Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

No matter how gentle he acted, she always maintained a cold and indifferent demeanor, which drove him crazy.

”Young Master Yao, do you prefer boys or girls?” Xia Qingqian hid half of her face behind the thick book and quietly asked him.

Beitang Yao paused for a moment, delighted to finally hear her speak without simply responding perfunctorily. He pulled at the corner of his mouth and smiled, ”As long as they’re yours, I love them all.”

Xia Qingqian stared at the smile spilling from the corner of his mouth in a daze, her expression beginning to blur. This man seemed different somehow, but even she couldn’t pinpoint how.

”Young Master Yao, are you serious? Don’t men usually prefer boys more?” From the perspective of traditional Chinese thinking, men always preferred women to give birth to boys for them.

”Certainly not, if it’s a boy, he’s bound to be mischievous, whereas girls are generally more gentle.” Beitang Yao softened his voice and said, ”Moreover, as long as they’re yours, I will love them all. As long as they are our children, I will cherish them dearly.”

”Really?” Xia Qingqian looked at Beitang Yao, somewhat excited, a little incredulous.

Beitang Yao nodded forcefully, ”Do you think I’m joking?”

Xia Qingqian shook her head, laughed awkwardly, and said, ”You don’t seem to be joking, but I still want to give you a son.”

Beitang Yao was somewhat confused, he said it didn’t matter what they had just to comfort her and made sure she wasn’t too worried. Besides, he truly didn’t mind.

”Why do you want to give me a son, aren’t daughters good too?” Beitang Yao gently asked her.

”Sons know how to care for their mothers, they will definitely try their best to protect them.” Xia Qingqian opened the book and softly spoke. Recently, Huan downloaded several movies for her, all about devoted sons from loving mothers.

Listening to this, Beitang Yao couldn’t help but twitch his lips slightly, and the hands hugging Xia Qingqian instantly stiffened.

”Does this mean you don’t plan to forgive me?” He looked at her and said with endless grievance.

She slowly raised her head to look at him, smiled faintly, and said, ”I don’t have the right to not forgive you, besides, there’s no need to do such thankless tasks.”

He silently cursed in his heart, this woman was surrounded by thorns, preventing him from getting close. It was truly suffocating!

”Then what do you mean?” He suppressed his inner agitation and gritted his back teeth to ask.

”Young Master Yao, I don’t mean anything, I just don’t want to be hurt by you again!” Her eyes were all mild, without a ripple.

He slightly leaned forward, pulled the book from her hand, looked at her deeply, and said in a deep voice, ”Do you really not consider my proposal to be anything?”

Xia Qingqian frowned, her gaze fell on her shoulder, looking at his large hand, she spoke softly, ”Young Master, I’m afraid of accepting it, you offer too much! I can’t bear it.”

”Is it that you can’t bear it, or don’t want it?” He stretched out his long fingers, gently lifting her chin, forcing her to look at him.

Xia Qingqian raised her hand, placing it before his eyes, and gently said, ”This ring and bracelet, when I took them off, I planned to return them to you.”

He was somewhat frightened by her behavior, hurriedly saying, ”Qian Qian, would you really not allow me in your heart? Do you really refuse to forgive me?”

She looked at him, her hand cupping his handsome face, shaking her head with a gentle smile, ”It’s only you who should not choose others, others will not choose to leave you, nor do they have the ability to do so, right?”
