I AM the Football Star

Pellegrini: ”This is the first time in my life that I’m thankful for an injury. If I had known earlier that Lu Yang was this amazing, I might have wished for an early retirement due to injury! But just this once, from now on, I hope I can fight alongside Lu!”

Audi: ”I haven’t played with Lu before, but I hope I can play with him often in the future, provided we’re teammates!”

Ameluci: ”I’ve said it many times, he’s a kid who keeps creating miracles. Lu is omnipotent in my heart!”

Chiavich: ”Initially, Bernulin said Lu would become the soul of any team. I didn’t believe it. But now, I even have a premonition that one day, his arm will bear the armband representing the captain of the Italy Team! That’s something I never imagined before!”

Praxedes: ”Playing with Lu genuinely makes you a better person. He rebuilt my confidence. No matter the adversity, I will not give up! If I win any championships in my football career from now on, it will definitely be thanks to Lu!”

Sevajos: ”I envy Lu’s ability to take the field. I hope one day I too can earn the right to stand beside him! He’s always been so outstanding, the best young player in my heart!”

Even Ancelotti, who had disputes on the field with Lu Yang and Morici.

Facing the camera, Ancelotti smiled faintly and explained: ”We’re all just trying to make Italy better. No one is at fault. We won’t bear grudges; it’s all for the best arrangement!”

”No ’ifs’! That free kick was taken by Lu. I don’t know what the outcome would be if I took it, but I congratulate Lu for doing something remarkable! Italy’s future might belong to them!”

Ancelotti got into the car and drove away.

But when the car window rolled up, his smile suddenly vanished, and his face turned grim.

Italy’s future must not belong to them!

Winning made Ancelotti very happy.

But... Lu Yang and Morici lack the most basic respect for him.

If these two become the core of the future Italy Team, Ancelotti finds it unsettling.

Ancelotti isn’t bad; he just happens to be on the opposing side of Lu Yang and Morici.

This makes things very difficult.

Beep beep beep!

Ancelotti’s phone rang. He answered—it was the club executive.

”Ancelotti, what do you think of player Lu?” the executive began.

Ancelotti frowned: ”Do you want the truth or a lie?”

The executive was full of questions.

Ancelotti said: ”The lie is, he’s Italy’s savior. Buy him, and he’ll help Juventus continue dominating Serie A, achieving the quadruple, quintuple, or even eight or nine straight wins!”

”But the truth is... he’s a player with good luck, balanced in all aspects but without outstanding abilities!”

”You know those stars that fall from grace at lightning speed? That’s his future!”

”Also, don’t ask me about Morici. That guy has skills, but his character is terrible! When facing enemies, he is as weak as...!”

”For heaven’s sake, don’t tell me you’re interested in them! I don’t like them! Not at all!”

Ancelotti hung up the phone.

On the other side, the Juventus executive sighed deeply.

It seems the club cannot acquire the San Remo twin stars.

What a pity.

Moreover, the club’s desire to recruit the twin stars was partly because of this match, and partly inspired by Zidane.

The Juventus executive understood Zidane’s idea and thought of Ancelotti.

Juventus has been looking for a replacement for Ancelotti. To ensure the replacement’s strength, they consecutively brought in two or three forwards around twenty-eight years old, in their prime.

This made Ancelotti very dissatisfied.

Among them, the second replacement performed quite well.

But there’s still some distance to fully replace Ancelotti, not enough to give the executives confidence to let go of Ancelotti.

So, this year, Juventus must renew the contract with Ancelotti.

That’s the harsh reality; Ancelotti, almost 33 years old, is too strong for Juventus to let go!

This is also why the Italian golden generation’s careers are stronger than their contemporaries; their peaks are indeed very strong, and their prime lasts long.

Even the newly grown top forwards can’t replace them as they enter the later stages of their careers.

Therefore, to maintain team harmony and allow Ancelotti to become a Juventus legend without turmoil, the executives have recently decided to pause replacing Ancelotti.

They hoped to buy the potential and popular San Remo twin stars, allowing the young players to quietly support Ancelotti for two years.

After that, Ancelotti could assist the young players in helping Juventus transition their core players.

This is beneficial to both parties.

Lu Yang and Morici are young enough to wait casually for two years!

Mbappe won the World Cup at eighteen and spent three or four years silently beside Neymar, didn’t he?

But to have a twenty-nine-year-old player wait two years, that’s clearly not possible.

Unfortunately, such a proposal was rejected by Ancelotti before it could be put forward.

The Juventus executives don’t know who’s right, but for now, they certainly can’t afford to lose Ancelotti.

Juventus’s dominance in the league fell last year, largely due to Ancelotti’s injury absence.

...

”The true god has appeared! See you at next year’s European Cup!”
