I AM the Football Star

Chapter 412: Chapter 117: San Remo Has Gone Mad, and So Has Maniero

Meanwhile, internally extremely sensitive and petty, becoming calculative about team relationships and status on the field.

This isn’t the nature of a player but rather the expected manifestation of a midlife crisis and severe anxiety disorder.

If you’re a professional athlete, you can noticeably feel this change in your teammates around thirty years old.

It’s as obvious as a woman’s menopause, as if they’ve become a different person.

But as mentioned before, with players’ scientific dieting and maintenance, the slow decline in physical fitness, relatively stable on-field performance, and having a happy family as support, once older players get through this hurdle of thirty, their state can actually be maintained for a long time.

Bernulin is such a happy player, he’s obviously not affected by the midlife crisis despite his Mediterranean baldness being so apparent.

Not thinking too much, or rather thinking clearly, is an important secret for older players to maintain their state.

Of course, having an extreme personality also helps keep in form, but it’s exhausting.

Overall, Bernulin might bring surprises to San Remo!

After looking at Bernulin, Lu Yang looked at the other three new signings.

Canyes has a rating of seventy-seven, considered strong for his age group, but given that he’s a player who has played in Serie A, this fully illustrates that his gain from this Serie A season isn’t that much, at least not a qualitative change compared to last year.

His improvement might even be less than Morici, who was lying halfway through the season for the past year.

This might also be the reason why he’s willing to come to San Remo.

Areola is rated seventy-five and can almost directly replace Jalard.

Next season, Jalard will most likely start winding down in the second half of the season.

Calafiori, worthy of being a mascot on the forward line wandering in Serie A for many years, from being able to compete with superstars like Carrel, Perrotta, and Gutierrez, you can see his solid background.

Despite not participating in games extensively for years, he still maintains a rating standard of seventy-six, which is at a mid-range level in the Five Major Leagues, truly remarkable.

”What eighty-four?” Sotu sitting beside Lu Yang asked again, ”Honestly, how do you see our transfer in this window?”

Lu Yang smiled at Sotu: ”It’s definitely one hundred out of one hundred! To be honest, all the new signings this time are very strong!”

Sotu revealed a satisfied smile.

Today was a small gathering, but the scale was not low.

With attendees like Lu Yang, Morici, Sotu, Maniero, Russell, Hans, Arthas, Martivini, and others.

Because today is Maniero’s last day to announce the exact big list for this year’s European Youth Championship.

After today, Maniero will gather all the heroes to enter training mode, preparing for the European Youth Championship due in over a month.

”It’s been almost a month, Lu, how is your injury going?” Martivini said, ”Honestly, seeing you without a crutch, I’m a bit worried.”

Lu Yang smiled slightly.

Morici said unkindly: ”Don’t even mention it, this morning he was even practicing dribbling in the yard, I was scared stiff, aren’t you afraid of worsening your injury again?”

Everyone was surprised when they heard that.

”Don’t worry everybody, I’m different from before,” Lu Yang said.

Previously, a muscle strain would take him over a month to recover.

But now... perhaps that random buff that reduces injury by fifty to ninety percent hit ninety, plus a two hundred percent recovery speed, Lu Yang feels he’s healing really fast.

At least, he feels he’s now in a similar state to when he insisted on playing against AC Milan.

Give him another half a month, and he thinks he’s sure to recover completely.

But it’s pointless to talk about these things.

So Lu Yang took out a professional medical report from the hospital.

Of course, because Lu Yang’s previous injuries had been leaked by the hospital, this time he went to a private hospital, the type with a high expense but strong confidentiality.

Everyone looked at the evaluation results, dumbfounded.

The supposedly torn cruciate ligament, is almost healed?

The meniscus shows no wear, what is this?

Across from Lu Yang, Maniero, whose hair was originally messy due to the lineup, had a flash of light in his eyes.

At this moment, the two exchanged a look, and understood what the other meant.

Do it or not?

Of course, do it!

And the others sitting around them hadn’t realized yet.

Until the next day, when Maniero’s Euro Youth Championship roster was officially announced.

Sotu, Martivini, Russell and others jumped up at the first moment and dialed Maniero’s phone, but unfortunately, the phone they dialed was busy.

Sotu: ”Maniero has lost his mind!”

Martivini: ”Why?”

Russell: ”Is this possible?”

The reaction of these three represented the reaction of the entire Italy.

Because anyone who knows Italian football would know, there’s a name that absolutely shouldn’t appear on this list.

Those two words are so glaring at this moment!
