The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 299: Chapter 301 【301】Driven Crazy by You 2

”That’s because Xia Xiaonuan is not dead!” Xia Xinmei clenched her teeth and whispered, ”If she were really dead, do you think Nangong Yaoling wouldn’t thoroughly investigate the matter?”

”Xin... No, Miss... I...” Yun lowered her head.

Xia Xinmei sighed in disappointment, walked down from the bed, and stood by the window.

”I chatted with her today, and it felt like talking to a different person. The old Xia Xiaonuan would tell me everything, but today, she treated me like an outsider and seemed very wary...”

”Ever since the Young Mistress... ever since she lost her memory, she’s become a completely different person...” Yun walked up behind Xia Xinmei. ”Sometimes, I also don’t know what she’s thinking...”

Xia Xinmei turned around.

Surprised: ”It’s true? The Young Master doesn’t like her?”

”No...” Yun shook her head thoughtfully: ”The Young Master seems to care about her a lot. It’s just that she... she used to love him deeply, but ever since she lost her memory, she doesn’t care about him at all and goes against him every day!”

Xia Xinmei: ...

”Interesting.” She let out a cold laugh.

Xia Xinmei said: ”You don’t need to do anything for now, just keep an eye on her!”

”Now that you’re back, can you please stay?” Yun clutched Xia Xinmei’s arm. ”She quarrels with the Young Master all the time. Xinmei, if you want to win him back, I can help you! No matter what you need me to do, I’ll do it!”

”No...” Xia Xinmei shook her head firmly. ”I will never go back to a man who once abandoned me! I’m back this time because I have something very important to do. So... make sure you watch Xia Xiaonuan closely, I’ll contact you when the time comes!”

”What... what have you been doing this past year? I’m really worried about you... Xinmei, can’t you stay? I’m begging you!” Yun held Xia Xinmei’s hand, speaking excitedly.

”What are you doing? I have to leave! Let go of me...”

”No, I won’t let go! Xin’er, you are my daughter, I can’t live without you! I am alive only for you...”

”Enough!” Xia Xinmei glanced toward the door and interrupted her, forcefully shaking her off: ”I warn you, do not say such things at home ever again!”

Yun was shaken off by Xia Xinmei, almost falling down, caught off guard.

She bumped into a vase beside her, ”Bang!”—a loud noise, the vase shattered into pieces.

Yun was frightened and held onto the cabinet for support.

At this moment, they heard Mrs. Xia’s voice coming from the hallway: ”Xinmei? What happened?”

Xia Xinmei and Yun quickly exchanged glances. Xia Xinmei walked to the bedside and picked up the bird’s nest soup.

Mrs. Xia pushed open the door.

”Yun, you haven’t rested yet? What are you two doing?” Mrs. Xia asked, puzzled.

”Mom... It’s nothing, Yun just brought me some bird’s nest soup, but I said I didn’t want it, and accidentally spilled it. Yun slipped and broke the vase.”

Mrs. Xia’s eyes flashed with displeasure, she sneered: ”Yun, really. You’re not even as old as I am, and you still managed to trip while delivering bird’s nest soup.”

”Madam, I’m sorry, it was my fault...”

”Oh, Mom...” Xia Xinmei smiled brightly as she went forward to hold Mrs. Xia’s arm, rubbing against her affectionately, ”It’s just a vase, why get upset? I haven’t seen you in so long, I’ve missed you dearly. Can I sleep in your room tonight?”
