Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”Young Master Yao, can you please not say such things to me? I really don’t know which words I can listen to and which words I can’t. I’m afraid I’ll believe them once I hear them.” Her smiling face was almost covered in tears.

”Silly girl, don’t cry.” He lowered his head and kissed away the tears at the corner of her eyes, ”It’s not good for a pregnant woman to cry too much, it can easily stir up emotions. We’re practically married now, do you think I’d do something so heartless to you?”

Her tears told him he wasn’t a good man, always making her worry from time to time.

Hearing him say this, she quickly stopped crying, looked at him in a daze, still a little confused, and asked out of nowhere: ”Can I really become your wife? Will I receive your love and support?”

He nodded heavily, saying: ”I will love and care for you along with our child. I won’t let you suffer the slightest grievance, okay? Besides, didn’t I just swear an oath? I’m a normal man, I don’t want to be impotent for life.” How could he trap himself like this?

Xia Qingqian still couldn’t believe his words and suddenly acted a bit spoiled, stretching out her pinky finger, ”Let’s make a pinky promise.”

Beitang Yao raised an eyebrow looking at her, ”Why are you playing with such childish things too?” He thought she was different from other girls, it seemed that all women in the world were the same.

He shook his head with a silent laugh, yet extended his pinky finger, hooking it gently with hers: ”Now, is that okay?”

”We’ve made a pinky promise now, if you go back on it, you’ll turn into a puppy.” She steadily looked at his eyes which grew darker, a thrill coursing through her heart.

”Alright, if I go back on it, I’ll be a puppy.” He even doubted, do pregnant women’s thoughts change?

Xia Qingqian finally breathed a sigh of relief and then thought for a moment before saying: ”Young Master Yao, are you sure about this? I have no background, will the Beitang Family accept my existence?”

”Didn’t I tell you, I’m the master of this house? It’s my decision to marry a wife, they have no say.” As he said this, he intended to love her dearly, but was interrupted by a sudden sound.

He turned his attention to the source of the sound, ”Your stomach growled, are you hungry?” Or was she protesting against him?

Was she rejecting him?

Seeing her stomach grumble continuously, he certainly wouldn’t dare let her starve, now she was two in one body.

”I can do it myself.” Xia Qingqian pressed her hands against Beitang Yao’s chest, preventing him from holding her, ”I have legs, I can go downstairs myself.”

Letting him carry her down, she couldn’t bear it, with so many maids watching, he might not care about face, but she still did.

”Qian Qian, are you torturing me?” He wailed a bit, looking at Xia Qingqian frantically.

After Xia Qingqian got dressed, she looked at him calmly and said somewhat puzzled: ”How am I torturing you? I’m so heavy, not letting you carry me is to save you trouble, do you know how much I weigh now?”

”No matter how heavy, I can carry you, do you underestimate my strength?” Seeing she was dressed, he knew he couldn’t be satisfied for the moment, so he got out of bed and got dressed too, ”I’ll let Sister Huan come in to take you downstairs, I still have work to do, so I won’t be eating with you.”

Xia Qingqian paused while putting on her shoes, watching him put on his shirt, her brow slightly furrowed, ”I heard from Huan that you work day and night, is there not a single day you’re at rest?”
