The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 251: Chapter 253 [253] Encounter with Bandits on the Mountain Path 2

The lights had just turned on, and in an instant, the streetlight illuminated the man’s handsome face. The man furrowed his brows, his pupils filled with worry and concern.

His gaze unconsciously fell on her neck, which was covered with recent marks.

Xia Xiaonuan noticed his gaze and felt immensely embarrassed in that moment.

She instinctively reached out, pulled up the collar of her shirt, and covered her neck.

”I... no... it’s nothing...” She stammered quickly, then tried to break free from the man’s grip. ”Let go of me!”

Liang Shaochen seemed to realize that his grip was inappropriate and awkwardly withdrew his hand.

”Sorry...”

Xia Xiaonuan stepped forward, ready to leave.

Liang Shaochen blocked her again: ”You... you... are you going back to the hotel? Let me take you...”

Tears covered the girl’s face densely. Liang Shaochen was initially just shocked, but seeing Xia Xiaonuan’s resistance made him inexplicably tense, causing him to stutter.

Xia Xiaonuan felt utterly ashamed.

She didn’t dare to look directly at him; her gaze only fell on Liang Shaochen’s chest, where his shirt was casually unbuttoned.

She could faintly smell the light scent of green tea on him.

Xia Xiaonuan’s hands and feet trembled, her voice quivered, and she struggled internally for a few seconds before mustering the courage to lift her head and coldly said, ”Please move, can you?”

Liang Shaochen furrowed his brows tightly. This was the first time Xia Xiaonuan had spoken to him in such a tone. His whole body stiffened, wanting to speak but ultimately remaining silent.

He clenched a fist with his drooped hand, slowly turned around, and silently made way.

Xia Xiaonuan walked past him, feeling his gaze on her like a thorn in her back. She covered her lips, quickly flagged down a taxi on the street, opened the door, and got in.

Seeing Xia Xiaonuan get into the car, Liang Shaochen quickly turned around, ran to his own car, got in, and swiftly chased after the taxi.

...

Sitting in the car, tears cascaded down Xia Xiaonuan’s face endlessly. She kept crying, and the driver, a Black man, turned to ask her where to go several times, but Xia Xiaonuan was too absorbed in crying to respond.

The taxi driver glanced at Xia Xiaonuan’s delicate face in the rearview mirror, looking pitiful. She was wearing a loose men’s shirt, barely hiding her graceful figure.

The Black driver touched his lips, a lustful glint flashing across his face.

Xia Xiaonuan didn’t know how long she had cried, but she realized it was completely dark outside and then said to the driver, ”Driver, where is this? I want to go to MG Resort Hotel!”

The Black driver’s face lit up in the dark, turning around to give Xia Xiaonuan a lewd smile, speaking in broken Chinese, ”Girl, what wronged you? Your crying is heart-wrenching, don’t be afraid, I’ll take good care of you later!”

Xia Xiaonuan froze upon hearing this.

She said warily, ”What do you want? Stop the car, I want to get out!”

After saying this, she tried to open the door but found it locked.

”Stop the car! Stop the car now!” Xia Xiaonuan pounded on the door vigorously. The Black driver turned back, smiling with white teeth showing: ”Don’t be afraid, I’m not a bad guy...”

The car quickly stopped at the foot of a desolate mountain.
