I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 277: 8.4 First Blue Star - At the Deanʼs Office.

First Military Academy

Hallway towards the Deanʼs Office.

Bai Yuyan continues to observe Feng Jing from behind while conversing with his quantum beast, Stella. They were talking about the profile of Feng Jing which Stella had compiled for his master. The potential of double S is not surprising as the Feng Family had always been an SS-ranked family.

”Itʼs Quick Transmigration: Save your Chrysanthemum System is Online! The Bai Yuyan in the story has lots of suitors from generals to princes, even the zerg King, and others more. Itʼs a danmei, comedy, romance which is full of adventure and thrills plus itʼs a rated 18 novel.”

”Iʼve only bought it since it was on the recommendation list ba~ after reading it, the novel seems to be not too bad.”

It was at this time that Feng Jing suddenly stopped walking in front of him, making his guard.

Feng Jing turned around and looked a bit embarrassed when he was facing Bai Yuyan.

”This... I know you still remembered our promise before. Iʼm talking about that stage fight in exchange for me helping you with your allowance. Actually, about that my elder brother had scolded me about it so I do think it would be canceled.

But please donʼt worry Grandpa Astra. I mean the dean had said that your scholarship wonʼt be rebuked and the teachers involved in taking your allowance should be punished. I think the academy would also compensate you for this problem.

With this, Student Bai will no longer have to worry about your allowance as long as you are a student of this academy.” said Feng Jing with a shy expression.

Clearly, this adorable innocent boy is worrying that after he stops their plans that he would get angry at him for breaking their promise. He also informs the dean about his situation. The reason he must be called this time to the Deanʼs office is to talk about his case.

Bai Yuyan smiled and said, ”Thank you, Student Feng.”

”After your problems are solved, Student Bai should be able to join the end of the month examination. I heard from my brother that lots of high-ranking people would be watching us.

They were choosing future cadets to enter their group. Letʼs do our best!” said Feng Jing.

Bai Yuyan was once again left dazed by the beauty the man in front of him possessed. It wasnʼt only his appearance that attracted him but also his presence. He could feel he was there and he knew he could see him but at the same time, he also knew that he could never stand by his side.

The feeling of wanting something burnt by fate itself doesnʼt allow it. That kind of sensation.

He could only nod his head in agreement with Feng Jingʼs words. Before they finally resumed their walking and reached the Deanʼs office. Feng Jing knocks on the door to show politeness to the seniors inside.

Knock. Knock.

A voice from the inside says, ”Get in.”

Feng Jing took the lead and entered the room with relaxed steps, behind Bai Yuyan keeping his head low imitating the timid personality of Bai Yuyan. But in the corner of his eyes, he was observing the men inside the room.

Looking around he saw a few seniors and a few years older than them, a soldier who had similar features as Feng Jian watching him. Bai Yuyan recognized who this character was.

Bai Yuyanʼs thoughts, ʼThatʼs Feng Yang. The Major General that leads the Phoenix Brigade. I heard that he is supposed to be Feng Jingʼs older brother.ʼ

”Xiao Jing, come here and seat with big brother,” said Feng Yang with a doting expression on his face but when those crimson eyes landed on his being, he felt a sharp yet discerning gaze on him. He felt like a predator was looking at him as prey.

ʼTsk! Obviously, everyone in this room is all stronger men but how come they were looking at me like I stole something from them.ʼ Bai Yuyanʼs thoughts.

Only then did he notice that Feng Jin didnʼt walk over towards his big brother as he was called inside his sleeves were held and he was pulled over by the innocent Feng Jing towards the dean.

”Grandpa Astra, this Bai Yuyan. He is among the top 5 most outstanding students in the academy.” Introduced Feng Jing happily obviously didnʼt notice the eldersʼ criticizing gaze theyʼve given the child from before.

Their expression instantly turned friendly while looking at Feng Jing. Just seeing this reaction is enough to know how important Feng Jing is to these seniors before him.

But the Mercenary King understood their reactions, ʼWith an innocent little rabbit-like this its normal for the people of his family to thoroughly check on the people approaching their treasure. Else they wouldnʼt even know when someone kidnapped this precious little Feng of theirs.ʼ

Bai Yuyan followed the memories he got from the original and saluted towards the senior before him in the way he remembers. He lowered his back and bowed down as he placed a fist above his heart.

”Student Bai greets all the seniors!”

”Un. We heard everything from Xiao Jing. This old man, apologies for getting you involved in our youngest silliness. We hope you donʼt mind.” says Feng Xuan, the patriarch of Feng Clan.

Bai Yuyan respectfully replies, ”Please donʼt worry seniors. Bai Yuya doesnʼt mind. It was this student who took advantage of Young Lord Feng. Please punish me!”

[Youʼre good, Master. This way they wonʼt think you are really thinking of using Feng Jing for your plans and shows your remorse for being greedily at that point.]

”No! It was me who ordered those things. It was this Feng Jing who was at fault.”

Feng Yang frowned seeing his little brother taking the side of a stranger.

”Xiao Jing, come here!” commanded Feng Yang to his stubborn younger brother.

Feng Jing pouted and retorted, ”No. Brother, I really am the one wrong. I was the one who asked them to help me!”

”Listen to big brother, Xiao Jing. We are not really going to scold him. Come here and sit with me.” said Feng Yang.

Feng Jing glances at Bai Yuyan with a helpless expression, he didnʼt want him to get scolded.

At least thatʼs how our mc is acting out his innocent facade.

[Wow~ If the Lord God saw this scene that brat would definitely get killed on the spot by that huge vinegar jar.]

Bai Yuyan took his acting seriously. He lightly pats the back of this silly young lord indicating that he should go to his elder brotherʼs side and that he would be okay.

”Go,” whispered Bai Yuyan.

Feng Jing reluctantly nods his head towards Bai Yuyan and walks towards Feng Yang as he was told to do so. After sitting on the couch beside his brother Feng Jing can only keep his mouth shut.

The dean who was smiling suddenly gestured for Student Bai to sit at the empty single couch. Once Bai Yuyan is seated the conversation finally restarted. What the Mercenary king didnʼt know is that the senior had only calmed down when they smelled the scent of the guide on him. As long as this child is a guide, the probability of their little darling being kidnapped in the future is lessened.

”Student Bai, this old man had already heard your situation from Xiao Jing. Please donʼt worry. Those teachers who extort you of your allowance and those behind them would definitely be punished.” said Dean Astra.

Bai Yuyan, ”Thank you, Dean, Seniors.”

Xue Xia is observing the child in front of him. The more he looks the more he likes him, ”Child, did you just awaken as a Guide?”

A startled and vigilant look appeared on Bai Yuyanʼs face. This time he chooses not to act like the original and showed how fierce his real personality is.

”How did you know?” his voice turned cold as his expression became serious.

A tense atmosphere spreads in the room as the old men exchange stares with the timid child from before becoming keen like this. The three old men suddenly started laughing as they stared at the child with a more friendly gaze than before.

This child is clearly unaffiliated with anyone as he didnʼt know how to use mist perfume to cover his scent.

[a/n: Mist Perfume is a special tool that could be used by both the Sentinel and Guide to hiding their pheromones. This would allow them to avoid being stared upon by others.]

The Mist Perfume is quite expensive. Only those who have money and fame can buy it. If an Awakened Guide remains unaffiliated with the other faction, they have only three options. Join the military and they would provide it for you. Enter the Guide Tower and sign a contract with them and youʼll receive a monthly supply for it in exchange for helping with mania cleansing. Lastly, you could work for the palace or nobles. They would provide you mist perfume as long as you join their faction.

But obviously, this child in front of them had just awakened lately. Since he is still a young man, clearly no one told him about this kind of thing.

Dean Astra spoke, ”Child calm down. There is a reason why we knew that you had awakened. There is a scent coming from you. This pheromone can only be smelled by Sentinels and Guides. In this room, everyone here is not an ordinary person. Normally, we could perceive it.”

Xue Xia took something from his button space. A perfume.

”You can use this for now. This is a Mist Perfume. It is scentless and can hide the pheromones you possess. But you should still be careful, it can only temporarily hide your pheromones for a day for one spray.” said Xue Xia while smiling.

Bai Yuyan received the perfume but he still held a discerning expression on his face. He knew that no one would be this kind to a stranger unless... they need something from him.

Student Bai asked, ”What do you wish for me to do?”

Feng Xuan, ”Heh~ smart. You are indeed not bad. Our request is simple. Protect Feng Jing when he is far away from us. You know that he is unawakened.

The duration should be until Xiao Jing had awakened at least. It would take that long. He should be awakening within this month or so. You can protect him for at least that long.”

”In exchange, we provide you with necessities like that masking perfume and allows you free access in the training rooms and all the facilities in the academy for a month as well. How about it, Student Bai?” asked Feng Yang.

The former mercenary king had observed each and everyoneʼs expression and even asked his quantum beast to check whether they were lying. Among them, only the sleepy Feng Jing seems to be detached from the conversation inside the room.

In his mind space, ”How is it, Stella?”

[They are not lying. Moreover, free usage of all facilities in this place would allow the master to at least train his body to stability.

That Mist Perfume is extremely helpful as well. It is more useful for the master right now than the second option.]

”Second Option? There is another way to hide my pheromones?”

[There is but for the master it is not applicable. Since the second option needs a Sentinel to help a guide hide his scent. There is a skill a Sentinel possesses. It is called Blind. It is a skill that makes use of a Sentinelʼs scent to mask the scent of a Guide.

This can be done between families and between lovers. After all, leaving a scent on someone is like a marking indicating that this person is mine.]

”You are right. This perfume is better for me. By the way, where can I buy this thing?”

[It can be bought but it needs astronomical star coins to do so. It is a product made by Spirit brewers. It is extremely expensive unless you hire a Spirit Brewer to make it for you. The Feng Clan has one. They could provide you enough.

Master demands a bottle each day. A monthʼs worth of perfume is enough to last for at least two years at most.]

Bai Yuyan looks at Feng Yang and waves the bottle of mist perfume in front of him, ”A bottle of this daily for a month.”

”Agreed. I shall send 30 bottles of mist perfume for your use,” said Feng Yang who readily accepted this condition for this child to protect his younger brother while in the academy.

Bai Yuyan nods his head, ”I agree to this mission.”

With this Bai, Yuyan becomes Feng Jingʼs secret bodyguard in the academy. As an awakened Guide he should be able to protect Feng Jing against the other student unless the enemy is stronger than him. His overall potential is S for now after all.
