The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 291: Chapter 293: Staring at Her with Intense Eyes 2

Xia Zhennan saw Yun’s barely concealed excitement, his eyes darkening slightly, and quickly said, ”Alright, everyone stop being so polite, we’re all family, let’s eat!”

Mrs. Xia picked up a lion’s head meatball and placed it in Xiaonuan’s bowl, ”Xiaonuan, how have you been getting along with Young Master lately? Look at you, you’ve lost weight. Without Mom by your side, you don’t take care of yourself...” Mrs. Xia frowned, speaking with a hint of reproach.

”I’m fine, Mom...”

”By the way, Xiaonuan, how are things between you and Young Master? When are you going to give Mom and Dad a grandson?” Xia Xinmei looked at Xia Xiaonuan, smiling brightly as she asked.

Talking about this made Xia Xiaonuan feel overwhelmed.

She glanced at Xia Xinmei and her parents who were all looking at her expectantly.

”Well... it’s not something that can be rushed.”

Due to the previous incident of drugging, Mrs. Xia always felt guilty towards Xia Xiaonuan. This time, she didn’t dare to say much about it, just said, ”Yes, Xiaonuan, let it happen naturally! It’s okay, Mom isn’t in a rush, as long as you and Young Master are well, Mom will be satisfied!”

Xia Xiaonuan smiled slightly.

After dinner, Xia Xiaonuan went up the stairs alone.

She entered her bedroom, and after a while, Xia Xinmei also came upstairs.

”Xiaonuan...”

Xia Xiaonuan snapped out of her thoughts.

”Sis...”

”Stay here with me tonight. I won’t be able to stay for long this time, let’s have a good chat, okay?”

”...” Xia Xiaonuan thought about Nangong Yaoling. They had just fought last night, and she came to the Xia Family today without informing him. She wondered if Nangong Yaoling would be upset?

Moreover, because of the last incident, she instinctively felt a bit uneasy.

”Are you worried that Young Master won’t be happy? Oh, by the way...” Xia Xinmei held Xia Xiaonuan’s hand, ”How are things between you and Young Master? I heard you argued with him at the resort last time. What happened? Did he bully you?”

Xia Xiaonuan was taken aback.

”How did you know...”

”Oh!” Xia Xinmei smiled, ”Of course Yun told me. She said you came back unhappy after fighting with Young Master. We’re all really worried about you!”

A hint of displeasure flashed in Xia Xiaonuan’s heart.

Yun, someone she trusted quite a bit.

Unexpectedly, she had talked about these things behind her back to Xia Xinmei!

Perhaps she thought that Xia Xinmei was a family member and that’s why she told her!

Thinking about it, Xia Xiaonuan gave a bitter smile, ”It’s nothing, just a small misunderstanding.”

”NG’s resort must be really fun,” Xia Xinmei shifted topics, ”I heard it costs tens of thousands to go there, and only the wealthy dare to visit. Ordinary people wouldn’t even consider it.”

”It’s okay, if you like it, I’ll ask Nangong Yaoling to take you next time.”

”Really?” Xia Xinmei smiled, ”Promise?”

”Yes...”

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

The maid, with a slightly shaky voice, said from outside, ”Second Miss, Young Master is here, downstairs.”

Xia Xiaonuan froze.

Nangong Yaoling was here?

”Looks like Young Master is very considerate, coming to pick you up already? Let’s go down quickly.”

Xia Xiaonuan suddenly felt uneasy. After descending the stairs with Xia Xinmei, she saw Nangong Yaoling sitting on the couch with a cold expression.

Mr. Xia and Mrs. Xia stood in front of him, looking tense.

Mr. Xia kept apologizing, ”Young Master, everything was because of Fengjun’s lack of understanding last time, please don’t take it to heart...”

”Yes, Young Master, I already know I was wrong, please forgive me...”
