Our Family Has Fallen

Chapter 1004: Chapter 564: The Great Battle! (Part 2)

After Lance let go, that sensation quickly faded away, and Amanda, who wasn’t in bad shape herself, soon recovered. She realized it from the sound of her heavy breathing gradually calming down.

”What did you do to me!”

Amanda struggled to sit up, feeling a strong aversion to Lance’s inexplicable actions, but then she suddenly seemed to realize something and froze.

Clenching her fist, she felt the power surging within her body. Her initial questioning instantly turned into surprise.

Because she understood that she had finally stepped into the realm of the Master, and she couldn’t feel any aftereffects or abnormalities, as if she had broken through in a moment of passion.

”How did you do it?” Amanda responded with an excited face, turning to Lance.

”Why? Satisfied now?” Lance teased with a smile, not intending to explain, ”Didn’t you just ignore whatever I said before?”

”I thought... I... you...” Amanda was a bit embarrassed too, for a moment unsure of where to place her hands, fiddling awkwardly, unsure of what to say.

But Lance unceremoniously started to mock her.

”I shared my power with you, or what did you think it was?”

As he spoke, Lance deliberately forced her to meet his gaze, sweating all over?

He didn’t forget to make a jest.

”No kidding, do you think this little achievement of yours is enough to trade with me? Pure wishful thinking.”

Lance’s remark left Amanda flushed. The heat in her body hadn’t dissipated yet, and her back was already soaking wet. If the weather were a bit colder, you could probably see steam rising from her head.

But Lance didn’t care and just kept talking to himself.

”If you want to train in Casting Spells, then train in Casting Spells. If you want to train in physique, then train in physique. You’re always mixing them, and the fact that you’ve survived till now is quite a miracle.”

He’d just discovered something very interesting, which was that Amanda’s power system belonged to the ”want both” category, wanting to maintain combat ability while retaining spellcasting ability.

It could be understood as some degree of magical martial arts training, but a person’s energy is limited. That’s why she wasn’t inferior to Tamara in talent, yet she wasted her time here, struggling to break through that step.

But it was also because of this combination that she had a natural restraint against Spellcasters, and it was no wonder she could easily handle Tamara back then, even fearing no encounter with the Ascendant Saintess. One could say her strength wasn’t something simple to categorize by level.

However, Amanda didn’t listen to his words. Such a dismissive attitude provoked her anger, and she shouted before Lance could even finish praising her strength.

”I’ve contributed to Hamlet, I’ve bled for Hamlet, how am I not qualified? What qualification does Tamara have to go back? Just because she climbed into your bed?”

”Okay, okay, I was wrong. I admit my mistake.” Realizing he’d gone too far with his joke, Lance immediately raised his hands to signal surrender.

But in Amanda’s eyes, the concession had a different meaning.

Never forget the true nature of this woman.

The pride, dominance, and cunning from their first meeting, and the ruthlessness when she was beating Tamara.

She’d only temporarily curbed it after being thoroughly beaten by Lance and experiencing that wild power.

Now that her strength had suddenly increased, it was like the shackles on her loosened, her pride from the Romani upbringing compelled her to challenge this man before her.

Not to mention, Lance’s quick apology appeared weak, like turning his back on a beast, further igniting her hunter’s spirit.

Amanda, sitting on the ground, reached out to Lance, who saw no harm and reached out to pull her up.

But at that moment, Amanda unexpectedly struck. Although she excelled in throwing, her close combat skills were not weak either.

She grabbed Lance’s hand with a sudden tug. Her strong legs clamped around Lance’s feet and, with a rolling motion, she directly pulled him onto the ground.

Taking advantage of the return momentum, Amanda brought her full weight down, pinning Lance.

In a superior position, grinning with a bit of pride, ”Now, do you know who’s the boss?”

”You are! You are!” Lance lay on the carpet, looking up at the massive shadow looming above, almost blocking his eyes.

”Where are you looking?” Amanda laughed sinisterly, swinging a slap over, but it was caught by Lance before it landed.

”Hey! Don’t hit the face.”

Lance wasn’t concerned about his predicament. He acknowledged his joke had gone too far and refrained from resisting, not wanting to provoke Amanda. Otherwise, how could she possibly succeed?

Lance just let her vent for a bit, but this didn’t mean he would tolerate Amanda playing the ”Queen Game.”

That’s not my thing!

”Come on, let’s call it even.”

He patted her thigh, signaling her to get off, but Amanda persevered, and Lance’s resistance made her feel belittled, so she naturally continued her assault.

As he spoke, Lance felt her legs tightening around his waist. It’s important to know that Amanda’s agile physique was driven by those well-trained legs, the power of which was considerable.

An average person’s waist might have been broken, but Lance hardened his muscles like a rock, resisting the pressure without moving.

”Have you had enough fun yet? If it really gets heated, I won’t be responsible.”

Amanda felt the heat beneath her, the drifting consciousness seemed to return a bit, but now she was caught between a rock and a hard place. Reason couldn’t suppress her ego, and she reached for Lance’s vulnerable spot.

Was this something Lance could tolerate? He immediately exerted strength, the formidable power like a dragon turning over, easily breaking free from Amanda’s control, pushing her onto the carpet.

”You started this!”

Lately, he’d been entangled in various messy affairs, already carrying emotions, and now it was lit up completely.

”Who’s afraid of whom? I’m keen to see your mettle!” But Amanda wasn’t someone to take lightly, a major battle was inevitable...

If Grendel was like a jade sculpture of perfection, and Boudica full of beast-like power, Amanda was something else entirely.

Her facial features were striking, her contours delicate, her slightly wavy brown hair cascading like the waves, coupled with her brown skin, she looked dissimilar from the Empire with her exotic charm.

Amanda’s upbringing meant she never lacked nutrition, her height exceeding 1.7 meters, taller than most men.

More nutrition gathered in more important places, her figure more outstanding than Grendel’s.

Her young body seemed to defy gravity, standing tall and full of vitality, inspiring admiration from both men and women alike.

Her extensive training left no visible muscles on her body. Instead, her figure was more voluptuous compared to Boudica’s lean muscles, but anyone who underestimated her would suffer.

Whipping and throwing relied on the waist, and her nimble movements depended on her legs. During exertion, one could feel the muscles flexing under the skin, full of power.

Front and back usually matched, and Amanda was no exception. Ignoring the back while focusing on the front was a loss.

Amanda, like Boudica, wasn’t like those Spellcasters—they possessed close combat abilities.

However, unlike Boudica, who, like a beast, only knew to wear herself out, Amanda quickly adapted to the rhythm of the battle, even trying several times to seize the initiative on the battlefield.

But Lance wasn’t an ordinary person, and as Amanda used Suffocating Waves, he countered with Twin Dragons Emerge from the Sea...

In strength, stamina, recovery, Lance had the upper hand, even to the point of overpowering. No matter how arrogant Amanda was, she quickly surrendered in his presence.

”I quit! I quit!”

”Hmph! It’s not up to you or me if he doesn’t agree.”

Now, it wasn’t Amanda or Lance who had the say...

This battle went on until the carriage was nearly worn out.
