[The Elemental Spirit has killed an Elemental Beast of the same element as him.]

[Congratulations! Your Elemental Spirit has awakened his Elemental Ascendance (10 Percent).]

The latest system notifications came as a huge shock to Ajax.

’An Elemental Spirit at the Soldier Realm has awakened its Elemental Ascendance?’

Generally, an Elemental Spirit awakened its Elemental Ascendance after reaching the Emperor Realm.

However, Protos was only at the Level 9 Elemental Soldier Realm.

So, how could he not be shocked by it?

What’s more, he had awakened not just one percent but 10 percent of his Elemental Ascendance, which was even more unbelievable.

’So, when an Elemental Spirit kills an Elemental Beast, it increases the Elemental Spirit’s Elemental Ascendance awakening percentage?’

Thanks to the system notifications, Ajax realised that Protos’s achievement was related to killing the Flaming Monkey.

Of course, the Elemental Spirit had to kill an Elemental Beast of the same element for this effect to occur.

’Interesting... interesting.’

Ajax’s eyes lit up as he considered this new discovery.

’If my guess is correct, the Third Round will be related to awakening the Elemental Spirits’ Elemental Ascendance.’

For the current round, the participants only needed to nurture their Elemental Spirits to the Elemental Spirit King Realm to pass.

Until an Elemental Spirit reached the Emperor Realm, no Summoner would think about the Elemental Ascendance.

’If not for the system notifications, even I might not have noticed the awakening of Protos’ Elemental Ascendance.’

So, there was no way the other participants would notice this effect either.

Since the Elemental Spirits would reach the King Realm in the Second Round, the Third Round would naturally involve nurturing these Elemental Spirits further.

At least, that was what Ajax believed, considering his understanding of the mastermind’s intentions.

After all, if the mastermind wanted to collect powerful Elemental Spirits, helping them awaken their Elemental Ascendance would be another reasonable step.

’Anyway, let’s focus on the current round for now.’

Ajax shook his head and stopped thinking about the future rounds.

Instead, he focused on Protos’s rewards other than the awakening of his Elemental Ascendance.

’First is the skill evolution. His [Flame Arrow] has evolved into [Advanced Flame Arrow].’

Ajax was not surprised by this evolution.

After repeatedly using [Flame Arrow] and improving his control over the Fire Essence of Nature, Protos had gained a much better understanding of the skill.

Naturally, it had evolved into an advanced version.

Ajax checked the skill’s information.

[Skill Name: Advanced Flame Arrow]

[Effects: By using Essence of Nature, the user can summon multiple spinning arrows to attack the target simultaneously.]

[The greater the number of arrows summoned, the lower the damage dealt by each arrow.]

’Great! He can create multiple arrows at once.’

Ajax smiled in satisfaction.

Previously, Protos could only summon one Flame Arrow at a time.

However, with [Advanced Flame Arrow], he could summon multiple arrows simultaneously and launch them at his opponent.

Although the damage of each arrow would decrease as their number increased, this skill would be useful when fighting multiple enemies.

Moreover, Protos could use this skill to concentrate his attacks on a single target or spread them across several targets, depending on the situation.

Besides, Protos could also use a single Flame Arrow, which would obviously be very powerful.

’Not bad.’

Ajax nodded before checking Protos’s second reward.

’This new skill is thanks to my title.’

If the evolution of [Flame Arrow] was the reward for Protos’s training, the second skill was the reward of Protos’s training combined with Ajax’s special title, [Elemental Spirit Master].

’Protos’s talent and luck are on the same level as Volcanis.’

Among all his Elemental Spirits, only Volcanis had previously triggered this extremely small probability associated with Ajax’s special title and learned a cultivation technique.

Moreover, Volcanis was also a Fire Elemental Spirit just like Protos.

Therefore, Ajax couldn’t help comparing Protos’s talent and luck to Volcanis’s.

It wasn’t just about talent.

Sometimes, even with exceptional talent, one needed sufficient luck to obtain unexpected opportunities.

And Protos had managed to obtain two astonishing rewards from a single battle.

’Let’s check his new skill.’

Ajax turned his attention to the newly awakened skill.

[Skill Name: Flame Explosion]

[Effects: The user can condense Fire Essence of Nature into a concentrated flame and detonate it, releasing a powerful burst of destructive energy.]

’Excellent.’

Ajax was satisfied with the skill.

Although [Flame Explosion] was a relatively straightforward offensive skill, it could become extremely powerful as Protos’s cultivation increased.

With [Advanced Flame Arrow] for attacking enemies from a distance and [Flame Explosion] for delivering explosive damage, Protos’s combat abilities had improved considerably.

’Not bad at all.’

Ajax closed the system window and waited for Protos to finish experiencing the changes brought about by his skill awakening and the awakening of his Elemental Ascendance.

Soon, Protos opened his eyes.

”Congratulations on your first kill, Protos.”

Ajax smiled and congratulated him.

”It’s all thanks to your training, Summoning Master.”

From the beginning, Ajax had provided him with Spirit Stones, captured Flaming Monkeys for his training, and guided him in improving his [Flame Arrow] skill.

Without Ajax’s help, Protos would never have been able to kill a King Realm Elemental Beast so soon after his birth.

Therefore, Protos gave all the credit to Ajax.

”That is true, but it’s also a fact that you worked hard.”

Ajax smiled and praised him for his efforts.

Despite being an Elemental Spirit Child, Protos had followed every instruction without complaining, even when it seemed impossible for him to damage the Flaming Monkey.

His perseverance had finally paid off.

”Protos, are you ready for your second kill?”

After their brief exchange, Ajax asked him with a smile.

According to Ajax’s original nurturing plan, Protos was due to break through to the Elite Elemental Soldier Realm.

However, after seeing the rewards he had obtained from his first kill, Ajax was curious whether Protos could gain even more benefits by killing additional Elemental Beasts.

”Yes, Summoning Master!”

Protos was equally excited to test his newfound battle skills.
