Our Family Has Fallen

Chapter 1215: Chapter 667: Battle

The Head Clerk hiding in the back was stunned for a moment when he saw this scene, his gaze fell on the guard lying on the ground.

One could see a large dent in the armor in front, with blood seeping out, indicating the flesh below and even the entire abdominal cavity had ruptured.

A single kick could break the spinal cord of an armored Sentinel Knight, shatter flesh and blood — what kind of monster is this?

But Lance approaching won’t give him much space to think; those cultists may be fearless of death, yet they couldn’t stand in the way.

With no choice, the Head Clerk pointed his magic wand at the Ascension Sentinel.

Immortal Blood and Flesh!

The Head Clerk’s previous spells had no effect not because he was really weak, but because he encountered the oddity that is Lance.

Actually, that powerful force was far stronger than the previous some heretical witches encountered.

The incapacitated evil cult Sentinel was actually pulled up by him, his broken spine healing, the exploded abdomen regenerating, the powerful flesh even slightly raising the dented armor, then standing up with a half-exposed intestine...

”Damnation!”

But before Lance could act, a roar came, Boudica had already dealt with those in the back and grabbed her weapon rushing forward.

Just in time to meet the evil cult Sentinel rising, she swung her axe down.

The axe blade collided with the armor, making a dull thud, but it was stopped at the shoulder. However, Boudica pulled back, the embedded axe blade despite being blocked, tore out an exaggerated wound, the briefly recovered body bled again.

Lance didn’t really pay much attention to this scene, because as soon as Boudica rushed up, he continued advancing, complementing each other, this is called tacit understanding.

”Ha, an expert, everyone retreat quickly!”

The Head Clerk could no longer bear it upon seeing this scene, he was not like those foolish believers, having self-awareness from exposure to the Ascension Sect’s core secrets.

They pursued ascension for real ascension, not to deceive those lower-tiered believers.

Like a god-believing priest who fools not to fear death since there’s heaven.

But actually, the priest knows better than anyone else there’s no heaven after death, likewise, death is absolutely not ascension.

But wanting to retreat at this moment?

Then why did you run over so fast just now?

Lance lunged up with a slash, didn’t expect him to use the magic wand to block it, looking like he strengthened himself with spells.

But Lance needed to teach him a lesson, that spellcasters should never go hand-to-hand with a melee fighter.

Raising his hand, he grabbed the magic wand and swung the blade down, ending his fear almost instantly.

Don’t be afraid, I’ll send you to ascension!

Sacrificing the corpse resulted in no surprise, a very mediocre spiritual blessing, hardly eliciting a ripple for Lance.

Once the Head Clerk died, the surrounding cultists’ momentum was also hit, losing their sorcery’s reinforcement, their fervor started to decline.

But to Lance, there was simply no difference, they were all targets for a slash.

Under the siege of Boudica and others, the evil cult Sentinel was also knocked down, his armor significantly more damaged, with knife cuts and axe swings looking quite tragic but played its role.

Lance didn’t say a word as he sacrificed the remaining corpses, but the strong stench had already started to permeate the air, the ground gave a sticky feel underfoot.

The sound merely attracted a wave of cultists, but the blood...

There were many rooms on both sides of the corridor, Lance didn’t know what was inside, only saw cultists streaming out continuously.

But no one wanted to reason with these deranged folks, they could only understand the critique of weapons.

”You guys clear the rooms, I’ll hold them off.” Lance didn’t hesitate as he grabbed his knife and rushed up.

Those cultists surged like a tide, almost filling the corridor’s originally ample space.

In an instant, knives chopped, axes swung, even sorcery curses, poisonous fog, all cast onto Lance at once.

But Lance wasn’t a steadfast rock being washed by tides, he was a shark swimming against the current, opening his sharp teeth towards those guys.

Determined to sever, slice, and chop the enemy!

In front of Lance, their proudly held blood flesh power was simply a joke; void would erase their existence from reality.

And Boudica and the others followed through, the fierce battle made everyone forget other emotions, leaving only one — to eliminate the enemy.

Cultists stormed out from the rooms on both sides of the corridor, Lance advanced and eliminated most, but there might still be oversights, that’s their task.

Break open the door to take a quick look, if none then move to the next, if there is an enemy then directly eliminate them.

Their clearing speed couldn’t even keep up with Lance’s advance; when they were still halfway, Lance had already fought from one end of the corridor to the other.

Lance didn’t show a hint of fatigue, on the contrary, the aura surrounding him grew stronger.

Instead, those cultists lost powerful spellcaster’s support, facing Lance had to bear the pressure of that will, the pressure emerging in their hearts, even piercing the sealed forbidden zones in their brains.

Fear!

This was supposed to be a massacre, only with a slight difference from their plan, which was that they, meant to eliminate the intruders, became the ones being slaughtered.

If Lance knew what they thought, he’d surely have a complaint.
