Our Family Has Fallen

Chapter 1352: Chapter 734: Preparation

”Class dismissed!”

Lance raised his hand with a smile, and it was only then that the students who had gathered around seemed to snap out of a dream, listening to Lord’s lecture was simply a pleasure.

The teaching method wasn’t confined to the textbook; it was full of fun so even a child like Mary could easily understand, feeling a sense of knowledge rushing into their minds.

It truly allows them to experience the joy of learning.

In a simple class, Lance couldn’t teach them much, but he could start them off, plant a Seed, and leave the tool of ”science” to dissect the world.

Lance didn’t hurry to leave but rather descended to walk among the students, able to casually call out their names and chat with them as if asking about their life and studies, and whether they encountered any difficulties or if anything interesting happened.

The students were also willing to share seemingly trivial matters with him, and Lance was patient enough to listen carefully.

There weren’t many of them, as they were the focus of cultivation Lance naturally remembered them, and he knew that most of them were lively and active at this age, being suppressed by study for too long was indeed a risk.

This was the perfect opportunity to relieve their stress, a sort of therapy through conversation.

The education of hardship is a highly failed approach because they are truly in hardship.

Most here were rescued by Lance from refugees, can you guess what kind of strong stimulus would awaken their talents?

In hardship, what they need most is not to chew on pain and swallow it down, but to have hope.

Lance advocated more for optimism, when facing increasing difficulties one must be optimistic, only then can one come out of the predicament.

He can’t remember how he felt on the old path, but he surely endured the pressure with optimism, otherwise he wouldn’t have come this far.

Damn ancestors!

Lance was surrounded by the students, his words were witty and funny, making the students laugh endlessly, and their interaction felt free of any distance between a Lord or noble and commoners, which was very special.

At least for Margaret, this held true, although her father had a good reputation in Bastia, not oppressing peasants, managing the territory with love from the people, he couldn’t achieve this.

”Go play, I’ll give you a day off today!”

”Yay!”

Previously drowsy in class, Mary immediately threw her hands up and cheered, causing Lance to laugh, and others began to laugh along.

However, her brother Tom couldn’t laugh, he raised a hand to pat his forehead, looking helpless because he had to watch his sister.

A noisy crowd left the class, but there was still a portion like Isaac, whose personality tended to favor library study over frolic, cherishing the opportunity given by the Lord, mature enough to cause one to feel a bit heartache.

”I’m really not suitable to manage them, when will you let me out?”

Margaret wasn’t stupid, she knew Lance brought her back to protect her, but she didn’t need this kind of protection.

”Have you finished studying? Don’t waste your talent, and learning to control it can reduce the pressure you bear, at the very least reduce the possibility of losing control, you should know the risk.”

Lance skilfully diverted the topic without answering directly, leaving Margaret a bit speechless, but she understood the nightmares haunting her, which made her stay and sparked her curiosity about Supernatural Power.

”But my study progress is faster than those students, differing progress wastes a lot of time.”

”Isn’t that just right? Only like this you can teach them to consolidate knowledge after class, otherwise for an ordinary person, I’d worry about lacking this ability.”

Lance was adept at defense, arguing with him was impossible, such talent for words was unbeatable.

Margaret retreated, helplessly left, leaving only Amanda silent since class.

”Is the operation going smoothly?” Amanda tentatively asked, knowing only from witnessing the dungeon what horrible enemies Lance faced.

”The operation is going smoothly, expected to resume normal soon, just a few small issues, all under control.”

When Extreme Darkness descended, she didn’t flee, overcoming the limits of the Romani people, effectively dealing with the chaos, proving loyalty, so Lance didn’t mind her few flaws.

Having staked everything on Lance, she couldn’t help but overthink, Lance’s calm and confident demeanor greatly alleviated Amanda’s anxiety.

The pressure in her heart instantly dissipated, Amanda’s mood quickly recovered.

”Do you have time? I have a research topic to discuss with you.”

Lance realized staying in dark environments for a long time indeed makes emotions melancholic, an important issue worth researching.

”This research topic sounds great, research more to progress.” Amanda said, wrapping her arm around Lance’s, ”Come, let’s go home.”

Seeing her demeanor, Lance couldn’t help but smile wryly and followed her, only when the door shut did Lance continue speaking.

”Do you remember the blood water in the dungeon flowing like a river? I plan to refine it with the Blood Chalice, but the scholar thinks the effect seems unstable, do you have any suggestions?”
