving his partner as he stares vigilant towards them as he holds his fated pair.

”Brat, you better give this old man a reasonable excuse or I would think youʼve forced our darling into pairing!” exclaimed Feng Tian. His usual cold demeanor towards strangers because he noticed that these two young men had made a temporary pairing with each other.

”It was a trap. To live Iʼve used everything but fell into a state of mania. He... Jingʼer helped me regain my sanity by... entering my spirit domain.” said Altair Sirius. He had explained everything on point and straightforwardly.

Feng Tian, ”Impossible! See it for yourself. My Xiao Jingʼs quantum egg hasnʼt even hatched yet. How could he enter your domain without the help of his quantum beast!?”

”Itʼs indeed still an egg. Sirius explains everything. We need to know what happened here.” said General Altair Reeva.

Marshal Sirius hesitates only for a moment. He stares at his father and then at his guideʼs father.

”Letʼs go to the mansion and have a doctor check on Jingʼer. I will explain everything after that,” said Altair Sirius respectfully.

Feng Tian responded, ”Fine. Letʼs return to the mansion.”

After ordering a few aides and soldiers to clean up the place, the rest of those who were involved had gathered at Feng Jingʼs room. Except for Feng Yang who stayed in the guest room looking after the unconscious Bai Yuyan.

The royal couple had also chosen to rest as the location of the meeting is inconvenient. With them there plus the elders, it would be too crowded. Thus Feng Yue and Zenith Regulus decided to take a rest for tonight.

On the other hand, the rest of the couples including the elders had gathered in the room of Feng Jing. After getting back to the mansion, the clothes of Marshal Sirius and Feng Jing were unpresentable, and they had to change their clothes after a hot bath.

Altair Sirius was unwilling to let Feng Jing out of his sight and the adults had no other choice but to let him look after the sleeping Feng Jing. They had already shared a temporary connection.

The seniors had already considered him as Feng Jingʼs future spouse. Though there havenʼt been any formally yet, no one could move Altair Sirius position as the youngest phoenixʼs fiancé.

Feng Jing in his unconscious state still sticks to the Marshal and because of it, they couldnʼt let the former rest alone in the room and talk to Marshal Sirius in the living room as they were afraid that something might happen to him. Because of this, they had no other choice but to gather in Feng Jingʼs room.

Feng Jingʼs quarters were divided into parts. A living room, study room, guest room, bathrooms, and the Masterʼs bedroom.

Inside the Masterʼs bedroom, Feng is laying on the king-size bed while holding Marshal Altairʼs hand tightly in his sleep. The marshal could only sit at the edge of the bed while looking after Feng Jing.

His eyes were looking soft in worry and affection. Staring at Feng Jing closes his eyes on the bed, if not for the downs and ups of his chest, others would have thought that he is deep due to the paleness of his skin and the cold temperature surrounding him.

But only the Feng Clan knew that the sudden drop of temperature in Feng Jing is due to the bloodline he has from Xueʼs side.

”Senior Xue, is Jingʼer really okay with this sudden drop of temperature?” asked the marshal.

Xue Xia replies, ”This is normal. It was only thanks to your fire energy that Xiao Jing wasnʼt covered in ice. The last time AʼTian awakened for the first time his whole body was covered in ice and everyone waited for him to wake up on his own. At that time even Luna was unable to connect with him due to conflicting attributes. Lunaʼs quantum beast is a snake which is weak to cold.”

Altair Reeva, ”The bloodline of Xue Clan. Does this mean Feng Jing awakens the Ice Bloodline instead of the Phoenix one?”

”No. My youngest had awakened three bloodlines at their purest. First is the Phoenix Bloodline. Just based on the color of the egg, one could see the attributes of fire being dominant. The second is my dadʼs ice bloodline. The snowflakes patterns on the surface of the egg are the clear proof and lastly is... ”

While Feng Tian explains the details of the awakened bloodlines, Feng Jing possessed someone else who had completed his words for him. It was the Marshal.

”The Dragon Kingʼs bloodline. It was only because of this bloodline that Jingʼer was able to enter my spirit domain even without the help of his quantum beast. Dragons had the ability to enter spaces without any restrictions.” said Marshal Sirius.

Altair Reeva asked, ”Are you also able to do space jumps, Sirius?”

”Yes, but I only do that during life and death situations as crossing through spaces needs a large amount of spirit qi. But... For Jingʼer to use it without fully awakening means that his overall potential is like mine... Above SSS rank.” said the Marshal.

”Above SSS Rank!?”

Feng Xuan exclaimed, ”Impossible! In the last test of Xiao Jing, his overall potential is only SS.”

”That was before his awakening. There are some cases of sudden upgrades after awakening. Sirius is also like that before. He was only S+ before he awakened but afterward, his potential had risen to above SSS rank.” said Altair Reeva.

Mrs. Altair commented, ”But dear, isnʼt that only possible because of your Dragon bloodline!?”

Navi Luna spoke, ”For this cause, it must be because of the hidden bloodline of my family.”

Altair Sirius, ”The Navi family is rumored to have a hidden dragon bloodline. But after the original dragon died from their family none of their ongoing generations had awakened one except... Jingʼer”

”Thatʼs right. Because of this special circumstance, our Phoenix Family spread the news of his failure in awakening. This is to avoid the eyes of those who are targeting our Clan, especially the Janus Family!” said Feng Tian.

Feng Xuan, ”For now letʼs forget about the Janus Family. This old man wanted to know how Xiao Jing had helped the Marshal to wake up from his mania. As one already knows, it is normally impossible to soothe a Sentinelʼs Mania without the help of a quantum.

Moreover, the marshal is the strongest Sentinel in the empire. How could our Xiao Jing cure your mania when his quantum beast is only an egg.” asked the Patriarch of the Phoenix Family.

Marshal Sirius didnʼt answer right away but once he did all the words he told them were honest situations he had experienced. He told them every single detail he could remember about what Feng Jing had done during his mania. Telling them that the latter was able to freely enter his domain without being hindered and with no restrictions.

Normally it is extremely dangerous for a guide to enter a Sentinelʼs spirit domain during mania. Not only their soul might end up being devoured, entering a Sentinelʼs domain under a chaotic state may cause fatal injuries to the soul.

But none of this had happened when Feng Jing entered Marshal Siriusʼs spirit domain. In simple words, the marshalʼs spirit itself didnʼt dare to harm Feng Jing at all. If Feng Jing wanted to kill the marshal in that situation, it could be done without anyone stopping him. Thatʼs how unrestricted Feng Jingʼs entrance to the Marshalʼs soul domain is.

But the seniors thought otherwise, they had guessed why Feng Jing was able to enter the Marshalʼs spirit domain without problems.

Xue Xia said, ”Iʼve already read about this case in history. But I think it was really that case, what do you think about this, my husband?”

”If itʼs really that case then... then the lives of you two wouldnʼt be simple at all. It has been millennia since the last fated pair with 100 percent compatibility had appeared,” said Feng Xuan.

Feng Tian, ”Father, it is better to check on it once after Xiao Jing wakes up.”

Altair Reeva, ”If this is really the case then... Janus Stellan would not turn a blind eye to this. He had already sent people to eliminate my son. If he learns anything about Xiao Jing then he might change targets.”

Altair Alya and Navi Luna both exclaimed, ”I wonʼt allow it!”

Feng Tian, ”Un, we wonʼt allow it. Honey, calm down.”

”Mah, mah... It is okay. Nothing happens yet. Dear, calm down.” said Altair Reeva.

Marshal Sirius spoke, ”Iʼm here. I will protect Jingʼer.”

”Since it is like this, what should be done now? Engagement? Marriage? It is better to connect the two families as soon as possible. This will allow us to openly protect Xiao Jing from the Janus Clan.” said Mrs. Altair.

Mrs. Feng spoke, ”Iʼm okay with their union but... Things could only be decided when our darling wakes up.”

”Indeed. We already gave him a promise that he is allowed to choose his other half on his own. His marriage can only be decided by Xiao Jing himself.” said Xue Xia.

Marshal Sirius spoke, ”I can wait. I will respect any decision Jingʼer makes.”

Feng Tian asked, ”What if... He didnʼt choose you?”

”AʼTian!?” calls Feng Xuan. He knew that his son was testing the extent of the Marshalʼs feelings towards their youngest phoenix.

”It doesnʼt matter. I can protect him in my own way. Regardless of whether he chooses me or not.” answered Marshal Sirius.

Feng Tian, ”You said this yourself! This old man would never forgive you if you force our darling to be with you. Our Feng Family has never been afraid of death. If you really force my son, this old man would do anything just to get him back!”

”Please do not worry. I understand everything,” said Marshal Sirius.

Feng Xuan, ”Sigh~ anyway you should stay here at this house until Xiao Jing wakes up. It is better if those men think youʼve died or something. I never expected they would send 100 of mecha just to kill you. Theyʼve destroyed our defensive system even by sacrificing their lives! Only a few survive but those ants still dare to enter the territory of the Phoenix Family!? The guts!”

”Thank you, Senior. I will stay. But please let my right-hand man contact me at least.” said Marshal Sirius.

Xue Xia spoke, ”Your right-hand man is that noisy brat from my side right? Donʼt worry I will inform him.”

”Thank you once again, Senior.”

Feng Xuan, ”Hmp! Donʼt call us seniors. Call us grandfather at least. Even if you werenʼt chosen by our Xiao Jing in the future, you are still a likable child.” he said.

Marshal happily agreed in his heart but his face remained expressionless.

Altair Sirius said, ”I understand. Grandfather.”

Xue Xia, ”For now, take a rest with Xiao Jing. Tonightʼs event was hard on you. Sleep well. We will be taking our leave.”

”I will Grandad,” replied Marshal Sirius.

Afterward, the adults had left the room and headed out to do what they must do. Feng Xuan and Xue Xia had to check out the destruction of the defense system and left the two couples on their own.

Feng Tian and Altair Reeva went to the office and talked about business. The Madams leave together to inform the royal couple about what happened tonight and spend some more time talking about their children before heading to sleep.

Back to Feng Jingʼs Masterʼs bedroom.

Marshal Sirius stares at Feng Jing before talking to his quantum beast, Cielo.

”Cielo, incubate the egg well. Donʼt harm it. Whatever hatch from it will become your partner in the future.”

[I understand, Master.]

After a while, Sirius also lay down on the bed. After he pulled Feng Jing in his embrace, he decided to close his eyes and rest for the night. For him, this night is one hectic evening. It is the day he almost died.
