Our Family Has Fallen

Chapter 1119: Chapter 619: Traitor

”Bring them up.”

At Lance’s command, the people were immediately brought out.

A few guys who didn’t look too bright, the oldest maybe in his twenties, the youngest just teenagers, wearing very simple clothes, that slack appearance not resembling real mercenaries, more like a group of local thugs.

”You guys are quite something, charging protection fees to me.”

Lance said this while laughing, because the whole thing was quite absurd.

It was interesting, these punks actually went to the casino, perhaps seeing no one guarding it, and got greedy.

They weren’t there to rob or cheat, they actually approached the manager saying they wanted to guard the place, in other words, to collect protection fees.

It’s hilarious, who the hell doesn’t know this casino is owned by the Lord?

After the casino manager placated them, they immediately contacted the sheriff, who swiftly brought in these scumbags.

But why was it so difficult to deal with them?

Because... damn it, it wasn’t the first time.

Caught twice before, locked up for a few days, and back at it again.

But they hadn’t done anything tangible, just harassed, which according to the rules made serious punishment difficult, so only a few days, and this was their third time jailed.

If this was any other casino, they would have been beaten up by the first time, and sunk in the sea by the second.

Instead, the sheriff didn’t hit them the first time just due to rule restrictions, only detained them for a few days.

Wasn’t this kind of punishment just nothing to them?

After all, getting caught only meant a few days’ detention, making them even more brazen, thus here they were on the second and third attempts.

”Who’s the leader?” Lance looked at them, his smile unchanged.

Seeing him smile, those unfamiliar criminals also started smiling, but the police were dead serious.

”You haven’t met me yet.” One person in the group answered, his smile decidedly sleazy, eyes cunning like a rat’s.

”The confession on the file has no issues, right? Your fingerprints are on it too.” Lance wasn’t concerned, instead going through the motions, holding up the document for him to see.

”Yes, it’s me.” He said this with a bizarre sense of pride, he was the first to exploit the loophole.

The young men looked at the leader with admiration, the leader was indeed strong, following him promised a bright future!

”Great, I like your attitude in owning up, saved us quite a bit of work.”

Looking at him, Lance nodded in satisfaction, then directly delivered the sentence.

”Endangering Hamlet, exceptionally heinous circumstances, three crimes charged together, leader sentenced to death, the rest to life labor reform.”

As these words were spoken, the previously cocky punks instantly deflated, somewhat unable to process it.

This... this situation isn’t right?

How did it lead to a death sentence?

Isn’t this contrary to the rules stated?

The fear of death already had him panicking, grasping at any potential lifeline.

”Don’t act like I’m ignorant, at most a few days locked up, a death sentence is not possible, trying to scare me? I’m going to complain about you not following protocol!”

”Who are you complaining to?” Lance smiled looking at his frantic yet angry expression.

”Wise up and let us go, or I’ll complain to your Lord!”

Lance just continued smiling as he watched him, ”Alright, what do you want to complain to me about?”

The thug leader naturally understood what this meant, the stranger in front of him was the Lord himself.

The noble status brought a bloodline suppression instantly affecting him, previously able to shout a few words, now unable to speak, face looking like death in the family, legs trembling.

”Speak, why aren’t you saying anything?” Lance in dead earnest reminded him, ”You should know what the penalty for slander is given your knowledge.”

”My Lord, have mercy!” He immediately knelt before Lance, wailing and begging for mercy, ”I was wrong...”

Attempting to move closer, truly thinking the police were figurines?

Especially those recently transferred from the military, him, a criminal, wanting to approach the Lord?

A swift kick, amid screams, knocked out two teeth, blood splattering the ground.

With the leader beaten, the others understood the situation, minds collapsing instantly, some even wetting themselves in terror.

”Honestly, everyone knows I don’t like seeing blood.” Lance looked at the bloodstains on the ground, slightly unhappy, reminding, ”Next time stay calm, this is a police station, not the military, violent interrogation is not permitted.”

”Yes!”

Only then did Lance turn to look at the guy, signaling him to speak.

”Speak, who sent you to cause trouble?”

In a panic, originally overwhelmed by the intense pain, his brain processed the words and looked up at Lance.

”Not speaking, huh? Hang him at the casino entrance, let’s see how many days he lasts before dying.”

Lance was lazy about wasting time on this trash, immediately shouting for them to be dragged away.

That small-time leader holding his mouth already looked even worse hearing that, wasn’t it rumored this Lord was a good person, really kind? Who the hell said that?

”I’ll talk! I’ll talk, it’s all...”

The leader couldn’t hold back any longer, starting to spill the beans on who hired him.
