Our Family Has Fallen

Chapter 1049: Chapter 584: Bay 6

Lance wanders through the bay, hoping to find more treasure from the Deep Divers.

When this quest turned from slaughter to treasure hunting, Lance’s enthusiasm was completely stirred up.

It’s the same thing, but as long as you change the reason, it immediately brings a huge difference. This is the difference between work and hobbies.

In reality, moving bricks is work, but in the game, moving bricks is fun.

Of course, more of it is due to Lance finding good things and discovering the profitability, bursting with enthusiasm, like a ”Brave” entering a village, is it fair to the villagers not to loot it?

But not encountering many good things, the frequency and intensity of those Deep Divers began to rise.

An unforeseen skirmish at the edge of the pool, Lance fought hard against the Shaman’s boost to the warrior, forcibly slashing him, just when he was about to target that Shaman again, the fight suddenly changed.

Under the Shaman’s summoning, the calm pool suddenly surged, and a huge figure of Tidestealer appeared, clearly reinforcements from the Deep Divers.

It was a gigantic, crab-like monster, covered in dark red heavy shell, entangled with some signs of human-made objects, barnacles attached to the shell, making it even more ferocious, while adding a layer of armor to the already hard-to-penetrate exterior.

While the shell can resist most damage making it feel helpless, more terrifying are its giant pincers, the exaggerated size leaving no doubt it could directly cut someone in half.

Its shape is similar to a crab but still has big differences.

Its head lacks the protruding eyes of a crab, and its mouth is different as well, with the entire head resembling more of a mantis with that insect-like inverted triangular head.

More directly, the Giant Pincer Tidestealer’s lower limb pointed legs are not low and stable but supported by insect-like slender legs, allowing not only lateral movement but also forward, backward, and even jumping, exhibiting a rapid posture exceeding its size.

Giant Pincer Tidestealer, a monster that Lance remembers clearly, not because it’s strong, but in the game classified as little brother, able to use characteristics to restore troop status.

But when all this is placed in reality, people discover the horror of such a giant.

Lance often eats sea crabs, and having felt the strength of ordinary crabs, knows how exaggerated the strength becomes when a monster is enlarged to this size.

Flesh and bone are not its limits; even steel-made armor might be torn by the Giant Pincers.

No one would want to try what getting pinched would feel like, not even Lance.

Riding the tidal surge, the giant crab went straight past the Shaman and guards, waving its giant pincers at Lance, with swift actions not even slightly cumbersome, living up to Tidestealer’s name.

Pincers cut arteries!

Lance retreated to avoid, turning to slash out and collide with the giant pincers, surprisingly creating a sound like steel clashing, feeling the shock feedback in his arm, Lance couldn’t help but be amazed.

Though he had already anticipated it, Wolf Fang’s sharp edge slashing onto it only left a white mark, showing just how sturdy the shell is!

The Giant Pincer Tidestealer showed no sign of stopping, with many pairs of pointed legs rapidly tapping the rock in a rhythmic dense sound approaching filled with oppression.

Seemingly realizing pinching agile Lance wouldn’t be easy, it now approached, swinging its giant pincers in a sweep, the over meter-long giant pincers bringing a distance advantage almost covering the umbrella-shaped area in front.

Tidal Smack!

Facing this move, Lance had no room to dodge, but he wasn’t planning to. Wolf Fang vanished from his hands, replaced by the Holy Warhammer.

Swinging it hard and crashing forward, it was a truly hard confrontation, bursting with intense noise upon contact.

”Boom!”

Clear like the sound of striking stone, yet that hit didn’t break the giant pincers’ armor, but the surging force gave the habitually lateral-moving Tidestealer a sense of crisis, facing an enemy it had never felt before.

However, the Shaman wasn’t just a decoration; its long-prepared Deep Sea Force infused, causing Tidestealer to launch fiercer attacks.

Except for Tidestealer’s repeated attacks being blocked by Lance, giving him enough reaction time, until that giant crab’s pincers again approached, a thick cannon barrel extended to its head.

That Giant Pincer Tidestealer instinctively pinched the barrel with its pincers, its small eyes staring at the dark cannon mouth somewhat puzzled?

Close-range cannon fire!

”Times have changed...”

Without waiting for Lance to finish mumbling, the fuse burned out, a shell explosion erupted, shaking the whole place, ears filled with the repeated thunder of space reverberation in a short time.

Shooting previously, Lance knew he couldn’t resist exaggerated recoil and had been forced back a few steps to stabilize.

But unexpectedly this time, the recoil was incredibly low, not even moving his steps.

Lance quickly understood why, for the Giant Pincer Tidestealer’s pincers gripping the barrel acted as a stand absorbing most of the force when firing.

Really, I’m crying.

Lance took a closer look, though those pincers still clamped the barrel, the Giant Pincer Tidestealer’s head had completely vanished, blown up by the shell.
