Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

”Ahhh!”

A string of screams, Qin Xin was about to collapse.

Even though she was wearing a thin layer of clothing under the towel, it was so sheer and minimal that it wasn’t much different from wearing nothing.

Master Tuantuan enveloped her in a hug, causing all of her to be exposed, ahhhh.

Though she respected him like a father, her mentor was still a man, after all.

In the moment she wanted to die, the man quickly scooped up the towel floating on the water and wrapped her tightly.

Then he gently placed her on the stone slab by the shore, even thoughtfully adding another towel underneath her seat, ”This way, you won’t slide off.”

This time, he didn’t walk to the other end of the spring.

Instead, he sat down right beside her, closed his eyes, and meditated in silence.

Qin Xin, who initially wanted to die from embarrassment, found herself too embarrassed to be bashful due to the man’s nonchalant actions.

Master was way too composed.

Well, it seemed like Master truly didn’t see me as a woman.

That’s good, that’s good, this way no one feels awkward.

She pressed her lips together and quietly loosened the towel—Master had wrapped her too tightly, almost more concerned about her exposure than she was.

Qin Xin exhaled a breath.

She was just about to relax and continue enjoying the hot spring.

When suddenly.

Her toes felt an unexpected itch as if something had bitten them.

”Ahhh! There’s a bug!”

She cried out again, unable to stay calm.

The man touched his forehead and finally opened his eyes, ”That’s not a bug, it’s a fish. This hot spring is fed by running water, and there are small fish swimming in here all year round. Don’t worry, they won’t bite.”

Qin Xin, still startled, said, ”Then why did it bite my foot!”

The man coughed, ”Maybe... you took a bath with petal water this morning? Fish like to eat flowers.”

Qin Xin: ”I...”

Indeed, she had used petal water for a bath earlier.

Could it be that petals were caught between her toes?

Alright, she’ll accept that explanation for now.

However, the man’s voice suddenly sounded in her ear, ”Since you know it’s fish, can you... change your sitting position?”

”What’s wrong with my sitting position? Sitting like this is comfortable and safe!” Qin Xin protested confidently.

But the next moment.

Her gaze lifted from the water as she looked at the man opposite her.

She gulped.

Speechless.

In her panicked scramble earlier, she had jumped onto Master Tuantuan’s lap, sitting cross-legged while clutching his shoulders tightly.

The embarrassment was real!

Qin Xin wanted to dive back into the water.

Just drown her, please.

Ahhhh.

”I’ll, I’ll adjust, I’ll adjust immediately. Master, don’t move, let me...”

Qin Xin took a deep breath, slowly raised her little foot, stepping off the man’s lap, and obediently returned to her previous spot.

Underneath the mask, the man’s face finally couldn’t help but twitch slightly, his lips pressed into a tight line.

Then.

With a long arm, he once again scooped her back to his side.

”Stay here.”

He kept her within arm’s length, so if any small fish nipped at her, or if she accidentally slipped into the water, or any other mishaps occurred, he could hold her immediately, calming her down.

Qin Xin’s heart inexplicably skipped.

Master... was awfully good at pampering girls, wasn’t he?

How did she ever think he was a big chunk of ice, a bachelor, like a wooden man?

In the past, Master had indeed been as cold as ice, only interacting with her in teaching lessons, martial arts, or preaching life philosophies, never letting her even touch him.

But today, no, since last night, how had Master seemed to switch on some kind of switch, deploying one grand gesture after another?

Master, could you possibly be a hidden multi-functional robot?
