New Age Of Summoners

’This is my chance.’

Since the Flaming Monkey was injured, Protos knew it was his chance.

Because if he delayed, the Flaming Monkey would recover in no time.

Moreover, right now, its speed was also at its lowest, making it convenient for Protos to deal with it.

[Inferno Flame Bullet]!

Ten low-powered bullets landed on the injured Flaming Monkey, but they didn’t do much damage.

’Let’s see how much damage my actual Inferno Flame Bullet can deal now.’

The earlier 10 bullets were just to trigger his Unique Skill: Flame Accumulation, and the eleventh one was the real one.

[Inferno Flame Bullet]!

’Swiish!’

’Kacha!’

A large crack appeared across the Flaming Monkey’s crystalline body.

’This is my chance!’

Protos continued attacking the same spot, preventing the Flaming Monkey from recovering completely.

Although he couldn’t kill the evolved Flaming Monkey with a single attack like before, he gradually wore it down.

Ten minutes later, after a prolonged battle, the evolved Flaming Monkey finally collapsed.

[The host’s Elemental Spirit, Protos, has killed a Quasi-Divine Elemental Beast (Emperor Realm) on its own.]

[The proficiency of the Elemental Spirit’s skill, [Fiery Rage], has increased slightly.]

[The Elemental Spirit’s cultivation has increased slightly.]

’As expected, killing a single evolved Emperor Realm Elemental Beast isn’t enough to increase his cultivation by an entire level.’

Ajax collected the Divine Pearl Fragments dropped by the Flaming Monkey and nodded in understanding.

Since Protos had already reached the Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm, the requirements for increasing his cultivation had become much higher.

”Protos, use your Elemental Beasts to kill the next one.”

Ajax pointed towards another evolved Flaming Monkey.

His bloodline boost and Protos’ [Flame Body] were still on cooldown. Instead of wasting time waiting for them to recover, Ajax wanted to test whether Protos could receive the same rewards when his Elemental Beasts killed the evolved Flaming Monkeys.

’Swiish!’

At Protos’ command, ten evolved Flaming Monkeys charged towards their opponent.

’Boom! Boom!’

Their combined attacks overwhelmed the lone Flaming Monkey, and it was killed within moments.

’As I expected, the rewards haven’t changed!’

Ajax was delighted with the result.

Although the system notification still described the kill as being performed by Protos alone, his Elemental Beast Army had clearly done the fighting.

This meant that the Elemental Beasts were a part of Protos’ own battle prowess, and the rewards didn’t change.

In short, Ajax no longer needed to wait for Protos’ battle-enhancing abilities to recover before continuing the training.

As long as the Elemental Beasts killed the evolved opponents, Protos could continue receiving rewards.

With that thought, Ajax quickly evolved the remaining Flaming Monkeys, and Protos ordered his Elemental Beast Army to finish them off.

Even after killing several evolved Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys, however, Protos remained at Level 1 Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm.

’Perhaps he needs to kill ten evolved Emperor Realm Elemental Beasts to advance by a level.’

Ajax wasn’t particularly worried about it.

After all, the main advantage of Protos’ Divine Talent was that he could control up to 100 Elemental Beasts.

As long as they could keep bringing him suitable opponents, his cultivation would continue increasing.

’Now, it’s time to visit the Lava River.’

Ajax took Protos and his Elemental Beast Army to the Lava River, where countless Volcanic Sharks and Fiery Lava Snakes lived beneath the molten surface.

Similar to the Flaming Forest, the Lava River was almost completely avoided by the participants.

The moment they tried to hunt the Elemental Beasts living there, those creatures would disappear into the depths of the river.

If the participants sent their Elemental Spirits after them, the hunters could quickly become the hunted.

Even Emperor Realm Summoners had to think twice before entering the Lava River.

However, Ajax was different thanks to his Divine Body Cultivation.

On the other hand, Protos was also different, as he could control the Elemental Beasts after Ajax evolved them and make them hunt in his place.

’As long as I capture and evolve them, Protos can turn the dangerous inhabitants of the Lava River into members of Protos’ Elemental Beast Army.’

”First, let’s increase your Elemental Beast Army.”

Ajax jumped into the Lava River and began hunting the Emperor Realm Elemental Beasts.

’There are so many Emperor Realm Elemental Beasts here!’

Looking at the dozen Emperor Realm Elemental Beasts swimming towards him, Ajax became excited.

He immediately began capturing them, injecting the necessary Divine Essence of Nature into each one and evolving them into Quasi-Divine Elemental Beasts.

The process continued for two hours.

By the time Ajax finished, he had evolved 50 Emperor Realm Elemental Beasts, including 30 Volcanic Sharks and 20 Fiery Lava Snakes.

With these new additions, Protos’ Elemental Beast Army finally reached its full capacity of 100!

”Protos, have your Elemental Beasts bring more Emperor Realm Elemental Beasts from the Lava River.”

”Yes, Summoning Master!”

Protos immediately issued his orders.

His 50 Volcanic Sharks and Fiery Lava Snakes returned to the depths of the river to capture the attention of other Emperor Realm Elemental Beasts and lead them towards Ajax.

Meanwhile, the 50 evolved Flaming Monkeys remained on standby.

Whenever a new group of Emperor Realm Elemental Beasts arrived, Ajax would evolve them and toss them onto the shore, while Protos would order his Flaming Monkeys to attack.

’This is much more efficient!’

Ajax watched as the entire process continued smoothly.

The Elemental Beasts in the Lava River were far more numerous than the remaining Flaming Monkeys in the forest.

Moreover, his new Elemental Beast Army was particularly suited to hunting in this environment.

The Volcanic Sharks and Fiery Lava Snakes could easily navigate the river and bring their prey towards Ajax, while the evolved Flaming Monkeys could quickly overwhelm their opponents.

Before long, the Lava River had become a perfect hunting ground for Protos.

However, even after killing twenty evolved Emperor Realm Elemental Beasts, Protos’ cultivation remained unchanged.

’Why hasn’t he broken through yet?’

Ajax wasn’t too worried, but he couldn’t help wondering how many more opponents Protos needed to defeat before increasing his cultivation.

Time continued to pass.

After six hours of continuous hunting, the 50 evolved Flaming Monkeys finally killed their hundredth evolved Emperor Realm Elemental Beast.

’Kacha!’

At that moment, a familiar system notification finally resounded in Ajax’s head.
