New Age Of Summoners

As Ajax was nurturing Protos in his own way, many things were happening throughout the Elemental Source Land.

Eleven days had passed since the beginning of the Second Round.

By now, all the participants in the Elemental Source Land, except for Ajax, had nurtured their newly acquired Elemental Spirits to the Elemental Spirit King Realm.

Some of the top participants, such as Kael Draven, Dorian Ashveil, and Selene Graves, had already nurtured their Elemental Spirits to the peak of the Elemental Spirit King Realm.

However, Elyndra Raith was even more monstrous.

A few hours ago, the Water Elemental Spirit she received in the Second Round had successfully broken through to the Level 1 Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm!

’From here on, reaching the Level 9 Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm is not a big deal.’

Looking at her Water Elemental Spirit, Elyndra was confident that it wouldn’t take long for it to reach the peak of the Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm.

After all, she had plenty of High-Level Spirit Stones and even Supreme-Level Spirit Stones, which were more valuable and of higher quality than High-Level Spirit Stones.

Moreover, compared to breaking through the major realms, the minor levels ranging from Level 1 to Level 9 were much easier to advance through with the right cultivation resources.

However, instead of feeling satisfied with her progress, Elyndra frowned.

’Why the hell hasn’t my Elemental Spirit awakened its Elemental Ascendance despite using the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals?’

She looked at the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystal in her hand before shifting her attention to her Water Elemental Spirit.

Usually, when an Elemental Spirit reached the peak of the Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm, it would have a chance to awaken its Elemental Ascendance naturally during battle.

However, this process was extremely difficult and time-consuming, and most Summoners didn’t want to waste their time waiting for their Elemental Spirits to awaken their Elemental Ascendance naturally.

Therefore, once their Elemental Spirits reached the Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm, they would use Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals to increase their awakening percentage.

As long as they had enough crystals, fully awakening an Elemental Spirit’s Elemental Ascendance was relatively easy.

This method had worked in both universes.

However, when Elyndra’s Water Elemental Spirit broke through to the Emperor Realm, she immediately tried using the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals.

To her surprise, the crystals showed no reaction whatsoever.

’Is it because it has only just broken through to the Emperor Realm? Should I increase its cultivation to the peak of the Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm first?’

’Or is it because this Elemental Spirit is still young and needs time to awaken its Elemental Ascendance?’

After thinking for a moment, Elyndra decided to continue nurturing her Water Elemental Spirit.

She took out a few Supreme-Level Spirit Stones and gave them to her Water Elemental Spirit.

”Let’s continue cultivating.”

Her Water Elemental Spirit obediently accepted the Spirit Stones and began absorbing their energy.

As for Elyndra, she closed her eyes and resumed cultivating.

Even though her cultivation had already reached the High-Level Emperor Realm and one of her Divine Rules was fully awakened, she still had three other Divine Rules that she wanted to fully awaken.

Therefore, she wasn’t going to waste her time worrying about the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals.

After all, she had already collected 300,000 Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals during the First Round and was tired of collecting them.

…

On the other hand, the other top participants were also focused on cultivating alongside their newly acquired Elemental Spirits.

”By the end of this Second Round, I have to fully awaken my second Divine Rule.”

”With the second Divine Rule, my battle prowess will further increase, and my chances of getting more resources in the Elemental Source Land will become even greater.”

Kael Draven and Dorian Ashveil had already nurtured their newly acquired Elemental Spirits to the peak of the Elemental Spirit King Realm.

Since both of them possessed multiple Divine Rules, they were also using this opportunity to increase their awakening percentages.

As for Selene Graves, she remained as mysterious as ever.

She had already nurtured her Elemental Spirit to the peak of the Elemental Spirit King Realm and spent most of her time cultivating in seclusion.

Unlike the other participants, who occasionally hunted Elemental Beasts for Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals, Selene and the other top participants had little to no interest in collecting them.

...

Meanwhile, the other participants had different priorities.

’Since my Elemental Spirit has already reached the King Realm, I can finally hunt the Elemental Beasts.’

’Compared to those monsters, I am just a loose cultivator. As long as I have enough Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals, I can easily ascend to the Heavenly Realm.’

’I need money to ascend.’

Most of them gave Spirit Stones to their newly acquired Elemental Spirits to help them increase their cultivation while hunting Elemental Beasts alongside their existing Elemental Spirits.

By now, all of their Elemental Spirits had reached the Elemental Spirit King Realm, which meant they had already passed the Second Round.

These participants knew they could not compete with the top participants and, thus, they preferred to hunt the Elemental Beasts.

’Even though the Divine Elemental Potions and the Divine Pearls are valuable, they are impossible to obtain, whereas the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals are easy to get.’

After all, the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals were still valuable resources for them.

However, none of these participants let their newly acquired Elemental Spirits participate in their hunts for Elemental Beasts.

If they let their new Elemental Spirits personally hunt the Elemental Beasts, not only would the Elemental Spirits increase their cultivation, but they would also increase their skill proficiency and even awaken new skills.

Most importantly, their Elemental Spirits could even awaken their Elemental Ascendance.

If they had done that, they might have secured a place among the top 10 in the Second Round.

...…

In a cave at the center of the Flaming Forest,

”Let’s see whether you can kill the Quasi-Divine Elemental Beast this time.”

’Summoning Master?’

Protos immediately understood that the mysterious boost came from his Summoning Master’s power, which was increasing his battle prowess.

’With this power, I can kill it.’

He clenched his fists and focused on his opponent.

The bloodline boost continued increasing his battle prowess until the additional enhancement reached 1,000 percent.

That’s right!

The Abyssal Beast God’s Bloodline was a very powerful bloodline that Ajax had awakened in the early stages. He had later merged it with other bloodlines and upgraded it to its current level.

Currently, it would boost Ajax’s battle prowess, along with that of his Contracted Spirit Beasts, by 20 times, whereas the Elemental Spirits would receive a tenfold boost in their battle prowess.

Combined with his existing boosts from Elemental Ascendance and Great Fire Blessing, Protos’s battle prowess reached 13.5 times its normal level.

’This should be more than enough to kill it!’

Protos raised his hand and gathered the Fire Essence of Nature around him.

[Inferno Flame Bullet]!

Unlike his previous attacks, this time, the fire bullet condensed in front of him was noticeably more powerful.

The flames around it spun rapidly, forming a sharp, blazing projectile that seemed capable of piercing through anything in its path.

’Swiish!’

The fire bullet shot towards the Quasi-Divine Flaming Monkey.

This time, instead of sinking harmlessly into its crystalline body, the bullet pierced straight through it.

’Puchi!’

The Quasi-Divine Flaming Monkey’s body trembled violently as a hole appeared in its abdomen, causing it to awaken.

Before it could react, Protos released another fire bullet.

’Boom!’

The attack completely shattered its crystalline body.

In the next second, its corpse dispersed into countless tiny specks of light.

One of the specks of light flew towards Ajax, and a Fragment of the Divine Pearl appeared in his hand.

However, Ajax’s attention was focused on the system notifications that had appeared in his mind, as he checked the rewards Protos had received for killing a Quasi-Divine Elemental Beast for the first time.

[The host’s Elemental Spirit, Protos, has killed a Quasi-Divine Elemental Beast for the first time.]

[The proficiency of the Elemental Spirit’s skill, [Great Fire Blessing], has increased greatly.]

[The proficiency of the Elemental Spirit’s skill, [Heavenly Fire Burst], has increased significantly.]

’As expected!’

Ajax’s eyes shone with excitement.

Not only had Protos finally killed a Quasi-Divine Elemental Beast, but he had also received substantial rewards for his achievement.

Moreover, [Great Fire Blessing] had received the greatest improvement.

’This is only the beginning.’

Ajax smiled as he looked at the increasing number of system notifications he received.

[The host’s Elemental Spirit has broken through to the Level 1 Elemental Spirit King Realm.]

[The host’s special title, [Elemental Spirit Master], has been triggered.]

[The Elemental Spirit is in the process of awakening a Divine Talent (1/100).]

[Note: When the progress reaches 1,000, the Divine Talent will be awakened.]

’T-this… a Divine Talent?’
