I AM the Football Star

Chapter 415: Chapter 118: European Youth Championship Call-Up, 4123 Formation? (Part 3)

”Alright, don’t worry, I won’t interfere with Lu Yang. By the way, in a few days I’m going to Italy to film with the National Youth Team. Take care of yourself, okay? If the Italy National Youth Team makes it to the group stage, I’ll get you tickets to watch some high-level matches. Don’t keep watching the National Team, it’s just frustrating and might make you sick again...”

The whole family was incredibly harmonious, enthusiastically discussing football.

A few days later.

Tang Yuqin flew to Italy, heading to the training base of the Italy National Youth Team with Luo Cheng.

The last trip to San Remo was a bit rushed, considering it was a new show without influence and limited budget.

But this time was different.

After the success of ”Super Football,” Tang Yuqin’s status was recognized, and no one dared to take advantage of it. This show quickly became the flagship program of CCTV Sports Channel.

The budget was substantial.

Moreover, collaborations were much easier; any organization with thoughts on the Chinese market wouldn’t easily refuse cooperation requests from ”Super Football.”

Capitalizing on the opportunity, Luo Cheng decided to go all in on Maniero after the Italy National Youth Team announced their roster.

So, ”Super Football” special program ”Italy National Youth Team’s European Youth Championship Journey” entered the preparation stage.

This was akin to the domestic show ”World Football News,” but one focused on the England Youth Team and the other on the Italy National Youth Team.

These two programs were to determine superiority through this European Youth Championship.

”Super Football” indeed thrived this two months.

But ”World Football News” had been popular for many years, not something a new show could overthrow in just a couple of months.

It’s like Mango Channel, which despite losing market share steadily after 2012 and being surpassed by other satellite channels, bounced back to prominence a few years later and reclaimed dominance by 2018.

”Super Football” doesn’t want to give ”World Football News” such a chance, aiming to defeat the latter in one go.

”Hello, welcome!”

At the entrance of the training base, an assistant coach had been waiting for a long time.

With the introduction of Sotu and Lu Yang, Maniero agreed to cooperate with CCTV, offering them the opportunity to document everything.

However, all video content shot by CCTV had to be shared with the Italian Football Association. If the team did well, they would air these documentary-like clips on RAI to restore honor for Maniero and the players!

Doing practical work is important, but publicity is also crucial.

”Please wait here for a moment, we’re waiting for someone else.” The assistant coach said apologetically.

Luo Cheng and Tang Yuqin were easygoing, agreeing readily.

A few minutes later, a red Ferrari LaFerrari roared in.

The supercar stopped before everyone, the door opened, and Lu Yang emerged from the car, from the front passenger seat.

On the other side, Sofia also stepped out of the car.

Today she was dropping Lu Yang off at the training base.

Although the training camp had started more than a week ago, Lu Yang only reported now.

It was specially permitted by Maniero.

During this time, Lu Yang’s injuries further healed, and he was almost ready to join training.

But he still had to be cautious, to avoid another injury before fully recovering.

”Xiaoqin!” Sofia looked at Tang Yuqin and rushed over to give her an enthusiastic hug.

After all, Tang Yuqin was the second Chinese person Sofia really knew.

Although one can learn a lot from books, truly understanding Chinese men requires a Chinese woman.

Thus, Sofia was eager to connect with Tang Yuqin, aiming to quickly become best friends and further her relationship with Lu Yang.

In less than a month, Lu Yang would turn eighteen.

The public believed the age gap was the barrier to Sofia and Lu Yang’s relationship progressing, but how could that be true!

It’s relatively easy to judge whether a woman is sexually active, especially if she’s never been with anyone.

But how can you tell with a man?

Legally, yes, but if Sofia really forced herself on Lu Yang, would he accuse her of harassment?

The true obstacle to Sofia and Lu Yang’s deeper relationship is their emotional distance.

They are now very comfortable with each other, but Sofia still senses she’s lacking a vital allure to Lu Yang.

She hasn’t seen enough desire, that beast-like hunger, in Lu Yang’s eyes.

She must better stir Lu Yang’s emotions and make him genuinely recognize her, fall in love with her... and love her!

”Sofia, it’s great to see you again.” Tang Yuqin was slightly uncomfortable with Sofia’s enthusiasm, but since it was Sofia, no one could resist the embrace of Kiss of Europa, not even a woman.

”Hello, I’m Luo Cheng.”

On the other side, Luo Cheng was getting acquainted with Lu Yang.

The group chatted while entering the base.

”Alright, so tonight you settle in, and tomorrow evening we’ll have dinner together... If there are any issues with the filming, just let me know. I’m familiar with Maniero, I’m quite influential there.” After entering the training base, Lu Yang was preoccupied with heading to the field, so he didn’t stay long with everyone.
