Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”Sister Xia, you’ve been having insomnia recently. Seeing you sleep so soundly, I couldn’t bear to wake you up.” Xiao Fen said with concern.

”Xiao Fen, I don’t want to see him. Can you ask Huan to distract him and make him leave, please?” Xia Qingqian blamed them for not waking her up. If they did, she would have gotten up earlier and started working in the fields, avoiding seeing him.

”Ah, Sister Xia, I thought you’d be happy, but I didn’t expect you to have such an expression.” Xiao Fen frowned, wondering if she was hearing things. Was Sister Xia really going to refuse Young Master Yao?

Xia Qingqian’s face wasn’t looking good, and she urged Xiao Fen, ”Xiao Fen, quickly go find Miss Huan.”

Xiao Fen nodded, uttered an ”oh,” and went out.

Xia Qingqian walked into the bathroom. Ten minutes later, when she opened the bathroom door, she widened her eyes at the man standing before her and twitched her mouth, ”Why... why are you here?”

”I’m here to take you home.” The man took a few steps forward, reached out, and grasped Xia Qingqian’s waist, leaning down to gaze deeply at her.

The familiar male scent immediately filled her senses, causing her heart to beat uncontrollably, unable to calm down for a long time.

She wanted to push him away but found herself lacking the strength to do so, her breath becoming strained, ”Young Master Yao, don’t do this.”

”Are you saying you don’t want to leave with me and want to stay here?” he said flatly, his face also expressionless, making it hard to tell what he was thinking.

Xia Qingqian looked up at him, a hint of fear rising in her heart. This man was the one she wanted to be with day and night, but she also feared the harm he might bring her.

”Young Master Yao, I want to stay here for a peaceful pregnancy,” she said, not daring to look at him and lowered her head instead.

He stretched out his long fingers, lifted her chin, and frowned, ”The child is mine, and I have the right to decide where he’s born.”

Xia Qingqian’s body stiffened as she slowly looked at him, bitterly smiled, ”You didn’t say that before; you said he was a bastard and I didn’t deserve your kindness anymore.”

These words, even harsher words, spilled from his mouth, and she kept them in her heart. They were like scars, scars that couldn’t be removed.

”Stop with this, come back with me.” Beitang Yao’s gaze was somewhat distant. Seeing her seem determined not to go back with him, he became a bit anxious and kissed her without saying a word, pressing heavily against her lips.

Xia Qingqian let out a muffled sound, her hands stiff in mid-air, standing motionless in place.

”Young Master Yao, let go of me first.” Xia Qingqian was noticeably unhappy, frowned, and pushed him as she spoke.

Beitang Yao noticed the unhappiness spreading across her face and her tired demeanor with a hint of weariness. His heart felt a bit uneasy, and he gazed deeply at her. After a while, he suddenly kneeled on one knee, holding a diamond ring with his fingers, and said affectionately, ”Qian Qian, I know I haven’t given you enough trust and made you suffer a lot. It’s normal for you not to pay attention to me after how I’ve treated you. But these days, seeing you go through this pain, my heart hurt too. Do you know how I’ve been living these days? Each night, I’m used to having you by my side. Every night, I struggle to sleep, my mind filled with thoughts of your kindness. I’m selfish, it’s that damned male pride, I shouldn’t have treated you that way. Now, give me a chance, to make it up to you and the baby, okay?”
