[The skill proficiency of [Inferno Flame Arrow] has increased greatly and advanced from Basic to Mastery.]

[The skill proficiency of [Flame Explosion] has increased greatly and advanced from Mastery to Perfection.]

The other two rewards were increases in the skill proficiency of Protos’s two skills.

The skill proficiencies of Elemental Spirits were classified into five stages: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Mastery, and Perfection.

Depending on the skill proficiency, the power of a skill changed. The higher the stage, the greater the power.

’The proficiency of [Inferno Flame Arrow] has increased by three stages in one go.’

[Inferno Flame Arrow] was a skill that had evolved twice, making it much harder to improve its proficiency. However, the proficiency of such a high-level skill had directly advanced from Basic to Mastery.

’With such high proficiency, I think Protos can kill the Flaming Monkeys even without the boost from his Unique Skill, [Flame Body].’

Earlier, when [Inferno Flame Arrow] was still at the Basic stage, Protos could kill a Low-Level King Realm Flaming Monkey after several attacks.

Now that its proficiency had reached the Mastery stage, Ajax believed Protos could kill them with ease.

’And [Flame Explosion] has reached Perfection, just one step away from evolving.’

Whenever a skill’s proficiency reaches Perfection, it has a chance of evolving, just like how [Flame Arrow] evolved into [Advanced Flame Arrow], which later evolved into [Inferno Flame Arrow].

At the Perfection stage, a skill’s power increased to a terrifying level, allowing it to even injure King Realm Elemental Beasts.

Earlier, before activating [Flame Body], [Flame Explosion] could only push the Flaming Monkeys back a few meters. However, now it could cause severe damage to them.

’Is it because Protos killed the Flaming Monkey on his own without my help that there were more rewards this time?’

After checking the rewards, Ajax wondered why there had been such a sudden increase in the benefits.

Until now, whenever Protos killed the unconscious Flaming Monkeys, he would only get a single reward, which was a slight increase in the proficiency of his skills.

But now, the skill proficiency of his two skills had increased by multiple stages rather than just slightly.

However, he quickly guessed that it was because Protos had fought on his own to kill the Flaming Monkey.

’If that’s the case, I should let him kill more Flaming Monkeys.’

Coming to that conclusion, Ajax wanted Protos to kill more Flaming Monkeys while his [Flame Body] was still active.

So, he shouted, ”Protos, go and wreck...”

However, before Ajax could even finish his words, he found that Protos was already missing.

[Inferno Flame Arrow]!

’Swiish!’

[Flame Explosion]!

’Boom!’

Nevertheless, Ajax could hear Protos’s excited voice, followed by a series of explosions.

’This little brat...’

Ajax shook his head with a smile and focused on Protos’s movements.

Meanwhile, the system notifications continued ringing in his head.

[The host’s Elemental Spirit, Protos, has killed an Elemental Beast.]

[The Elemental Spirit, Protos, has broken through to the Level 3 Elite Elemental Spirit Soldier Realm.]

[The skill proficiency of [Inferno Flame Arrow] has increased greatly and advanced from Mastery to Perfection.]

[The host’s Elemental Spirit, Protos, has killed an Elemental Beast.]

[The Elemental Spirit, Protos, has broken through to the Level 4 Elite Elemental Spirit Soldier Realm.]

Soon, a series of system notifications rang in Ajax’s head. However, he didn’t bother checking them one by one. Instead, he kept a close watch on Protos.

Even though Protos now had the power to kill King Realm Flaming Monkeys, his defensive capabilities were still weak.

Even a General Realm creature could kill him instantly with a sneak attack, not to mention the King Realm Flaming Monkeys.

’They are scared of me, but they aren’t scared of him.’

For Elemental Beasts, Summoners and Elemental Spirits were delicious prey. Not only were they tasty, but consuming them could also increase their battle prowess.

Moreover, Protos was just an Elemental Spirit Child, making him an especially tempting target for the Elemental Beasts.

So, no matter how fearful they were of Ajax, they wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to eat their favourite prey.

’Swiish!’

”Summoning Master, I’m done!”

Once the two-minute duration of [Flame Body] ended, Protos stopped hunting the Flaming Monkeys.

”Go and rest now.”

By then, Protos had completely depleted his Essence of Nature, which had been restored by his Divine Skill. However, to use the skill again, he needed to wait for 24 hours.

Therefore, Ajax sent him into the Divine Inner World to recover.

’Let’s check the rewards now.’

After sending Protos into the Divine Inner World, Ajax opened his interface and smiled as he examined the information.

[Elemental Spirit Name: Protos (Fire)]

[Cultivation: Level 9 Elite Elemental Spirit Soldier]

[Skills: Inferno Flame Arrow (Perfection), Flame Explosion (Perfection), Fire Wall (Mastery)]

[Unique Skill: Flame Body (Max)]

[Note: Unique Skills have maximum proficiency from the beginning.]

[Divine Skill: Unyielding Flame]

[Elemental Ascendance: 100 Percent (Increases battle prowess by three times)]

’His cultivation has increased from Level 2 to Level 9 Elite Elemental Spirit Soldier, and he has awakened a new skill whose proficiency has already reached Mastery.’

From the earlier system notifications, Ajax had learned that every time Protos killed an Elemental Beast, his cultivation would increase by one level, along with an increase in his skill proficiency.

Moreover, he had awakened another skill, [Fire Wall], which had already reached the Mastery stage.

’It’s been less than three hours since he hatched from the Elemental Spirit Orb, and he is already close to breaking through to the Commander Realm.’

Although most of the other participants’ Elemental Spirits were close to breaking through to the General Realm, Ajax was proud of Protos’s progress.

He was especially proud of the number of skills Protos had awakened and the proficiency he had achieved in them.

’While Protos recovers, I will collect some Fragments of the Divine Pearls.’

Ajax didn’t forget about the Divine Pearls.

Until now, Ajax had stayed close to Protos while training him and couldn’t hunt Elemental Beasts for Divine Pearl Fragments.

However, now that Protos was recovering, he could focus on collecting those fragments again.

After all, there were countless Flaming Monkeys in the Flaming Forest, and Ajax had already discovered an efficient way to obtain Divine Pearls from them.

’Let’s see how many I can collect this time.’

With that thought, Ajax left Protos to recover and resumed his hunt.

...

Time continued to pass, and in a flash, ten days had passed.
