Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

After coming out of the last hotel, Huo Tingzun’s face was as dark as the bottom of a pot.

In the entire vast Qingcheng, not a single hotel could free up two rooms?

Was it really not some trick by this damned woman beside him?

He made a call, instructing the Huo Family headquarters in Imperial City to immediately secure hotel rooms.

However, there was no news about the hotel situation, but a bombshell announcement came instead.

”President, all the hotels in the city are full now, because there are many stranded guests to accommodate. Also, Qingcheng is very dangerous there, we’ve put in a special request to see if a private plane can bring you back to Imperial City?”

The subordinate’s words made Huo Tingzun remain silent for a moment.

It turned out, it was because of an incident that there were no available rooms in the hotel.

It wasn’t Xiao Bailu’s tricks.

He had wronged that woman.

Huo Tingzun spoke in a deep voice to the subordinate on the phone, ”We’ll discuss this later. For now, leave it at that.”

Putting down the phone, he glanced at the woman beside him, who was clearly still gloating. His gaze turned mildly cold: ”You really want to share a room with me that much?”

Xiao Bailu choked: ”Who wants to? It’s all for work, work!”

Barely forming a coherent sentence, Xiao Bailu collected herself, then calmly retorted, ”What? Are you that afraid to share a room with me?”

Huo Tingzun snorted, ”There is nothing I’m afraid of in this life.”

Xiao Bailu: ”Fine then, go and check in.”

Huo Tingzun: ”Wait.”

Xiao Bailu: ”What for?”

Huo Tingzun walked into the nearest pharmacy: ”Alcohol wipes, a thermometer, and also... some cold medicine, fever medicine, get all of these.”

Xiao Bailu: ”...”

What the hell, the man is losing it, buying medicine in the middle of the night.

The man paid for the purchase and handed everything to her: ”Keep it handy.”

He then took out two masks: ”Put it on.”

The simple and cold command made Xiao Bailu quite displeased, yet intrigued.

Was he telling her to shut up because he found her too talkative?

But why did he put on one himself as well?

When the two returned to the Four Seas Hotel front desk, Xiao Bailu noticed something was amiss. The hotel’s previously bustling lobby was now empty.

Only a few staff and guests were on high alert.

Huh?

What happened?

When checking in again, Xiao Bailu inquired at the front desk and came to know the big event that had happened in Qingcheng.

”You’re lucky, the suite was still reserved for you, otherwise...” The front desk glanced at Huo Tingzun and whispered to Xiao Bailu, ”Even the most powerful president couldn’t find a hotel room in Qingcheng now. If you want to stay... you’d have to go to the hospital, or sleep on the street!”

Xiao Bailu initially just wanted to make a fuss for Huo Tingzun but hadn’t expected that instead of anticipating this complication, they would end up having no choice but to stay together.

Upon entering the room, Huo Tingzun first instructed her to disinfect all the doorknobs in the room.

”I’ll let the staff...”

Xiao Bailu’s suggestion wasn’t even finished.

Huo Tingzun vetoed it: ”Don’t let outsiders in. At this time, no one is safe.”

Xiao Bailu’s lips twitched: ”...”

Came to realize his sense of security was quite strong.

Alright, alright, she’d do it herself then.

After cleaning all the doorknobs, coffee table, bedside table, light switches, and everything else that might be touched.

She was so exhausted her arms felt useless.

But before she could sit and have a glass of water, the man issued another new command...
