The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 292: Chapter 294 【294】Gazing at Her Passionately 3

Mrs. Xia hung her head low, speaking in a humble tone.

Nangong Yaoling sat upright beside the sofa, drinking tea alone while the servants attended to him carefully. His noble elegance made him appear like a regal king.

”What’s going on?” Xinmei asked softly, glancing at Xia Xiaonuan.

Xia Xiaonuan sighed helplessly.

Descending the stairs.

”Why are you here, Nangong Yaoling?”

Nangong Yaoling lifted his eyes and saw Xia Xiaonuan standing in front of him.

”Why, can’t I come here?” Nangong Yaoling squinted, looking at Xia Xiaonuan.

”No, that’s not what I meant! Xiaonuan didn’t mean that...” Xia Zhennan quickly interjected, turning to give Xiaonuan a meaningful look.

”Xiaonuan, how can you talk to Young Master like that?”

Xia Xiaonuan:...

”Are you here to take me home? Fine, I’ll go with you!” Xia Xiaonuan didn’t want him to stay here any longer. Seeing the humbled appearance of her parents made her very uncomfortable.

Xia Xiaonuan walked towards him, but Nangong Yaoling suddenly reached out and grabbed her small hand.

Then, he pulled forcefully.

Drawing her whole body into his embrace.

”What are you doing? Let me go!” Xia Xiaonuan glared at Nangong Yaoling in shame and anger, trying to break free from him.

Her waist was gripped tightly by a large hand, and Nangong Yaoling clasped her chin, lowering his head.

Xia Xiaonuan was startled, turning her flushed face away. Nangong Yaoling only touched her cheek.

He calmly looked at Xia Xiaonuan, his handsome face glowing under the light.

The man smiled mischievously, his fingertips grazing Xia Xiaonuan’s cheek, exhaling softly, ”Why are you blushing? Even though your parents are here, I think they’d wish for me to be closer to you, maybe even take you right here? Isn’t that right... Hmm, you smell so good...”

Xia Xiaonuan sat passively on Nangong Yaoling’s lap, unable to break free, glaring at him fiercely, ”What nonsense are you talking about?”

Feeling the eyes on her from behind, she felt utterly humiliated.

Mr. Xia and Mrs. Xia’s faces alternated between red and white in embarrassment.

They knew very well that Nangong Yaoling did it intentionally to embarrass them.

Recalling what happened last time, Mrs. Xia felt ashamed and wished a hole would open in the ground for her to crawl into. Her voice trembling, she said, ”Young Master, I... I truly know I was wrong. Last time, it was just a moment of foolishness. I behaved shamefully for my age. It won’t happen again!”

”I’m glad you know.” Nangong Yaoling’s cold eyes swept over: ”Even though she is your daughter, I don’t want anyone, including her parents, to harm her even a little, nor will I tolerate anyone trying to use her for some purpose.” His voice was chilling, making Xia Xiaonuan’s hair stand on end.

She looked at the incredibly handsome face in front of her with a complicated expression. Was Nangong Yaoling standing up for her?

”We understand, Young Master, please rest assured. Xiaonuan is my daughter; I treasure her too much to ever harm her... It’s all just a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding...”

Xia Zhennan wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, quickly replying.

Nangong Yaoling’s lips curved into a faint smile.

He lowered his head and planted a light kiss on Xia Xiaonuan’s forehead; seeing her dumbfounded look, he reached out and tapped her nose.

”Xiaonuan, don’t look at me like that, or I’ll think you’ve fallen in love with me!”
