The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 252: Chapter 254 [254] Encounter with Bandits on the Mountain Road 3

Xia Xiaonuan quickly flung open the car door and jumped out, running while shouting, ”Help! Help—!”

The African man followed, quickly catching up with her and grabbing her arm, ”Little girl, keep me company. I promise I won’t hurt you, otherwise...”

As he spoke, he suddenly pulled out a gleaming knife from behind him and brandished it in front of Xia Xiaonuan, ”Otherwise, my knife doesn’t have eyes!”

Xia Xiaonuan was completely terrified, never imaging she would encounter such a situation! She looked around, there wasn’t even the moon tonight. Through the faint car light, she could only see desolate wilderness, not a single house in sight.

All she could hear were the sounds of insects and the rustling of leaves as the wind blew through.

It was horrifyingly eerie.

Her heart chilled instantly.

”You can scream all you want, there’s no one here. Tonight, this place belongs to us,” the African man said as he threw Xia Xiaonuan against the car and leaned in.

Before he got close, Xia Xiaonuan smelled a strong odor of sweat from him, feeling nauseous.

”Get away...” Xia Xiaonuan, panicked and frightened, suddenly shoved the man and ran away.

She hadn’t run far when her shoes fell off. The mountain road was hard to walk on; her foot hit a stone and she fell to the ground with a thud.

A sharp pain shot through her knee.

Behind her came laughter, ”Little sister, you better resign yourself to fate. Tonight, I’m going to...”

Before he finished speaking, suddenly, a beam of light from a car appeared in the distance.

Xia Xiaonuan was stunned for a moment, then hope flared up in her heart.

She propped herself up and ran towards the light, shouting desperately, ”Help—!”

However, when a man dressed in white emerged from the car, and Xia Xiaonuan saw his familiar features, her heart trembled violently and tears flowed again. She ran barefoot towards him, stumbling, and threw herself into Liang Shaochen’s arms.

Liang Shaochen watched in disbelief, feeling as if something had gripped his heart tightly when he saw Xia Xiaonuan rushing towards him in distress.

The girl in his arms was trembling fiercely, her small body shaking. She clutched his shirt so tightly she seemed to be wringing it.

Liang Shaochen stood there, stiff, suppressing the tremor in his heart, as his gaze shifted to the African man in the distance.

His dark pupils suddenly filled with a terrifying intensity.

The African man was also taken aback, not expecting anyone to be there. Seeing Liang Shaochen, he brandished his knife menacingly and said, ”If you know what’s good for you, let go of that woman!”

Liang Shaochen’s lips curled into a cold smile as he tried to push the girl away.

But she clung to him so tightly that he couldn’t push her off.

Liang Shaochen felt his heart tremble.

”Xiaonuan... it’s okay now.” He patted her back and leaned down to comfort her gently by her ear.

Her trembling finally eased, and she came to her senses, slowly releasing Liang Shaochen.

One hand was still trembling from the fright.

Liang Shaochen held her shoulders and looked into her eyes, ”Wait for me here.”

Saying this, he let go of her and walked straight towards the African man.
