I AM the Football Star

Chapter 439: Chapter 123: All Stars, Let’s Get Hyped (Part 3)

The commentators were lavishly praising Rashim because his goal was truly incredible.

Such attention is something Lu Yang is quite familiar with, as the commentators would do the same for him most times he scored a miraculous goal.

Lu Yang watched Rashim, and he felt he should pay more attention to Rashim and Mancini.

Rashim is peculiar. He doesn’t give off an overwhelmingly strong vibe but feels very ”instinctual”.

As for Mancini, undoubtedly, his strength is indisputable.

Lu Yang even suspected if Mancini’s rating had already broken through the star barrier, reaching the level of an elite star at 85 and above.

Do you know how young Mancini is?

If he’s already an elite star now, then in two to three years, with his growth rate, he might become a top star.

And during his peak, he could very well become a ”superstar”!

”Hey, let’s get hyped, guys!”

Lu Yang’s thoughts were interrupted by Rashim.

After scoring, he pulled his teammates to celebrate together, dancing awkward nightclub moves on the green field.

Those graceful dance moves and funny expressions made people unable to hold back their laughter.

The atmosphere of the entire England Team instantly became lively.

”This is not a good thing,” Morici came to Lu Yang’s side, whispering with him.

You have to admit, the players of the England Team are indeed a group of talented stars.

Such a team is sometimes hard to play against, especially when they find that sense of confidence and freedom.

Then potentially, anyone could explode with talent.

And their explosive talent is enough to change the outcome of a match.

This is what makes the All-Star Team terrifying.

And now, Rashim has apparently unlocked the happiness level of the whole team; everyone no longer has the constraints of tension, theoretically meaning any England player could replicate the performances of Mancini and Rashim.

This is absolutely terrifying.

”Indeed, it’s a bit tricky; happy football always allows players to perform beyond their capabilities,” Lu Yang nodded.

In such situations, there’s often a very standardized way to handle it.

That is... strong and aggressive defensive actions.

Intimidate the opponent!

This is the best way to suppress young talented players, quite effective.

Even the young Cristiano used to be taught in this way by older players, and after being taught, he usually did become more honest.

But the problem is, this is the England Youth Team.

More than half of their players are starters in teams at the Five Major Leagues level.

Many of them can excel even in the brutal, fast-paced confrontations of the Premier League.

And the pressure from the Italy National Youth Team cannot possibly reach the level of the English Super League.

So this method is ineffective.

Of course, facing geniuses, there’s another way to make them restrained, or at least not as relaxed.

That is to display talent of the same level and make them take you seriously.

What’s the essence of happy football?

Is it unsteady fundamental skills?

No!

Whether it’s Lin Huang or Sterling with his prominent backside, they were youth prodigies shining brightly from a young age. Even if their basic skills aren’t as good as Messi’s of the same age, they probably still surpass most stars of the same age group.

If they had trouble with their fundamentals, they wouldn’t even get a chance to play in the Premier League.

In fact, the essence of happy football is insufficient mental resilience, which affects muscles and nerves at crucial moments, causing movements to deform.

Kids who appear very confident often get stage fright during truly big occasions.

From long ago, this trait has been engrained in the tradition of the England National Team, never really changing; it’s just that in recent years, the term ”happy football” has become popular.

But actually, they’ve always been very happy.

So Lu Yang decided to apply some pressure on them.

And the only one capable of exerting technical pressure on the England players from Italy’s side is likely Sevajos.

Morici’s technique is also fine, but his speed isn’t great, and his impact is lacking a bit.

So Lu Yang temporarily switched positions with Morici, standing at the left attacking midfielder, and found Sevajos to have a brief discussion.

Sevajos didn’t have any doubts about Lu Yang’s arrangement.

Captain Lu has the final say!

If there’s anyone stronger than Lu when it comes to field vision, Sevajos wouldn’t believe it for a second.

During last year’s Star of Italy campaign, Lu Yang’s research and grasp of player psychology were so superb that he led a group of second-rate young Italian players to defeat a substitute-level Arsenal.

This absolutely wasn’t because Arsenal was too weak.

What?

Why not consider it was just because Arsenal was too weak?

Haha, are you joking!

...

Whistle!

The game resumed.

This time, the Italy Team firmly controlled the ball, allowing Sevajos to get a feel on the left flank.

But Rashim’s commitment to the game was astonishing.

Having just scored a goal, he was now making an impact on defense.

His range of movement was vast, and Sevajos, bothered by him, had several unsuccessful breakthroughs, forcing him to back pass.

People who often watch Lu Yang play could clearly feel that this Rashim bears some resemblance to Lu.

Their runs are both very proactive.

The only difference might be that Lu Yang’s movement is very defensive, with excellent defensive ability.

Whereas Rashim’s is more like stirring the pot—lacking focus but incredibly annoying and irritating.
