Chapter 205: Xue Biao

”Girl Zhao, Axing, you two are out for a stroll too! Haha, how’s it going? Are you hitting it off?”

Just then, a woman in her forties walked over from the side of the square.

”Aunt Zheng!” Ye Xing couldn’t help but call out.

This Aunt Zheng was Ye Xing’s neighbor, living right next door to his family. She was quite enthusiastic and righteous, often interacting with Ye Xing’s mother, going grocery shopping together and the like. The two families were very familiar and friendly. It was Aunt Zheng who had set up this blind date between Ye Xing and Zhao Liqing.

”Aunt Zheng!” Zhao Liqing quickly wiped the tear tracks from the corners of her eyes.

”Huh? Girl Zhao, what’s wrong with you? Your eyes are all red. Did Axing bully you?” Aunt Zheng asked, puzzled.

”No, it’s not... it has nothing to do with Ye Xing.” Zhao Liqing wiped away her tears and said urgently, ”Aunt Zheng, you know people at the nightclub, right? Please, think of something! These men are going to beat up Ye Xing!”

”Hmm?” Aunt Zheng’s expression changed. She finally noticed Bao Dachang and his four companions nearby. Because it was already dark and her vision was a bit blurry, she hadn’t seen them earlier. Now, looking closely, she saw that all five of them were gripping black steel pipes and iron rods, staring over with ill intent.

Those dark steel pipes and iron rods... getting hit with one of those would definitely break bones. Even if it didn’t kill you, it could leave you crippled.

”Yo, isn’t that Old Bao?” Aunt Zheng quickly put on a smile and greeted Bao Dachang. ”Old Bao, you’re a big shot. Why lower yourself to bickering with these two kids? Resorting to pipes and fists is so unseemly. How about you give me some face? I’ll have them personally come and apologize to you tomorrow.”

”I was wondering who it was. So it’s Sister Zheng! Fine, since you’ve spoken up, I, Bao Dachang, will naturally give you face. You can take the little chick with you. As for this kid, I’m absolutely going to beat him to death tonight!” A vicious glint flashed in Bao Dachang’s eyes; he clearly had no intention of letting Ye Xing go.

Aunt Zheng’s face stiffened. ”Old Bao, that’s not very decent of you. Ye Xing lives in our neighborhood too. We’re all neighbors. We can talk things out. Why resort to violence? How about this, it’ll be my treat. Whatever conflict you have, we can resolve it over a meal...”

”Alright, Zheng Guihua, cut the fucking crap. So what if you know Sanzi? I, Bao Dachang, am not necessarily afraid of him. When I’m in a good mood, I might give him some face. When I’m not, I couldn’t care less. As for you, Zheng Guihua, who the hell do you think you are!” Bao Dachang sneered. ”Boys, beat that kid senseless!”

At Bao Dachang’s command, the four or five henchmen immediately swung their iron rods, smashing down toward Ye Xing.

Suddenly, at that very moment—

SCREECH!

The sound of a car braking suddenly pierced the air.

An Audi pulled to a stop in the square beside the group. The window rolled down slowly, and a man in sunglasses leaned his head out. ”Bao Dachang, what are you doing here instead of watching over the nightclub?”

At the sound of the man’s voice, Bao Dachang and his four henchmen froze. They quickly turned their heads, their hearts skipping a beat. Sycophantic smiles instantly replaced their fierce expressions, and their menacing gazes filled with fawning respect. ”Bro... Brother Biao, what brings you here!”

Bao Dachang hurried forward, took out a cigarette, and obsequiously lit it for the man in black sunglasses.

Wisps of blue smoke curled into the air. The man in sunglasses took a drag from the cigarette and said flatly, ”You still haven’t answered my question. Spit it out. What are you doing here instead of watching the club?”

”There are other brothers watching the place, so it should be fine! I’ll head back soon!” Bao Dachang hesitated before saying, ”Brother Biao, don’t laugh, but I got injured by some punk kid. Look at my mouth, I even lost two front teeth. I just can’t let this go. Once I’m done beating the hell out of him, I’ll go right back. How about it?”

”Oh? Someone actually dares to mess with people from our Junhao Nightclub? Guess they’ve got a death wish. Fine!” The man, Brother Biao, nodded slightly, then said in a cold voice, ”Be quick about it. As soon as you’re done, get back to the club. The boss put me in charge of the nightclub, and I won’t tolerate a single mistake. Otherwise, I’ll hold you personally responsible!”

”Yes, yes, of course! Don’t you worry, Brother Biao, I’ll be super quick!” Bao Dachang was ecstatic. He quickly picked up his iron rod and was about to turn away.

”Wait!” A flicker in his eyes, the man, Brother Biao, suddenly called out to Bao Dachang again. ”You’re here to beat someone up, right?”

”Huh?” Bao Dachang looked puzzled, unsure of what Brother Biao was getting at.

”Let me do it!” The man, Brother Biao, opened the car door and stepped out, dressed head to toe in black. He exuded a chilling aura. With a SLAM, he shut the car door.

”Sigh, I played mahjong all day and had terrible luck. Since there’s a punching bag right here, let me vent a little. I’ll beat him up for you. You just stand aside and watch,” said the man, Brother Biao.

Bao Dachang was stunned for a moment, then overjoyed. ”That’s great! With Brother Biao making a move, it’s a sure thing. To be honest, that kid is a little strange. He doesn’t look all that buff—his arms are thinner than mine—but he managed to trip me twice in a row, and I even broke my front teeth. I was actually pretty nervous about coming to beat him up this time, which is why I brought four brothers to gang up on him. But now that Brother Biao is taking action, that kid is definitely dead! Haha.”

”Mm, that’s a given! I’ve already mastered sixty to seventy percent of the Longevity Fist. When it comes to fighting, besides Boss Wu Qiang, there aren’t many in all of Luoxian County who are my match!” The man, Brother Biao, looked confident and relaxed. With a cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth, he slowly walked toward Ye Xing.

CLACK! CLICK-CLACK!

His shiny black leather shoes clacked on the ground, a crisp yet heavy sound that created a crushing psychological pressure. One look was enough to tell you he was an absolutely vicious person.

”Ye Xing, don’t just stand there, run!” Zhao Liqing urgently said to Ye Xing.

”It’s over... why is it him!” Aunt Zheng, standing to the side, looked terrified. Her face was deathly pale as she stared in horror at the approaching man in black with sunglasses, murmuring, ”It’s Xue Biao... We’re finished. Why would a big shot like him bother to deal with us personally? Isn’t that beneath him? This shouldn’t be happening... We’re so screwed.”

Ten meters—

Eight meters—

Seven meters—

Six meters—

”Kid, you’ve got some guts, not even running! Seeing as you have a bit of a spine, I’ll go a little easy on you. A three-month hospital stay should be enough!”

A hint of contempt flickered in Xue Biao’s eyes. When he was five meters from Ye Xing, his knuckles suddenly cracked. He clenched his palm into a fist and rushed forward, swinging it at Ye Xing.
