Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”You’re really pathetic! If one day, Brother Yao stabbed you with a knife and then said ’I’m sorry, please forgive me,’ I bet you’d say ’It’s okay, I love you.’” Beitang Huan shivered as she said this, ”I can see you’re such a pathetic woman.”

Xia Qingqian seemed to be hit on the sore spot by Beitang Huan, pursing her lips and said, ”Huan, if you ever experience such a day, you’d understand how I feel right now.”

”So, you’re saying you don’t resent him at all for the various kinds of harm he’s done to you?” Beitang Huan widened her eyes in astonishment, staring blankly at her, as if waiting for Xia Qingqian’s answer.

Xia Qingqian picked up her bowl and handed it to Sister Huan, ”Sister Huan, I want to drink more.”

Sister Huan accepted it with a smile, ”Miss Huan, stop teasing Miss Qing Qian.” Most pregnant women are picky about food, but Xia Qingqian is different; she’ll eat anything for the sake of the child in her belly.

”Sister Huan, do you also think I’m teasing her? You’ve seen it over these days, haven’t you?” Beitang Huan put down the chopsticks, raised an unhappy eyebrow, ”If it were me, I would never forgive Brother Yao for what he did.”

”Huan, I’m not you, and you’re not me. I can’t be as carefree as you. I’ve always been indecisive. Even if I don’t think about myself, I have to think about the child. I can’t be that selfish, right?” Xia Qingqian’s lips curled into a faint smile.

Beitang Huan smiled knowingly, ”I know, for the baby’s sake, you have to act this way. Otherwise, I’d really be upset with you.”

”Sister Huan, is swollen feet a sign of impending birth?” Xia Qingqian looked at her swollen ankles, asking Sister Huan worriedly.

Sister Huan heard this, walked over, and squatted in front of Xia Qingqian, ”Oh my, why didn’t I notice this? It’s indeed a sign of impending birth. Look at how swollen your feet are! When I had my son, I wasn’t as swollen as you are.”

Xia Qingqian wanted to move, but her belly suddenly cramped, she hastily held her belly, her brow furrowing tightly.

”Sister Huan! My belly hurts! It’s cramping!” Xia Qingqian grasped Sister Huan’s hand tightly, saying through gritted teeth.

Sister Huan quickly stood up and gently placed her hand on Xia Qingqian’s round belly, soothingly, ”Miss Qing Qian, it’s okay; pregnant women experience this.”

”No, at night when I’m sleeping, my feet cramp too, and I can’t move at all.” Xia Qingqian’s face was pale, ”This started happening since my belly began to show.”

”It’s nothing, Miss Qing Qian, don’t scare yourself. I said it’s okay, so it’s okay. You just focus on nurturing the pregnancy and don’t worry about anything else.” Sister Huan quickly comforted Xia Qingqian.

Upon hearing this, Xia Qingqian’s belly gradually eased the cramping sensation, her body relaxed, and she loosened her grip on Sister Huan’s hand.

In general, swelling of the feet is a sign of impending birth, but Xia Qingqian’s due date is two months away, so why are her feet so swollen?

After the meal, Beitang Huan helped Xia Qingqian back to her room, pulled up a chair, sat nearby, and said, ”Qian Qian, you seem to have something on your mind? Tell me, I’ll help you figure it out.”

Xia Qingqian contemplated for a long time, raised her hand, and revealed a diamond ring in front of Beitang Huan, softly saying, ”This is the ring that Young Master Yao gave me, he proposed to me.”
